Kelly,
You had a much heavier load than I did... :D
The Disc Golf Karma Gods have rewarded you for all you have done for this sport, and for all you did, and have done, for Nick, for me, for Boobs, and the many other lives you have touched. :)
Steve,
I want a mini!
You are now one of the only two Advanced Masters that can win the Doubles and Singles title this year. :cool:
Are you aware of the criteria, and reward, for completion of the "Ash Quad"? :D

LUND and HUTCH WIN!!! :eek: :o:eek:
They were my pick but I was kinda hoping the Hoveys could hang in there.
The real question is did Dee win here like 7th world title????? She is playing Mixed dubs with my dad in OK and unless they play Masters I feel the streak will come to an end. :D

Hey John, Great tournament. I'll be back to play your courses as often as possible.
I hate to bring this up now but what's the deal with teams that have people with ratings above the allowed in intermediate? It looks like it happened twice. Of course this IS because we missed the cut by one place. :mad:
Thanks again.
Someone was sandbagging in the Amatuer division?????
NO WAY! That never happens orrrrrr I mean every weekend.

I can't tell you a name without a PDGA number so I'm not going to point it out. I think that is for the tournament organizers to look into. Among the list of teams, one of the second named may be a brand new player but the only PDGA members with that last name all have advanced or pro ratings. That team made the finals also.
Great tournament, great time. I will be back next year with a decent forehand shot.

Next year may be a little soon to see the Whartons again -- you never know though. Our recovery time for a Texas trip averages about 4 years. Have to give 'em time to make more Shiners too.
The final 9 was fun -- if you'd a told me we'd go 3-2-5 on 16/17/18 in worst shot and still not gain on the leaders I'd a thought you were crazy -- but I guess it just worked out that way. Fascinating to see how close the old guys were -- 4 strokes to first one way and 2 strokes to $0 the other . . . sheesh.

A few thank you's and congrats from the Q's...
Thank you to Jerry Power. Don really enjoyed having you as a partner. I can't think of a better person to trust my husband with all weekend. Thank you to your family for allowing Don to sleep there all weekend and his use of the hot tub Friday night. I was watching the scores come in here all weekend, cheering for you two.
Although I was not there, I am sure from what I heard and read that it was as wonderful an event as John usually has. So, thanks to John Houck and all those that helped him this weekend. I could not have followed the scores if you had not been so diligent in posting them.
Congrats to all the winners.
It seems I know most of the 2nd place finishers better, so congrats to:
the Hoveys - must be interesting for a father to play with his teenage son. I'm suprised you both lived through that;
Pierce/Bowman - Paige is incredible, and Ginger one of the nicest disc golfers I know. Congrats;
Lee/Trujillo - Don told me about the "snake" in the ice cooler last night. You are a great guy Vincente. Congrats;

I see that the rapscallion team of Tasker Moreno still lives. Did they have to join the PDGA to play this thing? In other words, will they be able to post again? :D
Way to go Hoveys. I'm blaming the one stroke difference on the youngster. ;)

speaking of tasker/moreno, I think they've got the bug again, the two of them and DD, hartley, and I actually played another entire 18 holes (meadows) after the awards, 4 or 5 with sunlight and the rest under a pretty **** bright moon, talk about SICK but fun as hell. make's you feel like a teenager again. :p

Yea once Kelldog got fired up over the foot foul on the teebox that never existed, game was on. I saw him right after that happened and he looked like he was ready to kill something. No words just his facial expression.
Kelldog/Digger see you at worlds, and I real glad I do not have to play against Bill the GUN or Chris.
Big shout out the the staff, things rolled really smoothly over the whole weekend. Thank you!

Nice Surprise!
Got home from work yesterday and nestled in my mailbox was a manila envelope about disc sized - and I hadn't ordered any.
Opened it up and there was a beautiful white roc w/the 2006 World Doubles Logo and the "5th Place Advanced Masters" stamp w/our names on it!
Way cool and appreciated - the Circle R folks just Roc[k]!
Thanks again for a great time - and a great tournament!
