Mr. Schwebby, I see on your team page on Innova's site that you carry and throw Rocs and Sharks. Why do you carry both of these midrange molds? What are the flight differences?
I've started throwing the Shark, and Discmania MD1 (I like the MD1 D a lot), and I was wondering what kinds of shots you prefer the Shark over the Roc on.

That needs to be updated, but I still do throw both molds and I have been working with the MD1 as well. I use the Champ and Star Shark for Overstable Midrange shots. I use Rocs for straight to slight turnover shots. I use DX Sharks for severe left to right shots and also mid range rollers.

I did not throw Sharks for a long time cause of the similarity of the 2 molds. But it takes so long to beat in a Rancho Roc that I needed something that would get to the good turnover stage faster, The Shark was the answer.

Barry Schultz throws Sharks as well. Ith ink they are mostly older ones though.

Schwebby, have you been throwing the Star Eagle-X? Any words on flight? What kinds of shots do you like it for? I want to try it out, but wasn't sure if it was too similar to a Star Teebird to bother.

I like the S.E.X., I use it for 375-400 ft flat hyzer shots. Very predictable.

This is what I've been thinking too. Thanks for the reply. I'm really liking the MD1 D. This "D" plastic feels better to me than then new grippy DX (too soft!). This disc has a really nice flight. I think I might be adding a couple MD1's to my bag instead of the Shark (just because I don't have any), mostly because I like the D plastic ... this stuff is really durable! I absolutely nailed a few trees, at high speed near the end of the flight last weekend with the MD1 D, and the disc didn't have a mark or ding in it. Sweet stuff.

No prob, I use Champ and Star Orcs for distance, or Star T-Rex if there is more than 5mph wind.
