You said name the time and place and that's exactly what I intend to do. I will huddle with my team, find a date that is suitable, since we obviously have important engagements and obligations that people of our stature are bound to have, and will find a convenient time to dispatch you like the impudent clones you are. I'm thinking Circle R Wimberley would be a good location, but if that's too long for you guys (I know Danielle could hang, but I'm not sure about Benjammin), another selection could be considered.

I was thinking more along the lines of a nice quite challenge match somewhere that those boys (ha, they don't even have a girl unless you count Ben), would be able to take their whooping without so much public scrutiny.

However that gold layout of yours for the Beast would certainly be a great place to determine who the real golfing team is. Maybe you need a test run on that layout with some rated players prior to the LSDGA event?

Its pretty obvious to me who owned who this weekend with those last 3 breakdowns. Team E had more finishes in the cash, more wins and more total winnings for the weekend. With both Team Leaders taking a DFL, I believe that part is a wash.

Why yes, Mitch, as a matter of fact, I did. On Saturday, at least. Soundly too. Even though he was kicking my mini, hiding my chair in trees, running over my discs with his cart and kicking dirt on my lies whenever possible, I managed to remain calm and deliver the whooping he so deserved.

On Sunday, evidently, I wasn't very focused, as the Saki from the previous evening was clouding my putting lines. :)

Relaxing weekends with significant others was pretty much the order of the day for the rest of the team, since we get out and play just a bit more than you guys. Since you need the practice though, keep it up.

BTW, it was a dirty trick to add a good friend to the Redneck roster just to gun for me. However, if Mrs. Vargas can show up her Rebel husband without hesitation on a regular basis, I suppose I can continue to put the whoopings on my friend Mr. Logan that he has become so accustomed to receiving from me.

I will give credit to Teem Rednecklution though. It seems that did do a better job than us this weekend of...showing up. Congrats.

(Hope DV, JK and SB can forgive me for tagging them with unrequested nicknames. :) )

Here's what I can tell the masses at this point.

The location for the first and final stand of Teem Rednecknation will be Waco, TX. Both teams will serve as guniea pigs for the awesome Gold Course Layout of Cameron East, which will be used for the LSDGA USDGC State Rep Qualifier.

Due to the vastly different makeup of the two teams rosters and the divisions their golfers play in, a standard Team format (such as Texas Teams) will not be used. The format will be a handicap system, based on PDGA ratings, such as the one Gary Duke devised last year for the TD Alliance Handicap Tourney, in Lewisville. This will allow all golfers from both teams to compete on a more even footing, i.e. FW1 vs. MPO and so on. This way, the golfers who shoot their rating or better, and play their best golf on that day, will have the best chance to triumph. Currently, there are a couple of golfers from both teams who have been shooting better than their existing ratings, so it sould be interesting.

We'll play 2 rounds in one day on this demading layout.

Although some of our Pros have requested some side action (which will be encouraged), the ultimate goal is to take possession of a lovely Trophy Cup. The cost of the cup will be split by the two teams and the losers will have to pay for having the winners names engraved upon it for posterity.

The dates are still be juggled to take advantage of the best chance to have all members present. In today's heavily scheduled DG tourney world, that ain't easy. I'll post a date when we have one that all can agree to.

There's one other thing that I would like to put out there to the TR Co-Captains. Our teams are different sizes as of right now (7 and 5). Will you be adding members soon? Should we try to get up to 8 each with honorary members to ensure foursomes with two members from each team on each card? How will the process be accomplished fairly if that's what we do, since we would only need one, while y'all would undoubtedly add 3 ringers?

The Rebullution may have begun, but Evolution is a steady and constant fact. Fear it!

In an alcohol fueled haze, at Texas State Am Doubles Championships, this man, with the encouragement of Soules, finally devised a way to try to get back at his State Champion and sponsored wife, Danielle. His plans included tasty iron on shirts and questionable smack talking skills that even Ryan Maiuro could defeat.

Jeff Ohnesorge - So-called Rebel
This self proclaimed Am For Life saw Team Rebelution as a good cover for the fact that his Am For Life status is Not By Choice. By attaching himself to this outfit, he has made a statement about his personality and his lack of game. A lot of people don't know this, but the truth is that Jeff has even asked me for putting lessons.

Ben Poole - So-called Rebel
A hanger on, this wannabe Pro player will eventually bring TR down to its knees. His well known habit of placing curses on other golfers, will eventually catch up to him in a Karmic way, dooming TR to its predestined fate of failure. Still, he's their only Pro, so they had to take what they could get.

Bobby Logan - So-called Rebel
This is a sad story indeed. I feel uncomfortable exposing the weaknesses of a friend, but if you lie down with Rebels, you wake up with a red neck. One of the only OMB's in Texas who is actually worse than me, Logan was added to the team to go head to head with yours truly. It was a bad management move by TR and I feel a bad career move for Logan. It hurts me to see him being used this way, but its nothing compared to the way I'll use him to shag my practice shots at World Doubles.

There you have it. Study hard. Know your enemy. Keep the faith. Truth and Evolution will prevail.

Why yes, Von, yes you did. That was my most unconcious putting performance ever. Now, anytime I get in the groove with the putter, I just imagine you standing behind me that day at Lago, knowing that I was gonna drain it.

�If� and �probably.� You�re killing me, Troy. At any rate, we have a State Champ for both your TBA Pro Master and your TBA Adv. Woman, so bring �em on. The semi-pro you already have and your TBA MPO will need a lot of luck just to hang with our two MPO�s, so you better make your Open ringer a good one. Our two MA1�s and our Honorary MA1 will have no problems dispatching that portion of your roster and, I OWN your MM1.

If I were you, I�d drop this silly notion of head-to-head and go with the offer of a handicap format that you previously agreed to. You�re gonna get smoked, otherwise. But hey, its your funeral. This should actually be a fairly close race...Lets see, the course has a lot to do with the outcome...I know Ben can shoot well out there, but Jeff rarely brings his game to Waco...Troy should play fairly well there, and Mark V., bagger that he is, will tear this course a new one...Bobby will exhaust himself just getting around the 18 holes, and Patty should play good also...On the other side we have El Chile�He will intimidate whomever he encounters�Kerr always plays well�He will have to in order to make up for Browers poor performance�Nelle will probably just out do Patty on this course, And My-Hero will have no problems taking it to Poole. Depending on the date, I'll volunteer my services as a Marshall to limit the bloodshed. Now, smack talk during the round would have to be mandatory for this type of event, unlike PDGA events were it would be a courtesy violation and subject to penalty strokes. :D What other rules would have to be modified for this event?

Wolf format would not allow for clean team separation.
You could play it in match format, but the course doesn't really set up for that well. Then again, maybe match play would be the way to play this course. Every drive and decision has added importance in match play.

You can try to shortcut the hole for a birdie, but you will be risking going OB. That's really the design idea behind this layout. The holes offer opportunities to be shortcut and shave strokes, but the shot has to be nearly perfect to avoid trouble. No TFA holes, No Ace/Birdie runs that go wrong but still don't hurt much. Anywhere there is significant reward, there is now significant risk.

Chimpyuns Cup, Gary? Well, since it will be owned by the primates, I guess that's not too bad. :)

Jeff-O, uh......whatever. Names? Scared? Contracts not yet signed? Do these people know they've been added yet? When they find out will they call their mommas to brag or run screaming to them to be held?

For example:

JM and JK's total vs. SF and BP's total.
58.........58 = 116 vs 58.......59= 117

If we cannot agree to the match-ups in the divisions that have more that one player, Pro and Adv. Then I say that we put the names in a hat and draw for match-ups. We can do this at World Dubs, if you are going to be there.

I also think that we need to set if we are playing match play, head to head, or come up with some other way to determine the winner, and I think that both teams should get a say so. I prefer Head to Head. I do not know how the rest of my team feels.

Team Rebelution is a united body, and everyone has a say so.

I will contact all of the SUPERSTARS of TEAM REBELUTION. And we will decide what we would like to do. Then the captains of both teams can get together and decide on how this will play out.

Here's my take. Total strokes is cool if that's the way y'all want to lose.

My point was, however, to see (prove) who has the strongest team (us). If our Pro's, our Master, our FW1 and our MA1's win sqeakers in 4 divisions, but in one division I blow sky high and add a bunch of strokes to our total pushing us over your stroke count, does that make you the strongest "TEAM?"

I don't need to look for a way for us to win. I already have it. I'll share it with you when we get to the course. What I'm looking for, and I hope you are as well, is a way to see who has the overall strongest team when all is said and done (us). That's why I liked John's total strokes per division and divsional points idea.

5 divisions and 2 rounds = 10 points. We can not allow for the possibility of a tie.

Unless the tie breaker is every player has to play holes 1,2 and 17. Of course the entire team must complete the hole before the tie can be broken.

why not have each player worth a point? 9 points per round. still a possibility of a tie but less likely.

I think that would put an emphasis on which players are better (which could be manipulated by matchups) instead of what team is better. Unless of course if the people in the same divisions shot the second round with the other opposing player of the same division. I think overall score would be better to show which TEAM is better. This way every shot counts.

Well, then make it 2 rounds of regular singles for everyone and take a total team score.

Match play and even divisional play would favor Team Ebolution, when, after about half way through the round, their spiral graph scores would overwhelm them into just giving up knowing the point(s) were lost already... we know how much Marka loves to get his entry fee to stroke ratio as high as possible.. take the Lake course for example...

After intense negotiations via telephone last night, puncuated of course by long pauses and periods wherein I would have to reiterate small words veeeeeeerrrrrryyyy sllllooooooowwwwwlllllyyy, the format and groupings for the 1st Champions Cup Challenge have been set.

Raw total strokes, making every shot on what should prove to be the most demanding course layout in Texas, will be used to determine the winner (us) between Team Evolution and Team Rebelution.

Here are your card groupings for your spectating and heckling pleasure, pending approval of name listing order by the TR leadership. We agreed on the divisional groupings, but the order is my own design and as such is subject to their approval.

The groupings look pretty good, but the event was misspelled.
It should be representative of both sides. CHIMP for team evolution and YUNS for team rebelution. Thus the Chimpyuns Cup. If you try to make it the Champions Cup, you may have to open the competition to other teams that want a piec of the action.

Who knows, as this concept of independent team building gains momentum in these parts, as opposed to the regional team concept of Texas Teams (which I still think is solid, and the way a State Team Champ should be chosen), maybe next year there will be more teams that want a shot at OUR cup.
