Since 1981, Marty Hapner has inspired disc golfers with his undying dedication to our sport. A class sportsman, he has been instrumental in the creation and growth of the desirable De LaVeaga Disc Golf Course; he hascaptained the outstanding Santa Cruz Disc Golf Team. Marty’s professionalism has been instrumental in the success of the Faultline Classic tournament, the Master’s Cup and the World Disc Games as Event Coordinator. From bringing disc golf to MTV to providing one of the first available individual and tournament scoring programs on the Web, Marty has been an influential promoter. His excellence as the original web master for discgolf.com and PDGA.com is exemplary and but a part of his legacy. He is the “Father of Disc Golf on the Internet.” For players who love disc golf, Marty is at the top of the list.
