Efrain had a great idea- There will be an extra dollar from every entry that goes to the course. This money will be used to get lights for the backets and extra lights for the discs and so on. The first couple of weeks we won't have much, but it will continue to build.

Buy the LED's!!!! Totally worth the money. Last time we played, it felt like most of the time we were looking for the discs with the glow sticks on them. I have used mine on 3 separate occasions now and still bright as ever! I dont think I am going to make it tonight. Gotta keep my eye on Natty!

some things to consider!! entry , ace pot , etc. should we do 6 dollar entry (1 dollar to course,5 to payout).do we want to ctp ace pot or progressive ace pot.also if we do progressive ace pot we can make it between 2 and 4 dollars.for ctp ace pot 4 dollars in order 2 make it an even 10 entry????????????????????????????????????????

I am down for whatever amount on the ace pot, but I do think it should be progressive...Lots of ace oppertunity on that course, and a night ace would be SWEET! much cooler to have an occasional night ace then a ctp...

#5 play from tee box to #11 basket.
New box near #11 basket to # 5 basket.
# 6 normal.
Walk to #12 box, play rest of course normal.

Both courses look good I vote we try the 20 hole layout first. It's more holes and on the shorter side. Only have to light up 10 baskets :cool: I picked up flasher to try out on a basket. It says its visible up to 2500' We will see

I am a self admitted wussy when it comes to cold weather. It is kind of a joke around here. Anything below 50, and forget it! The course is in great shape, fills with water when it rains, but drains out in a day if not hours.

I've been playing out there on Thursdays,during the day and one thing I've noticed is the TRASH.

I had picked up all the garbage at hole #2's tee box and hauled it off to the trash can at hole #3 (there's a can at every other hole, how can people not carry their garbage ONE hole?) and yesterday I see cans already collecting on the ground at hole #2. I need to remember to bring a trash bag out to haul off all the garbage at holes #11 and #13.

I'm all for a few CFO's while playing Disc Golf (see my player rating for confirmation) but can't we all help out with the refuse? I know alot of trash washes thru the creek, as the course is in a drainage field, but don't tell me it all pools up at the tee boxes.

Well I feel good getting that off my chest, next time I'll have to post about the broken branches as players "open up" some of the ceadar trees. :(

off 620 take a right on O'connor (heb) first stop sign take a right , about a 1/4 mile down on right is the course.Go to page 1 of this thread for a map of the course.If you want a score card and map go 1 street down from o'conner take a right , there is a community center on the right ,about a half mile down.they will give you as many as you want!!!

No really, Rivery is on the west side of IH 35 and north of Highway 29 going to Burnet. This is in Georgetown and off the map provided. Exit 261A I think. Much easier to get to than Cat Hollow or Live Oak. :p You used to be able to park on either side of the interstate and get to the park, but the locals might know the proper parking place at the moment.

Since they built the new Wendy's, I always drive past the park (You will see it as you cross the san gab river) and make a U -turn and park there (at the wendy's). Walk down the hill and 2's tee box is on the right. Its easier to play 2 and then play one. The course plays smoother this way with less walking.

Nelle, I would say that the rivery is about 4 miles north of the top I-35 marker on the map. Just out of sight.

Shot 18 holes in 30 minutes and finished -1 with 5 minutes of daylight left. Speed golf??? I'd have to say yes.

A great place to go for maps to the course, maps of the course, pictures, etc... is the cental tx dg site run by Joel Sims. You can go to the Waterloo site (www.austindiscgolf.org), then go to links and there it is. This is a wonderful site with tons of info about all the courses in central texas.

I picked up some blinking lights for you cat hollow folks.
I have over 100 lights that have clips on the back. When activaited they blink red. I will get them to whom ever wants to hold them until the night golf thing comes back.
Let me know who.

how big and bright are they??

size like a silver dollar and very bright
most have a green cover, but some are purple.

Yo E. I think it was more like 35 minutes. I aint lying. I was on hole 9 and was still on my first beer. I had no others on my card and was speeding through just trying to beat the darkness. I played through 3 separate newbie cards. They were tripping when I would run up and park it. I have no idea how I pulled it off but I did. As much as I ran at the basket I just could not get an ace. Closest was 18, over the basket by about a foot. Then there was hole 9, missed the tomahawk by about a foot and a half. Hole 10's drive was pin high but about 100' to the left. Chunked the aviar with some force cause I was kinda ****** and it went in picture perfect. "CHANG" One card looked back as I was jumping around like a dork .
:p It was good to get back to the kitty. She is a great park!

If that Mike guys job schedule does not conflict with the scheduled mini then I would say he could do it. :DTime will tell. Either way there will definately be a mini. Now who will see V-man next to get those lights? Yo Salazar, dont you have plenty of storage space?

The TWC is comin to town and I am sure the cat box will be in great shape for the April 2/3 weekend....RIGHT GUYS?

I was at the kitty yesterday and they have been cleaning more of the brush out. I could not believe how open it is getting out there. Now if we could just convince people not to leave there trash at certain holes, that would be great. Maybe signs? I will brainstorm. I meen after all, why not walk to the next hole and put it in the garbage can? I think the branch hanging down on hole 5's Tee box needs to come down. That thing was brushing my hair while I was driving. The newbs will either rip it down or we can manicure it properly. Maybe I can get some scrap wood form the depot and make some benches. I will see what I can do. All in all, the park looked awesome and I cant wait to go back tonight.

vinnie , have you talked to the hoa,mud or whatever they call themselves about the TWC.I am just curious about how they might help!! they seem to be very receptive to publicity about their course. they could possibly be a great resource for this event!! i could store the lights if needed! I will definately be active in the kitty mini as i was last season!! i probably played in at least 80% of them last year!!

I need the people who call it home to make it all it can be.

I agree. Lets get together and just let the gals reap the benefits without all the labor. They have been working enough, just to put up with our ugly mugs. I will be doing what I can to support this awesome event. We need lumber for benches. I have a circular saw and a drill for cutting and assembleing.
