The regular sunday mini is goin to be moved back to 6:00 just because of the heat... Next weekend is going to be in Ingleside around 9 i think...

Sun the 7th we will meet at 9.30 in Ingelside and play two rounds Teeing off at 10 .Pro 14$ adv 12$ int 10$ rec 10$ these all include a $4 ace pot that we will give away that day if no ace is hit CTP.If you dont want to pay the $ 4 bucks you dont have too .I am going to ask Ingelside to include their ace pot .The sunday drivers ace pot will not be in effect .

We will be having a club meeting after the mini on sun If you cant make the mini The meeting will be at about 4pm.The thurs Ingelside ace pot $150 will be in effect plus $4 per person .So the ace should be worth about $250.If nobody hits it we will have a Ctp for what was raised that Day. 9.30 players meeting Tee off at Ten. :cool:

Next Wend June 29th ,I will be at Billish park all day installing Sleeves and putting in Tsigns for the new Park on the island .I walked it today and Dave Duhart has done a great job getting this course ready .I would love any help .We will be dropping the baskets in next sat the 2nd.A course five minutes from the beach how cool is that .

hey Bender , if you have never played ingleside you should!! It is a good and fair playing type course and you would definately like it!! :D

The first time I played Ingleside I only had DX had been playing about a month swore I'd never go back. I love that course now. It has been fun to learn there. All shots are needed.

plans are to fish Thursday morning and win the Ingleside in the afternoon :D
I have never played the course but I am looking forward to it.

If you will be at the Clash this weekend, there's no reason you shouldnt be at the mini in Ingleside.

We did talk about having an extra club ace pot for the clash, but we would of only been able to do it during the 1 round that everyone played the same tee's & same # of holes. Neither of the 2 ace's were during the round that everyone played from the reds. & we never got a chance to announce that we were goin to have the ace pot in for club members because of the different formats.

also lance it is not common to have a club ace pot in effect during a tournament anyway. If you play a tourney that has a club ace pot in effect you should feel fortunate.

Third Coast DGC will be running a GLO-MINI in Ingleside starting at 6pm on Thursday nights (Nov. 10 'til daylight savings time or further notice). We will be setting up the "original 9 hole course" (Holes 1,2,3,7,8,9,10,11,18... I think!?)and play it twice. Get your lights and come join your fellow discgolfers for some fun in the dark!

9 holes:

10*, 11*, 18, 1*, 2, 3, 7*, 8*, 9

* = Alt tee location

We played today and finished up right at 6:00 and it was still dusk. Depending on light, we might need to start a little later. (Also I think we told Mike Smith 6:30) Although, the deeper into winter we get, we earlier we can start.

What a blast!! The GLO-Mini went smoothly... except for the fact that I lost 1st place $$$ in the playoff :(. We had a great time out @ Ingelside and hope to see more golfers out there next week. Geoff, Congrats on the win. I'm expecting an -8 or

We of course play for tags and whoever is low tag calls the game, last week we did the DD course and before that we did red/blue, so whatever Fabian(#4) feels like playing. Where are tags #2 and #3? Teeing off between 1130 and noon and we have to be done by 3pm, Fabian has to be at work by 4.

Fabian kept #4, Erron got #7. We did red/blue(also 11 blue) and I had 6 birdies and a 7 to finish 3rd. Tator, Tye and Chaos were also there.

Highly likely to be at the park on Christmas 4 year old is with Mom, 17 is with me. We'll probably play around two.

Buccaneer Bay - Lamar, Texas

9 Hole Executive golf course just north of Rockport. Gabe, Gavino and I went out last week to walk it and see what was there...when we were going inside, a golfer told us the clubhouse was closed, no one was there. Apparently this golf course has been dead for 4-5 months, and fairways and greens are in bad need of repair...too bad for golfers, merry christmas disc golfers. 4 tees per hole play between 300 ft and 550 ft. Water hazard on EVERY hole. (I'm down 3 discs in two trips) I was wary at first, thought every hole would be wide open, but there are nice obstacles, elevation changes (10-15ft) and did I mention water? Anyway, its worth looking at, and if you're really interested, it's for sale. The sign says:

54+ acres, clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts, 9-hole golf course.

Erron won with a -7, and there was a three(four) way tie for 2nd at 5 down, tator, fabian and John(lefty) and I was at -4. Wish you could have been there. we had three cards going on. Tony is correct on the date, July 15-16. That is 2 weeks before Am Worlds in Tulsa so is a good opportunity for anyone going to Worlds to get in some good match practise.

The date was moved mainly so we avoid the hundreds of runners that the August date gave us. This time we will be able to start Saturday morning and finish the second round in time for a players party that night. One round Sunday followed by a Final 9. Everyone should be done by 3pm Sunday.

I choose not to answer based on the fact I want everyone to not only play fair, but to play. I am used to the "talkers", I play with Chaos at least once a week.Most everyone has some little irrating thing that they do, me included.

Travis will be at the mini on Sunday, I have assured him there will be no incidents and that we are going to play "DISC GOLF!"

I have been with my present girlfriend for over a year. It truly helps your game when you have a woman that understands you being passionate about something other than them. I got her a bag and several good discs so she will be at the park a little more than just as my caddy. Are you single? Good round Billy..Just to clear up some earlier posts. Erron made it clear to me that I sound like I am hitting metal on my drives, nope (well a few). I shoot five down without making a putt or a bogey. I could go lower. I just clank my 20 foot birdie putts.

Yeah Ryan came out today and Billy took the #1 tag. I tied Billy, but he had the lower tag to begin the round, so I got #4. Ryan got #14 Albert got #20, they both tied at one stroke back in 2nd. Dont remember where tye and trey finished, but Chaos left early and took ghost tag #31. Beautiful day and hit #2 chains in doubles with my xtreme in and out of the chains after big skip.

Ingleside nite golf was once again freakin awesome! Mando had a course record -9 and Toby had a three down, Albert with 2 down and I had 1 down. Great weather.
We are teeing off at 130 at Guth today if anyone can make it.

I was at a wedding today with no less than twenty disc golfers in attendance. Albeit most of them are pretty casual players, non-smokers, and non-drinkers. One is a very good player but has only played one PDGA event. His two best rounds at Guth -6 from the reds. I've seen him hit the basket on 1 red. They are missing Lamar and may be willing to help with the course. They related to me concerns about gas prices keeping them from wanting to go all the way out to Guth.

It was my understanding that 18 new baskets would be installed at Guth and the existing baskets relocated to Lamar and a park in the Bluff.

I am at a loss as to what to tell people.

Who should these folks talk to? They have talked with a few different Third Coast members including myself and it is really starting to look like we aren't doing anything except blowing smoke up the skirts of everyone who is not serious about just playing DG.


Oh by the way BADGA has a bad reputation and Third Coast is getting one. Loose lips sink ships as the saying goes.

If someone is talking smack by bashing the club you need to let them know what is going on. Just cause there is a club doesnt mean there is unlimited funds to buy new baskets. Baskets for Guth will be over $5000, it takes a while to make that much money. This person you are referring to, did he ever come to the Tuesday minis? Has he paid into the club?

Lance I think what Erron is trying to say is there is a time and place to voice opionions like you do and this "public" message board is not the place. If you have a problem, ideas, or whatever that concern the area speak to the locals involved in private. The phone and private emails are a wonderful thing as well.

Remember its not what you say so much as when and how you say it.

The poles for the refurbished baskets from Lamar Park are at my house... and need to be taken to the dump as they are rusted out and not usable. The club needs to purchase chains and poles for those baskets.

New record for the Ingleside night mini, Ryan and I both shot -10. I wonder what it will be after next week? :D I really need to stop hitting aces before the mini, aced 11 last night with my putter warming up.......

Just wanted to set the record straight, The city will not be pulling any baskets from our park anytime in the near future. In fact they just added 3 new holes which puts us to a total of 40 permanent holes with pads. We have lost 2 main players in the fight though, our city mgr Joe Painter and our parks Director Joe Minilla due to political BS. These were all personal attacks on the the city manager, disc golf had nothing to do with it because of all of our positive efforts. It may come back and huant us one day, but there is still alot of development to be done with the collage and all. so don't worry, thanks for continuing to support our club and believe me if we need to circle the wagons y'all will know it. Keep em flying!

Cruz says "Hi'" to everybody. He had a back injury in September that took a while to heal and he had a death in the family so he was not feeling much like playing. Says he is going to try to start playing again and try to play the VO. Going to start out slow and play casual between now and then.

Lost my dark blue dyed Proline Spider some where on Monday or Tuesday. Don't even remember throwing it but maybe on 14. Hope a 3C found it. Pretty unique disc as I dyed it. A fiver if I get it back.

Also, Victoria is less than a month away. We should carpool up there before the tourney and play(at least a couple of times) , get a hold of me if u r interested.

The "meeting" with the park board went down last night - there's good news and bad news:

First, the bad news: 10 minutes after start time, the board was still one member short of a corum (sp?) and therefore, the meeting didn't OFFICIALLY take place.

Good news: of the board members that WERE there, all of them seemed interested and enthusiastic about a disc golf course in our park. The reception was about as good as we could've hoped, even though, officially, there was no response ...politics...

So the next step is to come out to Memorial Park on Mon, Feb. 27 at 6:00PM where the OFFICIAL meeting will take place. We'll have at least one basket set up, and small flags marking teepads and other pole locations. If all goes to plan, Feb will give Park approval, March will give City approval, April will give equipment / sponsors, and by May/June, the park should be in the ground...if all goes to plan.

Thanks to Gabe and Brennen for being there to support, and special thanks to Lance for coming all the way from Odem for 3C Disc Golf!!

I should be able to go in February. I can bring my basket even though it is a POS. I can see if I can borrow Smokey's as well.

Sounds good, Lance...I dont know if we'll need more than one basket though...its still a long ways away, so theres time to figure out what we need. Talk it up on the course, and clear your calendar early (I'm talking to you, TripleMando).
