Steve King, Jerry Stacy will be heading up this project. We will try to have three crews with at least 3 men on each crew. I need some volunteers for this project. We will also need some security to keep little Jesse fingers away from the pads until they set.

No conflict. Both the Haikey Warm Up and the Dovillio tee pads will happen at the same time. Lots will play some will work for the day.

This will be something that starts to happen more often as we get closer to worlds. Its all good. ;)

The forms are set and ready for tomorrow. We do need to do some quick touch up on some of the pads. Bring shovels and rakes. We will try to be out ther by around 6:30am so that we can make sure everything is ready for the first truck at 8:00am.

If you would like to help, come out to Dovillio in the morning, if we have enough people, we will leave the real concrete guys there and head over to Mohawk. Kevin needs the holes dug for baskets on the red course. No poison ivy or ticks out there. Bring gloves, loppers, chain saws, any thing you have that can help knock this course out.

Well, it was a very long and productive day at Dovillio.We had all 18 pads poured by 12:30 and were done with all of them by 2:30.
I would like to thank all of the volunteers that came out to work all day long. I know there were 3 of us there by 6:30am and by 8:00am we were already well on our way pouring concrete. I will try to mention all that helped and if I missed you, please forgive me. If you were there, then I know you will understand.

Well I guess we didn't get any volunteers out there to watch the concrete. #1 had had dirt and rock dumped all over it and "TDSA 06" scratched into the pad. :mad:

#3 has had rock and dirt dumped all over it. #15, #16 and others have already had some #$*&amp;$! golfer on them. You can tell by the foot slide markes and their piviot foot.

We busted our collective tails out there all day, just to have some low life disc golfer out there to only screw things up, not help. :( :mad:

There were a couple of soldiers there til dusk.Thanks to Marq Lewis and Joyle Deering for watching over them for close to 4 hours or more.

It is just unfortunate that we didn't have 18 people dedicate an afternoon/early evening to volunteering. Apparently its easier to get volunteers to screw stuff up.

My hats off to those who love this sport enough to help take care of the courses and manage the head aches that most of us don't have to/but should want to in order to have quality golf in our area. :(

I am the other guy from fayetteville Barney Davis. I am glad those teepads cleaned off so well!! I played blackhawk and can now say that was the hardest course i have ever played! I loved it. Great work guys!

We poured Souix Passage in STL yesterday and even before we were done pouring we had to go and fix 4 pads. The jack #$*&$!es up here know that they DO NOT want to be caught, would not be a pretty sight. I am wore out today and getting ready to go and play a quick round just to loosen the body up.

That was good day yesterday.

We only have thirty six tees left...you ready!?

Thong, his borther and myself played Dovillio today and knocked all the forms lose. We will start removing them tomorrow evening. Then we could use some peole to back fill around the pads, clean up the dirt piles and move them to the holes in the fairway on 16, 18 & 14. Moving the dirt can be done any evening after work. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

In another few weeks we wil install the new tee signs and that course will be ready for Worlds.

Well I guess I was wrong about waiting until tomorrow to break the forms lose. I was at home when James Diel called and they had already pulled three of them, so with the loan of Dave Frazier's screw gun we went ahead and took out all 18 forms.

So for tomorrow evening, bring shovels. We just need to fill in around where the forms were and level out the dirt around the pads. Excess dirt will be moved to various holes around the course. If we can get 4-6 to guys, this task can be knocked out tomorrow and then we can have a nice relaxed happy hour for Thursday evening.

Please come help, clean up a pad, then throw to the next one and so forth until we finish them.

With Chandler this weekend work will be very limited and we only have 95 days left with a lot still to do at Mohawk, so lets finish Dovillio and move on. ;)

Is there any work going on this weekend or is everyone playing Chandler? The reason I ask is that I'm On-Call. I figure I could stop working somewhere if I had to, but I don't want to sign up for Chandler and have to quit the tourney.

Cris, I have had a couple of others saying they would rather work than play. Mohawk still needs some clearing around the greens. Most of what needs to be done can be done with a weed eater or preferrably a weed eater with a brush cutter attachment. We just need to clrear around the greens and the low stuff up both sides of some of the fairways. We also need to install some more poles on the Red course. Kevin can show where those are and maybe get them marked tonight or Friday. And as always there is still plenty of trash to pick up on some of the holes.

Dovillio needs some one with a truck that they can haul dirt in. The excess dirt from around the tees needs tro be moved into the holes on the fairway. Hole 18 has a larger area in the fairway tha can handle a lot of dirt. Hole 14 needs some, hole 11 could use some dirt. We just need to look around for where it can be used.

I will talk to some others tonight and post who is available to work and we can get some tasks laid out for you guys.
