Becky Zallek PDGA #9388 has been battling Glioblastoma (GBM) a type of brain cancer for well over a year now. The doctors found a new tumor back in December and Becky underwent her third brain surgery on January 30, 2013; an eight hour procedure to hopefully remove the tumor.

The Professional Disc Golf Association is pleased to announce the release of the Bid Guidelines for PDGA Major Events for events in the years 2013, 2014, and 2015. The PDGA has created these bid guideline packages to assist prospective communities in presenting their case for hosting one of disc golf’s showcase events and lays out the guidelines on how to prepare a bid to host a PDGA Major.

Primary Host Hotel

The 2012 World Championships will put the spotlight on established, world-class courses like Hornet’s Nest and Renaissance, and give players the chance to experience newer courses such as Nevin, R.L. Smith and Bradford, which are bristling with challenges.

All 14 courses used are in our home county and within 30 minutes of The Blake, the host hotel located in uptown Charlotte. Most Pro divisions will play three courses twice in preliminary rounds, with most Amateur players playing five different courses.
