PDGA Ratings Distribution Stats Updated

The ratings distribution for players with PDGA numbers who played at least one sanctioned round in 2012 has been updated in the Ratings section

Compound annual participant growth rate was just over 10% for the PDGA globally for the four years since the last update for YE2008. Juniors and Women growth rates were average over that period with some increase in women rated under 800. The majority of growth was among amateur males at most levels.

Growth among rating ranges below the highest level pros was more than 10% below average. It appears that baby boomer pros moving into the older divisions have been helping boost pro participants and average rating in the MPG and MPS divisions while the number of post boomers in the Masters age range are somewhat behind the average growth.
