I need a dubs partner for adv on Friday

I'll team up with you. I have to warn you that I feel like I'm coming down with something and I've been playing like garbage lately. :) But getting onto "Team Pottymouth" would be worth gutting it out for.

Is there going to be Chick Doubles, too, so that Megan can play?I'd like for my daughter to be playing, too.

Great tournament, great field, great course. Not such great weather. The conditions were tough (very cold, wet, and often windy, slick t-boxes, etc.), but manageable. Didn't hear too much real complaining, and seemed that everybody I talked to was glad they showed up and glad they were playing.

Thanks to the Justices and Coffey's for letting their fellow campers (myself and the Readings, Nelle) join them around their campfire (really just a large kerosene heater beneath a tarp) on Saturday night and for sharing the awesome keg of Firehouse #4 from the Blanco brewery.

Also, so the first "Stroke + Distance" penalty for a loss disc assessed. Forget who it was, but someone from the men's Advanced Masters division, on Hole #16, first round on Saturday. Good and long drive that drifted off right and into the shule.

After much longer than 3 minutes, the thrower finally made the walk of shame (he kind of jogged, actually), and re-teed.

Sorry to have missed the end. After hearing how bad the roads were supposed to be between Austin and Dallas, I had to get out of town by noon to make sure I made it back to Dallas before darkness and colder temperatures created a real safety issue. It turns out the roads were pretty dry until somewhere between Hillsboro and Dallas where the freezing drizzle started.

Wish I could have stayed around, but the reports made it sound much riskier than it turned out to be, though just having the last 30 miles through Dallas with icy bridges at 9-10 PM would have risky enough.

Victoria is always a pleasure even with the weather. Great card mates. Good to see Rhett again, and play all three (well, 2 1/2) rounds on his card.

And everyone remember that even though the OB line is OB, the disc must be clearly and completely surrounded by OB before the disc is OB.

I don't think this rule is causing any confusion, I think the rumors and hearsay are causing the confusion.

803.09 Out Of Bounds
803.09 Out-of-Bounds

A. A disc shall be considered out-of-bounds only when it comes to rest and it is clearly and completely surrounded by the out-of-bounds area. A disc thrown in water shall be deemed to be at rest once it is floating or is moving only by the action of the water or the wind on the water. See section 803.03 F. The out-of-bounds line itself is considered out-of-bounds. In order to consider the disc as out-of-bounds, there must be reasonable evidence that the disc came to rest within the out-of-bounds area. In the absence of such evidence, the disc will be considered lost and the player will proceed according to rule 803.11B.

The bolded area answers the question.
The italics are new, it kind of seems out of context the way it's placed in the paragraph.

seewhere
Feb 19 2006, 11:06 PM
so with that said if the disc is touching the OB line on one side and the rest of the disc is OB than it would be considered OB.

gnduke
Feb 19 2006, 11:09 PM
If no part of the disc is touching inbound territory (and the line is no longer considered inbound teritiry), tehn the disc is OB.

If any part of the disc is inbounds, the disc is inbounds.

The status of the line itself is the only change.

I am glad I played and amazed that ya'll managed to move some holes between rounds. I was one of the few who camped and I'll be there next year. Tommy sign me up. 06 Vic Open, just a memory now, and a good one for me. I spent all weekend admiring from a nice warm truck. Me and Lala had a blast as usuall esp. Friday night around the heat, drinking my new favorite beer(JusticeAle). If there was ever a tourney to sit out of because of an injury this was it. Congrats no only to the winners but to everybody that finished this tourney. Round Rock's prescence was there we just came up a little short. Who trains for that weather? Thanks again RDGC for everything, the TD's of TWC also thank you for your kind donations from the raffle. I missed playing my top 5 courses this year, anything else coming up?

My back feels great, thanks to the warm bed on Sat night, should be up and playin again real soon.

and efrain is right, I asked a question, but I did not ask for your opinion of the matter, you answered the question I asked, now move on and be glad that we didn't play in our actual division.

The issue at hand is that the TD can not make a change of this magnitude after already telling the players different.
If it were up to me, I would disallow paying ams in cash for friday doubles regardless of sanctioning because I believe it promotes sandbagging, but that is not the issue here.
If you want me to stop ******** then you pay me the money that I feel owed, if not, then keep your opinions of me to yourself and don't broadcast them here.

Ya' done good Tommy. At least it didn't take you four months to post questionable scores. I am sure you will get it under control.

Just wanted to pass on a huge thanks to Tommy and crew on behalf of the EDGE program. Victoria Open donated $225 from their raffle to helping schools get disc golf into their schools and that's cool.

Great tournament, lots of fun. Especially throwing the Coyote on a huge floating anhyzer and watching it nessle under the pin only to look up and see a real Coyote watching through the fence not more than 150 feet away.

And an updated massive thanks to Jason Eakins of Victoria who won a SkillShot basket and donated it to EDGE. Please tell Jason he helped raise an additional $130. :D You da man!
