I am no principle.
I don't want my mini's to be a joke like Furdog's... :oOuch I know but it is true.
I want everyone to have fun, finish before dark, and not have to peel out. :D
So I called Devan, keep in mind I cannot and would not punish anyone, and asked him what the hold up was.
And he told me what he thought it was and I took it with a grain of salt just like I would have to with anyone else who was on the "Problem Card".

Dude???.....Thats not cool. :(.... I thought we agreed that it was not in the best interest of the club to trash each others mini and create a TD war? It doesnt reflect well on your Admin position either.
On top of that, you call it YOUR mini when in realty most of the time its a team TnT with your dad helping you.
I appreciate the time that you and others have stepped up to help me but most of the time Im there by myself. I dont advertise my minis as 6PM: Be On Time. As far as Im concerned for you and Wise's future reference, 6PM means Be in Line when I get there at 6PM. :p
And BTW, now that your Dad wants to know what everyone thinks about mulligans. Tell him that people at my minis like them as long as they are free!!!! :)
The rule is, if the numbers are low then you offer a free mulligan. If the number is 70 or more looking for an ace pot then you dont need to offer mulligans. Heres another thing you can do. Put up $100 out of your own pocket for an ace run while they are waiting for you to get the cards done. They dont seem to complain as much.

Mike, I was done belly aching after I left that night, but SOME people continue to bring it up. Personally I'm done with it. ;) I even told Andrew, just because I may have a problem with an individual at a mini doesn't mean I have a problem with the mini or how it is run.
I was just appeasing Furdog, so that I can avoid some huge conspiracy theory that he would have come up with and never let go of.
Shiet happens, people play slow and the ones behind them biatch, so be it. :p

Yeah your right, so be it...when a group is playing slow all you can do is hope they let you play through. I don't believe slow play should be an issue...it's golf, slow play is going to happen.
And I think Devan is getting too much grief over this, he threw some practice shots but not after every throw. Everybody throws a practice throw from time to time.

a few extra drives on longer holes that it is fun to rip drives on is okay. extra shots on EVERY hole, not okay (and definitely an advantage)
edit: also... furdog's minis are awesome and he even posted mini average scores... wow!! and not to mention he is hilarious and very comedic. chandler mini > dovillio mini (no offense to TNT but i figured i would offer some outside opinion)... and also not to mention Dollar ctp throws after the mini!!! yeah!

Extra shots on any hole is an advantage, maybe that is why he shot the hot round for the day.
Not only is it borderline cheating, it is a level of gamesmanship that is a disraction to others. It should not be allowed on any level...even a mini. ;)

Hey Cheech......Your method of discovery is "heresay"....
I don't see your name on this list even once so you must be talking out your sister Wise's butt. :p.....Surely there's a protology doctor out there that can use your services. What I have done is raise the bar. You might want to think about "reaching" and/or "passing" the bar without having to stand on someone elses shoulders or ride on someone elses coatails. Last time I was at your mini you were just the "Goffer".

Well with some of these guys it might have been better to drop out the high and low score because you'll find someone that shoots consistantly in the mid-low 50's and then all the sudden you'll see a big 65 in there which means there could have been some alcohal involved. :D
Then again, maybe it was just a windy day.

if yhe players will post their preference about the tdsa mini sceduled for oct 11 to be played there or played at the lodge in pawhuska i will consider moving the venue to the lodge.
this may give the taylors some opportunity to recieve some input on the alternate 18 holes.

that is the reason im putting this option out for the players.
if the players want to travel to the lodge then ill be glad to have the saturday tdsa mini at the lodge. the advertised mini is at dovilio . so if there are folks that want to play dovilio i have to maintain that schedule however i have the desire to move the sat mini to one of the other fantastic courses if at all possible and if there are players for a mini at the lodge. i will try and comunicate with some of the other board members and see what the policies of the club.

thanks to all the players that came out and battled the wind during the OU ----TEXAS game.
if sombody out there wants to create a poll (i dont know how to)
it would be nice to see the results of the question
WOULD YOU TRAVEL TO A REGULAR MINI AT PAWHUSKA?
I've talked to jim and he said he would love for the course to see more play. He also said there is not a set greens fee for play eccept for the large events that may include camping and such.
however we must recognize that this is a private facility that is maintained by private funds and labor. I believe that an offering to the taylors would not be rejected it made by each player.
Jims goal is to develope a regular clientel to the course that may do business with his upcomming resteraunt.

We had a big one tonight!! 40 players enjoying some great golf and fantastic weather.
Dovillio is mowed and looking good. We had two CTP's, one paid and one free.
Dan Bougher donated a towel attached to tag # 001 for the loser on the card. Basically the loser gets the tag and hold it until, well, he or she isn't a loser anymore..
Jeremy Taylor donated a couple of tee shirts and I actually remembered to bring one tonight!!

Well it could have been worst.
You could have had headline publicity for your new course in the Owasso paper (if they have one) like:
"Moody Disc golfers packing knives at new Centennial Disc Golf Course."
or
"Man bloodied in Knife fight at Centennial Disc Golf Course".
or
"Disc Golfer stabs himself over no beer policy at Cenntennial Park".
or
"Disc Golf brings knife wielding gang bangers to Owasso Park."
or
"Disc Golf Slasher stalks new Owasso Disc Golf Park".
None of it would have been good for public image.
I sure hope someone has cleaned up Opie's mess in the bathroom by now.

Well, I guess you're right. If you get enough people to turn on their car A/C and have them roll down their windows in the parking lot there should be a nice cold front going on by # 18's basket.
Last Thursday I posted a Hooter's Bikini Party going on at pool at Chandler and that seemed to entice some to show up.
Then again, mountain air is cooler also. :)
