Next scheduled mini should be on May 4th. If anything changes I will post on this thread and let everyone know.

No Dovillio mini tonight. Head on over to McClure for "Late Night with Budweiser Dave"

Apr 27 2005, 03:44 PM
TEE IS AT 8:00 so dinner will be served around 7ish

We are not going to wait until dark due to that makes for VERY VERY long nights. So a few holes will be played with some sunlight. Sorry to all the traditionalist (I think I just made that word up) that enjoyed playing 18 holes in the dark, but most of us have to work and also we need to beat the 11:00 curfew. <EMBED src="http://www.dailywav.com/0600/dave1.wav" autostart="true" hidden="false" loop="false">

Hey there SUCKAS! :p

Come out and support Big Dave and the night golf. We will be having Burgers around 7ish. Golf will be at 8ish.

We are lagging behind on the contributions that MMFMM has donated to the Oklahoma Open, the reason for that is we haven't had a strong player base at the full moon minis. Everyone is getting to play in the Oklahoma Open this year so all of ewes that donate to the cause by playing in the MMFMM will see their returns at the OO.

At charge for those who never contribute and free of charge of those who do. I don't need to name names, but you know who is welcome and who are does not contribute they are *couGh coach *)

As always if you are going to [I'm a potty-mouth!] don't come out.

twoputtok
Jun 16 2005, 11:56 AM
Yes, someone threw a fit.

Two words............................................. Billy Swanson.

Its gotten to the point that there are several people that just plain refuse to play on his card. I have seen them go home because of it. We need to ultilize FurDogs idea. When someone (Billy S.) throws a fit and kicks his bag, run over and give it a good kick yourself. That will either stop it or the fight is on. :o

To all TD's out there, if Mr. Swanson shows up at the same nimi I am at, PLEASE put him on my card. It could be more fun that the golf itself. :D

Wow!...Why am I not surprised???...You didn't even have to mention his name. Just call it another BS Missed Field Goal Attempt. ....If I were to get upset I wouldn't kick my bag. I would kick Naegele or Bud because those guys are just plain bad luck ;)...but they're good friends and what are friends for if you can't kick their butts every once in a while....Even Twoputt will bend over for one every now and then. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif...

This BS Bag Abuse needs to stop and everyone including the TD's should partake in this intervention for the good of the sport and public image. Imagine the average mother with her children in the back seat, driving down Riverside, when all the sudden they look over and see BS Bag Kicking going on right there in a public park. :(...What a way to represent. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif...

I think my initial idea should be expanded to have the TD loan a bull horn or alert device to at least one of the other people on BS's card. That way when the bag kicking begins, someone can blow the horn and everyone from the surrounding holes can stop what they are doing, run over, and assist in the bag kicking frenzy!...I will personally go out and buy one for my own protection today but every TD should think about including one of these as part of their standard TD supplies.

STOP BAG ABUSE NOW!!!!

I know I am no saint and have had my moments, as recently as the Tornado, I hope I have gotten better about it. I try to just accept the game for what it is, a game. Some days just aren't meant to be golf days.
I know I can biatch but so can anyone on any given day. The problem with Billy is its happening everytime he plays and he wants to biatch to everyone about it, thus ruining their evening on the course. I even told him not long ago, "quit getting so upset, none of us are good enought to be that mad." I have also seen him latley get into it with a few different players that were on his card. If he decided he didn't like them, then the biatching between them would go on the whole round. I know this because I was in between it one round at Chandler. I told them both the shut the he11 up and I ignored them.

Now I want him on my card. Does anyone else want to join in on the fun. You know what they say, "you can always count on your friends when your down"...................you can count on them to break it off in you. :D

Breast fed babys tend to be more laid back and relaxed while a Non-breaster, having been denied the comfort and security of an extra boob, and forced to settle for an artificial device, tend to carry their resentment into their later lives which in turn can result in temper tantrums. :(

When the non-breaster has a bad shot or a series of bad shots , the memory of boob denial resurfaces resulting in increased stress and frustration which will ultimately be vented outward toward the nearest available object. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif... When the breaster makes a bad shot, they tend to relax and have a good time because they know there is always another boob on the next hole, and if theyre lucky, a nice pair waiting for them back in the clubhouse. (.)(.):cool::cool:

Mr. Swanson may be suffering from Infant Boob Denial Syndrome. Hes not alone. Ive seen it in all divisions but it tends to show up more on the leader cards. Do your part! Help keep Infant Boob Denial Syndrome off the DG course!!!:D

OK OK I won't kick the dog.And as for the Boob analogy,I like it!See no matter what happens on the course I know there's a couple nice ones at the house to comfort me.Maybe if this guy had a couple nice ones to rest his head on he wouldn't be so stressed.Poor Guy.Probably hasn't had a couple in years.Maybe he should start a 12 step program on the subject. And don't get offended 12 steppers,It's all in fun.LOBA.Lack Of Boobs Annomous.1st Step.Admitt your lacking in Boobs.2nd step,Come to believe that boobs can save your life,3rd step.Turn your life over to boobs to make it all better. You can find serenity in these simple suggestions,ALAS no more bag throwing and your fellow golfer can play in peace. Please Guy,Find a Boob and Hold on to it.It could save your life.

There is always that handfull that want to play instead of work. Once they figure out whats going on, they'll just go over to McCLure.

The other factor is that if we don't get to Dovillio now, then it will be pushed to the back burner and will be the last one we do because we will be focusing our efforts on Mohawk after this next work weekend.

I there,what time?,what's going to be done?,where at?

I can't make that call myself for Sunday.

I know what we will be doing on Saturday and you can bring what you think you have spoons shovels.

1. Yanking and removing baskets---think we have everything for this one covered.

2. Digging holes for the forms at teepads -- this will take the most time i think we need to dig 3 - 3 1/2 inches.

3. Cleaning up around the BOTTOM of trees.------
We do not want to take out any branches that are hanging yet. There is really only one I can think of, but i'm still thinking on that.

So bring out from what I can see are some shovels, loppers, and for some who don't know how to use shovels bring out a spoon.

Think most of the time will be spent digging for the forms to go in the ground.

Let me know if I missed anything.

twoputtok
Mar 14 2006, 10:43 AM
We also need all of the new distances for the new tee signs.
It will take a while to pull of the baskets, plant the new poles and then install the baskets the next day. Other crews can begin digging out the tee pads. Jerry Stacy will oversee that project.

If all of the work is completed at Dovillio on Saturday, (I doubt it, that is a lot of work), then go to Haikey on Sunday. Bring axes, hatchets and shovels. We need to go over the four holes in the woods and clean out all of the stumps and stobs that have been marked in orange paint.

We do not want anyone at Mohawk this weekend due to all of the supervisors for that course will be out of town. We will go back out to Mohawk on the 8th & 9th.

I will be out there around noon to see how the weather is like if it okay and not real messy i will be out clearing from under some trees and maybe planting some holes. We do not need to be digging unless the holes are snapped out.

If you happen to head up there you and no no one is there please feel free to call me or just leave.

Wise; what about the bobcat i"ll bet we could rough out 18 pads in no time with that.

twoputtok
Mar 20 2006, 03:24 PM
The bobcat is not a problem. The cost is $170 for 8 hours and a $15 trailer fee. We just have to schedule the day it is to be done, arrange for the bobcat and go to work. I'm sure we could knock it out in no time and have enough time left on it to maybe get it to Mohawk for the rest of the 8 hours meter time.

Tell the truth, you've never paid for anything that Daddy hasn't given you.

At least you have grown enough to admit that the only way you'll ever get any is to pay for it. and all these years your mother told you there would be someone special for you, its just sad that special for you is a crack Ho from OSU. :o

A standard response at best. Nothing special.

And Dave, don't be mad at me just because the last time you actually hooked up with a girl you took it to far and had to merry her! :oYou can thank your dad for taking that problem off my hands

Ahh, 18 years old...life is good. Even if you had a chance to hook up with any of the girls I know, your poor old carcass wouldn't even last 10 seconds. Quit comparing everyone's time to yours. Besides, at least I can safely say I've hooked up with woman.

(bends and stretches)Yup, all the joints feel good. Back, knees, shoulders. All ship shape. Yup, I may be getting older, so start showing respect to your DADDY!

Stick to Sweatin' with the Oldies Dave...wouldn't want you to hurt yourself But you said to stay away from your mom?:o :o:o

We will be working on these items tonight and Friday into Friday evening. We need to try and complete as much as possible before Saturday, so that we can concentrate effors back out at Mohawk and try to have concrete poured at Dovillio on Friday 31st. The plan for Mohawk this weekend, includes the installation of 9 new baskets, tee pad preparation and more cleaning of the fairways.
I know a lot of you had problems with posin Ivy out there before. If you are one of these people, please still come out, we have lots of work to be done out in the open part of the park.
All of those not going to Duncan, we reaaly need your help this weekend. The PDGA will arrive early next week for course reviews and we would like to have a lot more done before they arrive.

Thanks

Here is the current status of the work that has been done and still needs to be done.

After tonights crew finished at Dovillio, all of the tee pads have been dug out for concrete, we will set the forms tomorrow and touch them up as needed to get them level. All of the poles have been installed and half of the baskets have been assembled. We will finish the putting the rest of the baskets together tomorrow. We will still need some people with shovels to touch up the tees for forms.

Keep your fingers crossed, say a prayer, kiss a toad, what ever and hope that we can get this course poured next Friday. We will need at least 7-9 guys. I'm hoping our two concrete guys, Jerry Stacy and Steve King can make it or we will have to reschedule. We need to try and get this done so we can get the other 36 poured at Mohawk.

We will be at Mohawk Saturday and Sunday and Monday night and will have 18 baskets installed and some of the tee pads prepared for concrete. Kevin was at Mohawk tonight and said it s really coming together. I think that if we can get some people out there this weekend we can get a lot done before the PDGA comes in on Tuesday.

A big thanks to all of the volunteers that came out the last two evenings. I was amazed at how much was done in a short amount of time. Thanks to Devon and Justin they dug their butts off the last two days and if you see James Diel give him a big thank you for digging all week.

Come on out this weekend, we NEED the help.

Wanted to take time to thank all the folks that have been coming out after work. The youngsters for coming out on Spring Break and busting their humps and the old dudes for putting some young pups to shame. :D

Tonight we should have everything wrapped up almost to get ready for forms. We will be out there again this evenining like Dave said to touch up the pads and get ready for forms. We already have a couple monkeys to do the assembly work and probably someone there to "supervise" our work.

Another thing we could do tonight is clean up around the bottom of the trees, if the teepads are all squared

They majority of the non concrete work should be done by tonight. Or at least that is what I am aiming for. There should be nothing major after tonight besides pouring pads. The cleaning up of the trees can be done with a pair of loppers stuck in the bag while playing a round of DG if we do not get to it this evening.

The entrance to Mohawk is on 36th st North just east of Sheridan.

Coming in from Bartlesville, take 75 south then take 11 east, towards the airport. Exit on Sheridan and take a left. Sheridan dead ends into 36th st north. Just take a right and the entrance is on the left. From there just drive until you see everyones cars....

I hope this helps....

I have just ordered the concrete for Dovillio for this Staurday morning at 8:00am and another truck at 1:00pm. We will pour and finish all 18 on Saturday.

Steve King, Jerry Stacy will be heading up this project. We will try to have three crews with at least 3 men on each crew. I need some volunteers for this project. We will also need some security to keep little Jesse fingers away from the pads until they set.
If you have expierience with concret and can offer your help with this project, please give me a call. 918-232-8562

Lets get this course knocked out.!
