State Coordinator Switch in South Texas

Tuesday, January 10, 2017 - 17:02

We would like to inform you that there will be a switch in the State Coordinator position for South Texas which will be effective immediately as of today, January 10, 2017. Previous State Coordinator, Billy Nelson #13448 has stepped down due to an opportunity which will consume a great deal of his time and require him to move to North Texas. Please join us in wishing him the best and thanking him for his time.

To determine who would fill the position as interim State Coordinator, we referred to the results of the initial election in 2015. Interestingly enough, the results of that election saw Mr. Mitch Justice #15022 receiving over 50% of the total votes, while Mr. Nelson received 34%. Later, in 2016, Mitch had to step down for personal reasons, at which time Mr. Nelson stepped in. Therefore, and because Mitch is once again able to serve in this capacity, he has been reinstated. After discussing the options with Billy and Mitch, it was agreed by all parties that Mitch would best fill the position and would complete the term as State Coordinator, which ends August 31, 2017.

We welcome back Mitch Justice as South Texas State Coordinator and thank him for his dedication and efforts. Should you need anything from Mitch, he can be reached through the Contacts page of the PDGA website

Thanks for your attention, and we hope you are off to a great start in 2017!
