The 2015 PDGA Elections have begun and will run the entire month of July. During the first week of July, all current members for whom the PDGA has an email address on file will receive an email from Intelliscan, Inc. with voting instructions and a link to their individual ballot. If we do not have an email address on file for the member, or the first email bounces back, the member will be mailed a postcard with online voting instructions. On or about July 20, all members with valid emails who have not yet voted will be sent an email reminding them to vote. Those members who do not have access to the Internet will also be able to contact the PDGA office and request a paper ballot.

On May 20th, 2015, the PDGA Board of Directors appointed Hans Nagtegaal #44969 as a replacement for former Board member Karolyn O'Cull #16994. Hans' term will end on September 1st, the same date that Karolyn's would have. Hans will be campaigning to keep his seat during the quickly approaching PDGA Elections. Voting will take place online between July 1st and July 31st, 2015 and the new terms will begin September 1st, 2015.

Hans Nagtegaal was born in and currently lives in The Netherlands. He started playing disc golf in 2010, and has since developed an impressive resume as an advocate for the sport.

Do you play disc golf on occasion with your buddies, just a few times a year, without really understanding the rules? Are you someone that’s never even considered playing in a sanctioned tournament? Do you see disc golf as a fun hobby but not as a genuine competitive and athletic sport? No need to worry, that’s perfectly ok with us. We all took to the tee pad the first few times with the same attitude. The point is, as much as we love all disc golfers, this article probably isn’t for you.

On Tuesday evening September 2nd, the PDGA Board of Directors met for the September monthly teleconference. The first order of business was the election of Board officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The process for the election of Board officers is available in Section 4 of the PDGA Bylaws. Rebecca Duffy, Dave West, Robert Decker and Kevin Mccoy will serve as officers and members of the executive committee until the next board officer elections in 2015.

The PDGA Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the following four PDGA members as candidates for the 2014 PDGA Board of Directors elections. The PDGA elections will take place during the month of July and will once again be administered electronically by Intelliscan. Elections Process

The 2013 PDGA elections are now underway and will run during the entire month of July.

The PDGA Board formed the Nominating Committee at the 2011 Spring Summit with the overall goal being to enhance the quality of the election pool, ultimately improving the effectiveness of the elected Board. The principal motivation for this effort is the realization that the responsibilities of PDGA Board members have become significantly more demanding as the organization and the sport has grown larger and more complex. Additionally, there is the concern that there are qualified candidates within our membership who might need additional motivation and information in order to consider running for a Board position.

The deadline for the submission of candidate documents for the PDGA Board of Directors is Friday, June 7, 2013.

The votes from the 2012 PDGA elections are in and have been counted. The elections took place last month and voting ended on July 31st. 15,561 ballots were sent out to eligible members with 2,990 members voting, representing a participation rate of 19.21% of eligible voters.
