World Ranking & POY-ROY updates

World Rankings

Paul McBeth remains top ranked in the World just missing his chance to sweep all four 2013 Majors. He finished 8th at the USDGC with a furious finish posting a final round rated 1094. This is the best round ever for courses in the SSA 66+ range. McBeth has now posted the best round ever duing 2013 in three of the five course SSA ranges that we track. David Feldberg jumped to 2nd in the World just ahead of Will Schusterick by posting two 2nds and two 4ths in Majors this year. Matt Orum, Steve Rico and Barry Schultz all made big moves up to 5th, 7th and 8th respectively with top finishes at the USDGC compared with their 2012 results.

Valarie Jenkins moves back to the top of the World with three 2nds and a 3rd in the four Majors this year. Catrina Allen moves up to 2nd barely slipping by Paige Pierce now 3rd by 0.2 points. Pierce was on a quest similar to McBeth to sweep all four Majors having won the three prior to the USWDGC.

Player and Rookie of the Year

Paul McBeth and Paige Pierce currently lead the point totals for Player of the Year (POY). Holly Finley and Raymond Oberley Jr lead the Rookie of the Year (ROY) standings. Please contact PDGA HQ in case we missed a player who should also be in contention for ROY. Any player who did not accept cash for the first time in FPO or MPO until after 2012 Pro-Am Worlds in Charlotte is a contender for ROY in 2013.
