I am all for it, for the simple fact that I threw a roller one time, it rolled up the base of a tree and got caught 7 feet up.

Glad to hear thaTT Brian. Dave Greenwell embraced the elimination of the 2 meter rule at a tourney he ran last fall too.

The argument that a tree hitting 50 feet above the pin will now be rewarded is ridiculous. 1 in 100 might get rewarded. Most will be deflected away from the pin. Anyone with a game that relies on being able to throw 50 feet off course from the pin is going to have a very poor score even if they occasionally do get 'rewarded.' :D

i threw a tunnel thumber ,hit the ground, rainbowed over the basket and stuck in a bush about 8 ft . off the surface. circle 3!!

the 2 meter rule may not mean much up north. But here in Texas most of our trees are very easy to throw over. Most of our courses have baskets in the shade of trees. So instead of throwing the designed fairway to the hole. Someone can throw over the tree....we have to have the factor of OB in a tree to detour the over the top shot.

I like the two meter rule even though on my home course sometimes it means that I have to take a stroke and then jump into/under trees (they are built like bushes though) that have spikes coming out of their braches that are the size of syringes. Adds to the fun though. Sometimes it's like a two stroke penalty unless your not afraid to get ripped up a little (I should know not to throw in these things anyways).

Just a little math. Schweb has made roughly 750 posts in about 2 weeks. So at this pace Schwebby would be posting at a pace of 1500 a month and would destroy the post count record by May. By the end of the year he would be well into the 5 digit club and be the exclusive member. Is there any mortal that can keep up with this madness?
