I'm sorry, but that (http://photos.imageevent.com/skylandsdiscgolf/2006/junk/websize/mohawks.JPG) is just hilarious! I have to say that I think you have Derek beat.
I saw 2 pair of sandals there when I left. I think they were next to a Skylanders tent. I'll ask around if they weren't turned in.
Thanks Sharky! It was great spending some quelfity time with ya!

Geez. What. Matt. Said.
Marshall Street is where I go to play a casual round of golf on a Friday afternoon. I'm lucky. My favorite part about disc golf (aside from watching them fly) is the gathering of old friends, and it's quite rewarding to see more and more of them at each passing MSDGC. Next year I'm going to make a week of it and follow it up with a trip to West Virginia. Good idea?

Want to relive every painful (or good) memory from out on the course? Wanna see what the big boys got on the airplane hole? Click any player to view their hole by hole scores from each round, and see how what that player shot compares to the division's average on that hole.
More stats coming soon (# aces, deuces, 3's, 4's, 5's, 6+'s per hole per course, etc) but this is what's just gone up and figured I'd let everyone take a peek

For this scoring info to be useful for determining whether a hole spreads the scores well for the particular skill level a hole is designed for, the number distribution needs to be adjusted based on the player rating average of the players' scores being used. We have a tool to do this for members of the course design group but I think Enman and Gordy are the only New England members that would have it.

In case anyone missed it, observe that Steve Brinster scored a three on 820-foot 11th hole of the Maple Hill Airplanes layout on Sunday afternoon in the pouring rain. While it's mostly downhill and open, the last 100 feet or so to the polehole is in the woods and well protected.

We will have hole distributions up for the whole of each division as well as the top 50 Pro Open finishers. The average rating of the top 50 Pro Open players is about 980.
Then we'll know which holes need to be tweaked - as opposed to Brinster just telling us that Airplanes 11 is an easy 3 (in 56 degree rain!) and needs to be lengthened! :D

Bleach on the Tee pads? Just regular bleach from the bottle? I've never heard of that. But then again, we don't get but around 20 inches of rain a year.
Green and black Crocs, huh, Yup, I've been wearing them. My new favorite shoes. Feels like a foot massage all day long. Shirts shorts and little pieces of pride abound. The only way anyone's getting anything back is to order something from Marshall Street, and give us a list of stuff you forgot. We're not a bunch of chumps you know.
And if we catch the moron who lit off the bottlerocket Saturday night we're going to sever his little head like a small piece of cordwood. Who was it and where's the chainsaw?

Southwicky - those are my sandals. I'll send you a pic of the bag soon, and I'll order up some goodies from you at some point. The Croc-sandals will be yours until I get them back and you properly disinfect them. :)
And yes, I was the other 3 on 11 Airplanes (there were only three) I also hit a 3 on Airplanes (nearly a deuce) It makes me feel less idiodic for playing like a mullet the other 70 holes.
The PDGA doesn't have it quite right yet either since they also sort on Current Total, not Over/Under par in their live scoring. Maybe the PDGA and MSDGC can get there by 2007?
There you go Chuck. Want to be on staff? Or one of the grandmaster spots (you that old yet?) You could make a week of it by visiting your buddy Dr. Doug in Maine. Check out Sabattus while you're there.

chuck, dont worry. I'll be massaging the data thoroughly in order for jason and steve to use the data "usefully" for tweaking the courses where they made need adjusting. (especially holes that get deuced 100 times with 144 players, or holes that are almost entirely 3'd, with few deviations for deuces or bogeys). What I'm putting on the website is for the players themselves, or other interested parties, to take a quick glance at the data dumps.
speaking of which, if people would like to view the hole by hole statistics now (yes, this includes ALL players in the tournament regardless of division, rating, race gender or creed :)) go check out the msdgc website again. http://www.msdgc.com/msdgclive/2006/www/index_live.asp Each layout's data is up there - altho especially in the cases of Pyramids silver/MH Airplanes, the data needs to be taken with a chunk of salt given the changing weather conditions on sunday.

steve did they find my red Sirius Orion LF first run on hole 14?
We'll get everybody eventually. It's too much to thank the whole staff indivudally all at once.
I just want to mention three people, in non-linear fashion, for outstanding work at the 2006 MSDGC. Jeff LaGrassa, Dave McHale and Andrew Sweeton. The three of you were totally there for the whole thing, like it was part of you, like your rock-solid commitment to our cause guaranteed we could not fail at least in those respects that you had anything to do with.
Someone said -- I think it was Vinny -- Jeff LaGrassa is nothing like I thought he would be. I'd thought he was a total dick.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Surprise.
Jeff brought his experience and commitment to Marshall Street and helped us out big time. It was always a goal to have live scoring beyond the 15th hole last round and to have individual hole scores for every player in the tournament on the Internet
Dave McHale wrote the programming for the whole thing, working with Steve Daaaaaaaadge. Unbelievable.
Andrew Sweeton. Can you ask for a more helpful staff member?. Uh, no. Multi-extraordinarily talented, and so positive the whole time, while getting hard computer data entry and phone-in scoring jobs done. Man. And the bellow of "Two Minutes."
We want all three of you back. Name your price.

Why is it only the top 50 open players? Surely the other 40 or so couldn't have been that hard to tally. Or were there some seriously big scores?
Some of the other cards were apparently confused about which hole they started on and which hole they should start keeping score on so we've got some screwy data. Keeping it to the top 50 incorporates (basically) the money winners and it gets rid of the screwy data. (although I think the rain made the round 4 (airplanes course) a bit screwy anyway).
For example, last year there was a good mix of 3s and 4s on 17. And this year, over 70% 4s.
