Does anyone happen to have any of the early run JK Pro Valkyries? I think they ran only in white, and where a translucent, milky, semi-transparent, and pearly looking, slightly grippy plastic.

They were more stable than other valks, but also very flat and very fast.

I'd love to get my hands on 2 or 3 of them right around 170-172.

I've got squat to trade (I throw all my discs), but I'd buy.

daniel there were some orange JK Pro Valks made, i don't know how different they are from the milky whites. i have a slightly beat up white JK pro line with a red stamp 174 grams. make offer, i have someone wanting to trade me about $20 worth of beasts for it at the moment. if you are interested in the orange JK's i know where to find at least 2.

I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to cut in on someone else's trade.
I also appreciate the info on the oranges; I had heard the same from another source, but have yet to see them for myself. If you can get your hands on an orage one just to look at it, I'd really like to know how the orange compares to the whites: that milky white plastic had some very unique characteristics - the flight plate was sooo flat, and though it was grippy and flexible and broke in very quickly, they actually were quite durable after break-in.

Have already been contacted about some 10x Rocs - hopefully will be able to cut a deal over them; it's my favorite mid-to-longish, and I'd like to have backups for the two I've already got.

Daniel, I have early run opaque JK Valks in orange, white, and tye-dye. They're all similar in grippiness and flexibility. The orange are slightly less stable than the white, but still more stable than the newer runs. The tye-dyes are flat as a board and second run CE stable.

By Big Bird Rocs, what exactly does it look like? Is it the disc with the discovering the world stamp.

I have two 10x 179 gram Rocs. Brand New. What are they worth to you if your interested.

Looking to sell two CE rocs. One is a 2002 that has been marked with my name and pdga number and has been thrown under ten times. It is 179 grams. Has not had any significant tree contact. I would consider this disc a 6/7 out of 10. It is in perfect Roc throwing shape. The other is a 2003 with the Zonedriven stamp (marked with name, pdga number, email). The weight is 174-176 (don't have a scale and the writing has rubbed off from spinning the disc on my finger). This disc has also been thrown under ten times and has never made tree contact (thrown in open field). I would consider this to be a 8 out of 10. These discs are not mint collectables. Hoping to find someone who is interested in throwing them. Looking for cash, but would consider trades. Please contact me at

Big Bird is a stock stamp for SM's, O's and early RC's. Late Rancho's have small bird.

Now we also have a small bird flying left ( symetricly opposite of first small bird )

Here's a note for Roc Lovers; A Roc (roque) is mythologicaly large enough to pic up an elephant.

I have a friend looking for an early frisbee called a Mystery Y or something like that. Has anyone heard of it?

mystery Y is the Brand X discs made in the early 80's, the answer to whamo and discrafts 40-100 molds. good for ultimate and freestyle, you can get more information about them in victor malafronte's book on frisbees.

The Mystery Y is a very old frisbee, made in the late 50's or early 60's. Your friend has good taste, but better have some fat jack to pick one up. A beat up one will go for over $100. A Mint still in the box set didn't meet the reserve price on Ebay last weekend, and the top bid was over $1350. Only a few are sold each year on Ebay, less than 1/2 dozen. I believe the mystery is the Y on the shirt of one of the guys pictured tossing frisbee's on the top of the flight plate. I'd like one also.

Your friend can find all the info he can in Victor's book. It's the best book available for old frisbee's. There will be a new book out soon for disc golf discs. Hopefully like a Beckett for disc golf.
