ok neways. I was playing the new holes across the street at haikey. the first hole requires a huge hyzer or a slight turnover and then finish hyzered, well, I tryed to pump one out there and turned it over a little. it went past the walkers path and into the woods. well I thought it was woods, its actually a little creek back there. My disc is sitting in the mud, but its a 15ft drop off to the mud and it was getting dark. if anyone can return that disc to me, you will have much respect and ill kick in 5 bux or a disc in return. but I was really fond of that disc if someone could recover it. id be out there getting it, but im stuck at work. (you can clearly see it, walk over to the drop off past the path and then look left, it is EASILY visible echo green disc).

I saw your answer, I just don't agree with it. If the spot is for the best player in the state that weekend, and they are on the same layout at the same time, then they should have a shot at it. I guess the qualifier should be renamed the PUSDGC qualifier.
Joe, you know as well as I do that it will take a weekend of 1000 rated golf to win it. If an Am can put that up on the board, then he deserves a shot at it and he will probably turn pro after that. But he may want a shot at a world title first?
Does that sound familiar?

can't you keep your banter to one thread? silly Wise. How about this for a news flash, if an AM thinks he can win the spot, SACK IT UP AND SIGN IT UP AS OPEN FOR ONE TOURNAMENT. You will NOT lose your chance to play for an Am world title, you just turn down the cash. And trust me, wayne forest is all about hooking you up with plastic over cash if you do play up and cash.

Well, my odds are not very good at getting any of those sweeties, But I am super excited about the Classic! I've been playing the course a good amount the last week, and I'm really enjoying the new layout. At first I was a little sad that some of the holes changed, but, all in all I think the course flows very well and plays well.
Any idea on what the new 6 holes are going to look like? 6 birdies? 1/2 and 1/2? 6 pars?
Anyone wanna take guesses on the winning scores?

Sure did. Drove the 25 miles to get there. Signed up and waited. Threw the CTP throw off, draw for partners, then started on hole one. Suffered a sever injury during my drive on the first hole and had to withdraw.:(
So, lets ask you if you have supported any of his events. Wait, never mind. I can see for myself that you have "0"' of the 206 available chips.

Actually, what I heard when Marie and I got out there Friday night was that Julie wanted to go out to dinner and you told her you had to "run to the store" for something. Then when she didn't hear from you in a while she called you on hole # 1 and you had to leave to take her out to "din-din". What exactly do they call this "severe injury"? Did someone drop a "ball'n chain" on your foot?:D
So, lets ask you if you have supported any of his events. Wait, never mind. I can see for myself that you have "0"' of the 206 available chips.
Actually I believe the $900 he raised as stated above is going into the pro payout so in an indirect way, you're just supporting yourself albeit you still have to cash.:p
Way to support your Chandler Co-TD.:o
Actually I supported his event last Friday night with glow products and I'm giving up my weekend to volunteer at his tournament. Is that good enough for you.
It's hard to tell because Wayne doesn't post the scores very often but I wonder if you've ever actually "finished" one of these "Flight" deals.

They call it "GAS" Dave and it wouldn't be a problem if you didn't naturally retain it and hold it in like you do. Way to screw your "Flights" partner. Sounds like it wasn't the first time someone started with you and had to find another partner 2 or 3 holes in. It's a severe injury yet you're miraculously healed come Sunday at Haikey?[/:eek:

Hopefully whatever the new holes are, none of them are at a distance that includes a back up on the hole. I have seen great holes ruined (most of them long holes) by 10-45 minute waits on the Tee. This proably sounds like cry from a short arm but with a 24 hole round (48 on Saturday) back ups cannot be a part of the day.

Jun 08 2010, 05:37 PM
Kyle, the thing that I have seen happen on holes like that are players waiting entirely too long to tee off after the last group. Hole 17 is a good example, you will see players waiting at the tee box, with the previous group all the way down by the big trees and they wait until they get to the basket to throw. While I know some players can throw that far, it is only a few that need to wait. An experienced spotter would work well on those to keep them moving.

Without volunteers, "those that play" would have to fend for themselves and this event would not exist. This is not like the little Centennial Cup MINI you ran last month where you needed 5 or more volunteers to help you with 45 or so people on a one day. This is the "REAL DEAL" ran by a TD with a proven track record over the years.:D
Admit it, everytime I speak the truth all you do is try and redirect to cover your own butt. Dorries is a better "Rep" than you and I don't think he ever cheated on the "Flights" deal like you did.:p

You need to quit strictly being a sideline observer/comentator and get in the game once and a while. Well I have a lot of theories about it but the #1 theory I can think of in your case is that it all stems from your childhood and the mystery surrounding who your father was.
Now granted the age difference between you and Daryl would not allow him to be a candidate but I think in your case it is like youre having a bad dream and you wake up to find yourself being spanked. The light is dim and you rub your eyes to see and say,.Pa?.....Is that you Pa????.
Then, after it's over, you look up at him with admiring eyes and say, "I'm going to be like you dad,...you know I'm going to be like you.":)

Ok, after a miss-guided tunneling attempt ending up at a local Taco Bell, I have successfully engineered and tunneled into Wayne’s garage and photographed the secret hole locations of temp holes A-F.
http://www.klsecurity.com/fireking_safe/DS1817_data_safe.jpg
That’s right, the vault has been cracked and I am now in possession of the top secret “eyes only” info that could give you an early edge and put you in the winners circle this weekend and it is available for a modest price. I’ve already hooked up Daryl Johnson so if anyone else needs this info then please let me know.
Gary Nail and I will also be placing the temp hole baskets as well and we both have agreed that we are open to bribes because Wayne will never know.
Also, those of you in the running for the “Flights” random drawing? You will be glad to know that your odds at winning have just increased because I have managed to get into the bag of poker chips and remove every one with Twoputt’s name on it.
Some might think that is a dishonest thing to do but he has been found guilty of skullduggery in the “Flights” deal and if the law won’t do anything about it then it’s time for vigilante justice. This is just more evidence that as one of your TDSA Admins and course TD's,....I'm looking out for you. Those of you that actually finished those “Flights” rounds can thank me later.:)

yeah, i went 4/4/4 on "the A hole" and felt like i destroyed it. that hole was rough, took 2 great drives for 3, by the second round i figured out its big hyzer, then big S, but it still took a decent up and a good putt, as i kept hitting the big back trees with the hyzer, being scared to put it over the road. i felt i could have got it in three but it didnt happen and i still felt great bout 4/4/4:P for sure par 4 on that monster.

Thanks Wayne and all of the staff for a great weekend of golf. Gotta love those tee times on Sunday. It allows everyone to see golf other than just around their card.
Huge thanks to Paul Dorries and James Patton for their sponsorship this weekend.
I do gotta give props to Paul for that last round. Had he shot like that any of the other two rounds, I may have walked out of there minus cash instead of plus. Good shooting Paul. Looks like we had the line pretty close on that one.
Paul, you may want to move my status with you from an asset to a liability.:D

Duff owed me $9 so I only lost $1 betting against you buddy. I won that back though sponsoring Billy Lund so I came out ahead for the weekend.
You should be ashamed though for taking Dorries rent money.

Had I prompted the bet, I might be a little ashamed. As it is........
I have no shame in taking it. Did I get lucky? maybe
In competition, all winning bets need some luck.

Actually, I don't think luck had anything to do with it. More of a mis-calc on his accounting. You were going to have non-pressure rounds with a bunch of old guys who have real jobs while he had to deal with the pressure of trying to EARN that USDGC spot, and starving young guys who are probably struggling to make ends meet working at Burger King.
On top of that, you had a caddie the whole weekend.
Remember what you said about when your son's soccer team has to play a girls team???:p
That's more or less the case here.
I'm surprised you weren't parked in the handicapped spot all weekend.

His bet, his odds, he had control of his results. I think he even saw the advantage of the caddy. He had one for the last day.
But so you know, I did buy his crew lunch on Sunday and I paid my caddie well for his services. My caddie probably made more $$ than most of the cashing players. I'll also admit I couldn't have done it without the caddie. That second round the first day was brutal.
After all of the bets were over, I'm sure he is more upset over missing the playoff for the USDGC spot by 1 stroke than he is losing the money to me.
Had he shot just 3 strokes better overall, he would have clipped me for $50 to $150 and I'd be sponsoring him to USDGC.
With payout, side bets and plastic sales, I took a lot of $$$ home and got a special blend orc and a real nice pro firebird from the raffell. You have to admit, it was a pretty good weekend for the old man.

Hey, he and his crew were standing there ordering and I said I would get it. Not becaused I owed him, not because I was gloating. It was because I like Paul, he played well, I got lucky. I'm not about to brag I beat him. I will brag I won the bet. They are not they same thing.;)
Told her all of it. I think you might even be suprised of how much I walked out of there with.
Would I bet him again? Maybe. Would he bet me again? Probably but for sure with an odds adjustment. Not sure if I'd take the bet though.
Now we'll just have to wait and see who the next hard dik is that wants to try and take my money.:D There have been many, few have suceeded.:p
Oh how I would hate losing to me.:D

I'm sure Josh will tell us his thoughts on the playoff and his shot choice. Several of us were amazed he tried the go for the win with a 2, with a roller on hole 1. We thought he could get Sammy on one of the longer holes, like 4 or 5. I hated to see it end like that but we all make shot choices, right or wrong. Not saying his was the wrong one, it just didn't work out that time. Had it worked, he'd been a hero for going for it.
I did just the opposite. Had just caught Darrell and instead of nutting up like Josh, I played safe ind it still cost me. Wish I had just gone for it.
I have to give it up to Josh for going for it. That took a lot of balls. Sorry it didn't work out for him.

I was told of a situation that came up on one of the Pro Master cards.
It comes dow to the thickness when compressed.
Here is the answer:
2006.15 : Kneeling on a towel
Question -
A players shot lands in a spot that has very hard, rocky ground. Can she place a towel or pad down in order to prevent abrasions to her body (or to keep her knee/clothes clean and/or dry)?
Important Note (4/15/08): Previously we had ruled that this was not permitted. This opinion reverses that ruling.
Response
Applicable Rules: 802.04 Artificial Devices, 803.05 (Obstacles and Relief) C, 803.04 (Stance, Subsequent to Teeing Off) A.1
802.04 allows the use of items that reduce or control abrasion. Towels or pads may fulfill this purpose. Assuming that the unsafe items on the playing surface are not subject to removal or relief under PDGA rule 803.05.C (which covers relief from obstacles to one's stance), she is allowed to place a towel or small pad under any body part, with the exception of her feet (which should already be covered by protective devices such as shoes).
Note: She may move items under 803.05 C and also use a towel or small pad under her knee.
A "small pad" is defined as being 1 centimeter or less in thickness, when compressed.
Conclusion - One may use a towel or small pad (with a maximum compressed thickness of 1 centimeter) in order to prevent harm/abrasions to the body during competitive play. A towel or pad may be used under one's foot only on the tee box.

What does it say about bringing your dog on the course without a leash to use as a distraction?:D
twoputtok
Jun 14 2010, 03:28 PM
It would fall under Courtesy and subject to a stroke penealty everytime it occured after an official warning.
B. Players should take care not to produce
any distracting noises or any potential
visual distractions for other players who are
throwing
C. Refusal to perform an action expected by
the rules, such as assisting in the search for
a lost disc, moving discs or equipment, or
keeping score properly, etc., is a courtesy
violation.
G. A player violating a courtesy rule may
be warned by any affected player, even
if from another group, or by an official,
with all players of the group advised of the
warning. The player shall be assessed one
penalty throw for each subsequent courtesy
violation of any type in the same round.
Repeated violations of courtesy rules may
result in disqualification in accordance with
section 804.05.
This is also a county ordinance:
2. Fail to prevent any dog or cat owned, possessed, kept or harbored by him from running or being at large, whether such dog or cat is licensed or unlicensed; provided, however, that it shall be permissible for a dog to be led off the premises of its owner when under leash or obediently at heel; and provided further, that it shall be permissible for a police dog not to be under leash or obediently at heel while being utilized as a police dog in the performance of police duties and when accompanied by a police officer;

This one was easy:
(4) Activities which are in violation of the
law or park regulation or disc golf course
rule, including the illegal consumption of alcohol.
C. A player in violation of any section under 804.05 A is also subject to suspension from the PDGA Tour.
Suspension from the PDGA Tour may only be assigned by the PDGA Commissioner. A player may appeal his
or her suspension to the PDGA Board of Directors. The determination to suspend, and the length of the suspension, shall be based on the severity of the action and the extent to which the player may have committed repeated violations
