A true city championship should be spread out over the year. Play events up until the picnic and crown your champion there.

Not a bad idea there Gumby, only issue is scheduling gets really tight from May through August. We would have to carve out a weekend or two...

I think the individual course TD's should run a day at their course for the TDSA..

Is there any interest in making it a state championship? Or something like that?

Where we could possibly have add few events in OKC/Edmond. And see if Norman wants to get involved?

I would be willing to run one weekend in OKC, and Im sure if I talked to the club, they would lend a hand.

Just an idea, I know it has been the Tulsa City Championship. Im not trying to take anything away from Tulsa, just trying to expand it possibly.

Sanctioning, insurance and fees x 6. It was done that way before to give more players chances to get points to get to worlds that year, since they were in KC.

With no looming NT or worlds near by in the future, not much reason to sanction them.

Hey Slim, I have become really tired of Haikey in its current layout, is it going to change anytime soon?:D:D

saturday i am moving one tee-sign to a new home (8) and one basket about 20 feet from its current location (9).

if/when i get my sleeves in, i will be making other changes. until then, refer to your signature line and think of me and my yellow hair smiling back at you. :D

In the beginning (sounds biblical) the idea was to carry throughout the year However a majority of voices shouted that there would be too much variations of playing conditions and that the series should be conducted over the shortest time span. I am the guilty party that tried to get the series conducted at all the 18 hole courses in the area but that is by no means the rule just the way I did it.:D

A state championship series would be a fine idea but would require a lot of coordination between various groups and much haggling over how many events played in that would be required to qualify for the overall championship title.

I like the idea of using every course in town to crown a city champion. Copperhead might be an issue we would have to talk to Kyle. But why not use all of our courses.

Riverside/Reed (play Reed's 9 holes twice around)
Chandler
The Hawks
Haikey/Hunter
McClure/Dovillio
Copperhead (play 36)

Skip Reed, just make it one 36 hole round at Chander. You might even get Haikey in twice, could be a different course by then, or a course with multiple pins.

Or instead of the State Championship alternating between Tulsa and Norman, we could do a 3 stop State Champ series:

Dolese
The Lodge
The Hawks

Wow that would be cool maybe even do the field events at the lodge stop because to the great open area and camping potential
