No aces

Jimmy and ? ( a new guy that had only been playing for 3 months) -8

Grunion and Shawn (The new guys son that had also been playing only 3 months) -6

I almost aced 2 and 3. We started on fire on hole 2. birdied 2, 3, 4, and 3'd hole 5.
We had two bogies that killed us. We also missed two 15' putts for bird that hurt us. I was feeling good and we had a great time.

I can definately do mondays easier than thurs. If its mondays I can run it , initially at least. We can do as always and take turns when needed. If singles we should do 2 divs. I do not think we will conflict with twin parks due to the distance!!

seewhere
Jul 06 2006, 12:57 PM
not sure I am just telling you what I am hearing from others who are there and others who are no longer showing up. I will see if I can find out what else maybe causing this. Still unclear why the payout was changed back top 1/3rd instead of 40% for all divisions. other than lala said she was tired of trying to figure out 40% payout but with a payout sheet not sure what is so HARD about it. all I can say is there will be multiple mini's on weds once Wilco goes in from what I am hearing

vinnie
Jul 06 2006, 04:35 PM
1/3 was voted on and I think you were there and voted yes on 1/3. I could be wrong.
And I hear there are minis at Wilco for Mondays and Fridays....which is great. But if someone is planning on running a mini at Wilco to combat the Rock mini....why would someone want to start trouble for the club? Why not just don't show up on the Rock Wednesday and go play Wilco on a Wednesday instead. But to draw people away is wrong. Kind of like the tournament schedule. We try not to play tournaments on top of each other. But there will always be immature people doing dumb things.
I still don't get where the payout is the problem......IT IS OPTIONAL!
Instead of just hearing complaints....why don't you rationally address the complaints?

WATCH OUT FOR CHIGGERS AT CAT HOLLOW. Although with the 50 or so that are on me, there may be none left to bother anyone else.

riverdog
Jul 21 2006, 12:23 PM
Subject line caught my eye due to my ongoing campaign against the little buggers. I have actually had better luck with citronella bug sprays fending off chiggers than with nastier DEET or the new Picaridin sprays. Just read the label for active ingredient. Also for yard treatment Bayer makes a product in granule form that does a good job of keeping them to a dull roar around the house. Active ingredient is imidacloprid in the Bayer product. Has to be Bayer label. They have the patent on the compound. BTW I hates chiggers.

Just to give everybody a heads up, there is a wasp's nest on the back of the bench on hole 12. I sat down and one of the little mofos stung me on my nose . Now both of my eyes and my nose are swollen. Somebody please kill those little pieces of crap.

Dish soap and water in a small squirt bottle. Kill the little beasties like nobodies business.

During the mini this week we noticed the basket for 13 has moved up to where the mound on the left was, and the tee box for 14 is about 40 feet closer to the basket. The lady that lives behind 13 had a little trouble with some teens on Monday and had to have the police come remove them.

Blair/Coop -15
Taz/Ricky -13

Heard they broke her window with a disc then threatened to shoot her or something crazy like that. Shows how the action of a few stupid #$*&$!es can affect us all. We talked to the homeowner and she was very nice and said that was the only touble she had had and most all the golfers she talked to were very nice except for this group of teenagers. Brushy Creek M.U.D. moved the basket to ensure it would not happen again. The course now plays even shorter. Looks like a redesign might be needed with Tx 10 coming in a week.

thought I would let someone else win for once. I guess the -17 albert and I shot will stand forever as the original course record since the format has changed

that's pretty tricky Ricky call me and tell me you are NOT playing so I won't come out and you have a better chance at cashing will need to remember that one.

Aug 23 2006, 12:24 PM
last week was really low! we were surprised cause the tourney was coming up, so we thouhgt it would be a bigger turn out, but it was small. It was about 105 degrees though, so that scared some away...

Thats what I'm talking about. Great job Rusty! Way to give to someone who really needs it (WWF) rather than blowing it on personal items or worse paying a bill. Thats why you have a full time job and your not counting on $$$ from golf. Again, great job Rusty on the donation. As for your ACE, how many tree's did it bounce off before going in???
