Course Map (http://pub45.bravenet.com/photocenter/album.php?img=112392&usernum=3840607915)
There's a little bit of everything...water on 3 or 4 holes, some open shots, some tight shots...better than Lamar, IMO.

Feb 10 2007, 09:55 PM
Workday went great! There are five baskets in the ground and three sleeves should be dry by Tuesday and then put in the ground.. One basket needs special attention, we couldnt get the sleeve off, so we are planting the whole thing in concrete, but we needed additional materials, stake it off and tie it down. All the tee posts are in, to include three pro tees. As it ends up, there are only two holes over the water, but they are doosies...Longest hole is only like 400 ft or so, maybe 420, but other than that the hole 1 pro tee over the water is at least 380 ft. Hole 8 is very special, both the am and the pro tee go over the water, AWESOME!!!
This course is at least four or five strokes tougher than Lamar! Its also set up to turn around and play the course backwards, its even tougher.....

Advice.
1. Do not wear open toed shoes.
2. Wear jeans.
3. Wear long sleeves.
3. Bring a machete.
4. Bring SCUBA gear.
5. Leave your Hyzer at home.
The course is fairly easy but arrant drives are so screwed.

I wouldnt call it easy, but I also wouldnt call it a beginner course. If you have good drives on the water holes and can keep your drive in the middle of the fairway on 2, 6 and 7, you should do okay. I would say there are 2 or 3 definite birdies, out of the 9, for most of us.... /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

The Texas Womens Championship 2007 is April 21 & 22; we are interested in Texas club participation of this event. In the past clubs sponsored with merchandise and with man power. We want to see this continue. We want to challenge each club to send the most women from their area. We are trying to break the women only attendance record and what better place than Texas. We can use volunteers to escort, disc golf merchandise for ctps, a Texas size player packs, and anything surrounding lady golf. Something I would like to see our club sponsored girly stations. The club could pick a hole to set up a canopy with water, face wipes, candies and club hospitality towards the players.
The question is not if you are interested, but how you are interested in help.
Contact myself or Ed Coffey to work out the logistics. This is our ladies weekend. So lets honor them with our support! Let us know your ideas, we maybe the tournament directors, but the event is Texas owned.

I want challenge the clubs of Texas. Texas Womens Championships is April 26 & 27 and we want to present the opportunity to highlight your club during the TWC. We started the girly station experience and we want the clubs of Texas to improve on that idea.
Last year was a very successful experience for the ladies and the girly station was a big part of that. Consider representing your club by having the best girly station. We have designated areas to best serve the ladies. Contact Ed Coffey or me and we will ensure a place in the action.
And of course we will accept any form of sponsorship. So if you cannot be involved in a girly station, then make sure to support the event with sponsorship, escorts or my favorite CASH. Behind every man is a lady, so dont miss the opportunity to back a lady. I will be the first to recognize support and the first to point out lack of involvement. SEND ME YOUR LADIES!
