Durham Disc Golf events as follows....

Monthlies - 3rd Saturday of each month (courses rotate). This Saturday at Valley Springs. 10 am tee time, 2 rounds played

Weekly random doubles - 6 pm start time
Tuesday nights at Cornwallis
Thursday nights at Valley Springs

Also, Wednesday May 24th is Piedmont Random Doubles Tour at Valley Springs.

If you haven�t already cast your PDGA ballot I am now running for NC State Coordinator.

I just found out that since Hall of Famer Alan Beaver is planning on moving to Chapin SC he has decided not to run for State Coordinator this year.

I had not planned to run unless I was sure that Alan was moving.

Durham County is kicking in some $21,000 to help build a flying disc golf course in southwest Durham County. The Open Space and Trails Commission grant will pay for half of the course in Leigh Farm Park. The other half will come from the Durham Orange Recreational Disc Golf Association. Leigh Farm Park is between Interstate 40 and New Hope Creek.

Right now the parks department for Steed Park is having issues with opening the gates early enough for those start times listed above. They don't seem to want to cooperate with us. If the times listed above change I will do my best to let everyone know. Unfortunately the parks people won't let us know until friday.
