Thanks for the "unofficial results" ;), and your help today Kevin...We tried setting up 6 holes at a time with a shotgun start, and it went OK (with the exeption of that one group that took longer to hole out than Michelle Wade and her cronies /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif) but we probably won't do it again.
The CTP winners:
Hole 1 Kevin Gomez-with a skip off the bathroom roof
Hole 2 Lino Camacho-Playing like an A player lately
Complete Results:
1. Patrick Gallaher/Alex Torriette -12
2. Dustin Pope/Ray McKillop -8 (Won CTP)
3. Trey McKelvey/Lino Camacho -8
4. Dave Vincent/The Kid -8
5. Kevin Gomez/Carlo Pelg -7
5. Chef Aaron/Daniel Lichtman -7
5. Michael Homan/Ben Kotnik -7
8. Tom Olson/Karl Huering -6
9. John B/Donny Olow -5
10. Glen Triemstra/Brian -4
11. Tony Barajas/Evan -1

Dave,
I just found out that I have a docotors appointment next Tuesday at 3:00 pm(something about a dislocated left shoulder and a pinched nerve). I need to drop off the 3 discs for CTP's next week. If you are going to be at one of the courses this Saturday, let me know and I will drop them off then. Or I could drop them off with someone else if you need me to.

Dave,
I gave the 3 discs to Kevin and he will bring them on Tuesday. I also gave him one of those Innova magnet bottlecap opener. If you use them this Tuesday for CTP's, use the 3 shortest holes!
Good luck everyone!

2005 Bayside Results **UPDATED 5/4/05** (http://www.roadtosanity.net/dgpics/bayside2005.xls)
Total Payout & Participation
We have had about $450 in payouts from four weeks.
Player total has reached almost a hundred, with 47 unique participants.
And a weekly average of 24 players.
Aces:
There has been one ace this year. Dave Vincent threw a thumber on hole 17 that bounced off the ground and into the basket. Unfortunately he cashed only $24 because it was the first week.
Ace Pot
$81 currently
CTP
There have been about $120 worth of CTP prizes given out. That is $30 a week! (if anyone has any new unthrown discs that they would like to donate for CTP prizes, let Dave or I know. If you donate a disc, you can pick the hole it is given away on!)
Course Record
The record from last year was broken this year by George Spracklen and Justin Fitzpatrick, it stands at -13.
Most Difficult Hole
Hole 4, which usually is only birdied by one group each week, and is boggied by 2 groups each week.
Easiest Hole
Hole 8, which is birdied about %50 of the time, with no boggies recorded this year.
Personal Averages:
George Spracklen: -7.33
Ryan Gwillim: -7
Trey McKelven: -7
Dave Vincent: -6.75
Kevin Gomez: -6.5
Tony Barajas: -4
Dan Lill: 3.66
Thanks
I'd like to thank everyone that helps with Bayside. First off, my partner, DirtyD, I appreciate all that you do! This wouldn't be happening without you. KevinG, always willing to move baskets, do scorecards, anything else, thanks for your willingness. Trey, for always coming up and thanking me, it keeps me going. And all the rest of the players for keeping such good attitudes and not questioning Dave's and my decisions.
Here's to Bayside, the best double's event in Southern California!

Money line against each other
Pat +120
Lino -110
To win it all
Pat <font color="red">7-1 </font> Always starts tournments strong but rarely (well never) has finished strong. ( <font color="blue"> ELDO </font> (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=4883#Intermediate), <font color="blue"> EIEIO </font> (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=4884#Intermediate)) HUGE arm is advantage.
Lino <font color="red">5-1 </font> Playing well and a lot in the local so cal tournments Always a top 10 finisher.
Chris Lingren <font color="red"> 3-2 </font> is the heavy favorite. The Kid has some game.
Daniel L <font color="red">3-1 </font> A strong 3rd place finish last year and will hang on in the INT til they kick him out when the new ratings come out. Watch out! home course is a big advantage but very streaky.
Lucas Humphrey <font color="red">3-1 </font> Highest rated INT player and home course. Watch out he has been playing well.

I can figure out handicaps and if we want to do a handicap based competition. That would be much easier for me as the TD, rather than splitting up divisions, cash, and such. I would be happy to establish handicaps. Maybe after two more weeks of doubles so I can get more numbers for people?
I don't really have any interest in running singles with split divisions and such though, too messy.

How is it extra work?...Why would you assume TD responsibilities?
It would be two divisions; A and B (NO HANDICAPS...they're ga)...I'll TD the singles format. Payout from A pool stays in A pool. Same for B pool. Anyone else interested, or are you all scared?

Just wondering if he is O.K.
After spending half the night in the ER. I eventually recieved an hour and a half worth of plastic surgery to put my ear back together. The doctor said she would do a good job, so I wouldn't lose my ing career. Scars add character. I have to swing back by the hospital now, to make sure everything is ok. I always knew disc golf was a dangerous sport. Hopefully I didn't use to many profane words or yell at anyone. See everyone on the course! If anyone sees Rich at the course tonight, tell him I am OK!

Glad you are OK Rich...You can name hole 18, since it owned you, I mean since you own it now ;)

That way I will have before and after photo's! If I would have know he had a camera phone I would have posed for him, so that he could get the best photo possible.

Talk about an elitist attitude.
Y'all need to kick Donny out of your club because he is the one who posted the directions, and as of 15 minutes ago his original post on the Sun Valley thread is the only one that still has directions to your little private club's park.
slo simply quoted Donny, and then slo edited his recent post and all his old posts to delete Donny's directions out of the quoted text.
So take it easy on slo.
You really ought to get your own private password protected message board so you can talk in secret about your little private course.
Oh, wait. Where's the fun in that? Why bother to create an exclusionary members-of-the-clique-only country club style environment if you can't rub the little people's noses in it? Right?
ANHYZER

Ummm. actually SLO re-posted the info twice yesterday after Donny did it a week or so ago...Donny was admonished, and vowed not to do it again. SLO is just trying to draw attention to himself.

<h2><center>Bayside 6/14 Was Great!</center></h2>
The layout was xtra long and tricky with a lot of risk/reward. For most it just turned out to be "risk" with very little "reward" as many teams took O.B. strokes on various holes.
The winning score was a measley -8 held by two teams. The CTP playoff shined Justin Kern and George Spracklen with the 1st place finish.
Second to them was Dave Beluna(sp?) and Mike Slonim, and rounding out the top three was Joe Graham and our very own Kevin Gomez.
Thanks to George for supplying the CTP prize. He donated one of his sweet wooden minis. Joe Graham was the winner of the CTP with his parkjob on hole 5. George is also planning on selling his handmade minis. Support local efforts and buy one off of him. I don't recall what price he was is selling them for, but I know they are much less than other handmade minis I have seen. See George for more details.

I just finished the preliminary sketch of the backwards layout for next tuesday. For anyone that doesn't know, the "backwards layout" is not the same holes played backwards, all the holes are new and we are going to be playing counter-clockwise around the pond, hence, "backwards". After work I am going to go down to the park and see if the layout works in the "real world" sense. If it is anything at all like my draft, the course is going to be EXTREMELY hard and quite long. I had to sacrifice a couple of my really long concept holes (over 500') in order to fit 18 holes in.
Anyhow, I don't want to hear any crap about the holes being unfair and favoring the "big arms". If you want to learn to throw far, ask Dave or George to teach you, otherwise suck it up wussies! Just kidding, but seriously, it it going to be a hard course, and if you are intending on shooting -10 then maybe you should go play at morley and save yourself some frustration. Hopefully everyone can at least appreciate how fun and interesting the coures will be, and leave your expectations at home.

Yes, it's going to be that hard!
I just got back from my final walk through of the new layout.
It is even harder than I originally thought! Many of holes have the potential of being "worldclass" holes. I didn't have my GPS equipment with me to do distances, but I am guessing that at least 6 holes are easily over 400'. And the course begins with some seious nastiness if you are right handed.
Also two holes have mandatories in effect, one being a height restricted double mandy.
I can't wait to watch people play this course, and hear what they have to say about it. I think the winning score is going to be -5 par.
Two days and counting!

If someone yells "fore", should I look left or right since we are playing counter clockwise? I don't want a matching scar on the other ear!!!!!!
I will be there for sure and I will load my basket back into my car, so we will have an extra if we need it. I know how everyone loves my basket.

I have chosen not to have drop zones for either mandatory because they are both essentially effective off the tee. A re-tee will be the properly executed play for a missed mandatory.

We only run it until Daylight Savings time changes, then it is in hibernation till the spring. You should come over this summer. I will set it all up just for you! If you shoot under par, I'll give you $10. If you beat me I'll give you $10. Potential of $20 (beating me with an under par score). If I beat you, you owe me nothing, and if you shoot over par, you owe me a Z-comet.

No, I said I would set it up JUST for him. We could do it another day at his convenience. Tuesday is doubles, not singles, so it wouldn't prove anything if he shot under par with a partner.
By the way Rhett, when are you going to cash in your invitation and come play? The Sdrawkcab layout is soo beautiful, and one of the most challenging (while remaining fair) courses I have played!
