I didn't know they made that stamp for 2004. I thought those stamps were from 2003. If is not a 2003, then where did you get it, because the ZD website didn't have them and they only said they made four hotstamps plus the GLOW.
I want more info.

Got my Champion Rocs and I have to voice my frustration.
I ordered 7 rocs...6 for myself and one for a friend. Out of the 6 I bought, not one of them matched up in weight, color or stamp. The 1 roc I purchased for my friend was close to what he wanted. I am very disapointed with what I got. I've been reading this thread and it sounds like ZD had nowhere near the resources they needed to fulfill this project.
INNOVA: You are the leading disc manufacturer in the world...why is it you can't deliver what you advertise and deliver what consumers expected to recieve. The way I saw it while ordering was that you may not get the weight you wanted but they made it seem like the color and stamp were a for sure thing.
I DON'T CARE IF I WAS ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES TO ORDER THESE...IF I KNEW I WAS BUYING RANDOM DISCS THAN I WOULD HAVE NEVER PAID FOR THEM.

M. Conners - don't buy them next year then. In fact if you are so unhappy with all of them, why don't you send them all in a box to me, and I will paypal you their original cost.
All of the whining over these discs is really quite lame. All of you who got discs and are unhappy, please grow up and don't post about it on here. Be mature and solve the problem yourself whether it be trading them, or selling them on e-bay to afford the colors and weights you want to purchase on e-bay. I mean please... this is getting really old. I am less than 30 minutes from the Innova factory and I got shut out completely. Have you heard me whining about how unfair that is? I think not.

Mar 03 2004, 12:43 AM
I think it is okay to be frustrated with how your CE Roc order turned out and even expected. Web vendors over the past few years have done such a good job getting us the exact disc, color, stamp, weight that if they are a little off people often return the discs for their money back or the "right discs".
Granted, the situation here with the CE Rocs is complicated by the limited number and the speed at which they sold out. It could not have been expected to sell out so quickly. So, we have to realize things did not go perfectly this time and find ways to get what we want.
Personally, I was disappointed I did not get a stamp, color or weight I asked for...not even close. However, there are dozens of people trading (Including me) on this thread or on "Trader's Row" and it is possible to get what you want or at least close. Right now I'm trading for a disc I want (or close to it) and enjoying throwing my other Roc (a lot!).
So....
1 - People have a right to be dissappointed if their order did not come out correctly.
2 - I believe ZoneDriven and Innova will make adjustments for next year and I hope they work.
3 - Act like adults and find ways to solve your problems.
4 - Quit ragging on people who say they're dissappointed. Help give them ways to solve their problems like so many have since some people are blinded of possible courses of action by their dissappointment.
Sorry for the rant. Enjoy throwing those Rocs...Or looking at them if that's what you like. I like looking at them as they fly! Come play in Montrose, Colorado!!!

I4 - Quit ragging on people who say they're dissappointed. Help give them ways to solve their problems like so many have since some people are blinded of possible courses of action by their dissappointment.
Ordinarily I'd agree with you, however, M. Conners said:
I've been reading this thread and it sounds like ZD had nowhere near the resources they needed to fulfill this project.
If he HAS been reading this thread, he should be fully aware of both the complicating factors (limited numbers, speed of sales) since they have been discussed almost to the point of ad nauseum AND the courses of action available to rectify his disappointment since there have been posted on both this and the "Trader's Row" thread. Since there is nothing in the post to suggest even remotely that he's willing or eager to trade for what he wants, it's hard to see any purpose for the post besides venting.
So ...
1 - People have a right to be dissappointed if their order did not come out correctly.
2 - I believe ZoneDriven and Innova will make adjustments for next year and I hope they work.
3 - Act like adults and find ways to solve your problems instead of just whining. :)

:DI have a sugg. for next year 5K CE GLO'Z ROC'Z each 1 with all the Prev. Year'Z STAMP'Z in MINI FORM @ $40.00. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Harold/Dave/INNOVA/USDGC/Z.D.,
I will place my ORDER now for 5 of them :D
The LOGOSTIC'Z of this YEAR'Z SALE are almost UNBELIVABLE.
People need to TRY to understand that and i'm guessing at these #'Z.
Let's try 4 stamp's, 5 color's?, 1370 total each stamp, about 274 DISC'Z per color then toss in a variety of weight's ranging from ? 165-180 G'Z?
C'MON FOLK'Z IT IS
P.S.
I am NO way Employed nor under contract to INNOVA/USDGC
Just a DISCER REALIST.

Just received my Glow Roc. WOOHOO!!!!
Just wondering. The pictures I've seen show the Glow Roc as quite opaque and with a black stamp.
I received a 179 that is transparent (can easily read the card behind it) and it has a metallic red stamp. It's really sweet!
Just curious if other people have more opaque or more transparent glow rocs and what color stamps people are getting.

I got the following stamp colors; red, black, blue, and chrome.
None of mine are transparent. I got 13 of them, all are 178g and above. Most are white, some a bone white color.
Circle 2, very funny.
Keep in mind, I am not whining, but why didn't we get to choose colors of stamps on the glo's? Seems like no one is complaining and Im not either. I love my black stamp! Maybe next year, they should pick one stamp and one color, so the only variation is weight. Seems to me, the problem was the sheer # of available combinations.
I am not mathematical, but how many discs would they had to have made this year for 100 discs in each weight, color, and stamp combination? Then they could have had all the like discs together when the orders came in. I would imagine, since there are so many dissatisfied customers, that the discs were all together, with no rhyme nor reason for color, stamp or weight. We will see what happens next year.
I like the idea of being able to get all the different styles and colors. Of course, I am the one who paid $32.00 bucks for the dx ring of rocks, so what do I know. I should learn to read more carefully. :)

I certainly won't sell them to a jackazz like yourself, I bought them to throw and possibly trade. Oh, and what's LAME is seeing your LAME reply to my post. This board is for whining, crying, arguing, talking smack or whatever you want it to be. YOU need to grow up, it's obvious you are ENVIOUS of everyone else who ordered. I have a 2004 CE Roc: 180 Grams that i threw 4 x in a practice field. This disc has a few minor scratches on the top of this disc. I would definitely call this disc "BARELY USED". If you didnt get a chance to buy one, and were looking to throw one, here it is now. There is no writing on this disc.
It sports a royal blue claw stamp and the disc is flourescent yellow. Definitely a HOT disc.

For anyone who had one and didn't wish to trade it to me, the trading person was offered quite a premium package for that disc. 2 CE Rocs (a pearl white with red hole 5 to replace the white pearl disc he traded and a glow with a blue stamp to replace the blue stamp he traded) also 2 of the Pro Worlds wolf stamps in the glitter Z plasitc (a wildcat and a wasp).
Now the important part, I don't think it was a bad trade to complete my set of pearl white with blue stamp CE ROCS.

I have a problem with my 166g 2004 CE Roc. Normally I use a Roc for *straight* throws through tight alleys, and for accuracy. I use a Roc on holes 300 feet or less or also on approaches of that distance on par four or par five holes.
Lately, I've noticed inconsistency with this disc. Many times I will throw this disc TOO far. Granted, I've never used such a light mid-range disc before (I normally throw 170-174 g discs) so I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this phenomenon with a 2004 CE Roc. I can usually control distance very well with any other mid-range disc, so I wonder if I am throwing it too far because it's a 2004 CE Roc or just because it's light? Should it be obvious that the reason is the light weight of the disc?
Paul Taylor
Aug 01 2004, 12:12 AM
It has seemed to me that the 2004 ROC is faster than the 03 and 02. When I was using the ROC, it seemed to get to the target faster than the previous years and and stayed on the line thrown better also. As for the weight, a lighter disc has a tendency to turnover, and I would think that a ROC may not be all that noticable in turning over, but it will ever so slightly and thus stays on a given straight line longer. Thus the extra distance.
Just my opinion and I could be totally wrong, which wouldn't be the first time.
Moderator005
Aug 01 2004, 03:28 PM
Actually, due to its light weight I've been throwing it with a slight amount of hyzer angle so I don't have any problems with it turning over. But your observation that it's a much faster disc would make a lot of sense as to why it's going farther than other Rocs or mid-range discs.
xterramatt
Aug 01 2004, 05:40 PM
You got better at throwing. Therefore, your disc goes farther. The more you throw a certain disc, the more dialed in you'll be to it's inclinations. I would say you are dialed in on this disc and the distance is an added bonus. Now you just need to figure out how to control your distance.
I don't particularly take the "it's faster than other CE Rocs" thing. it's a Roc. Probably just found the optimal throw for the disc. I have an 02 CE Roc and it goes farther than any other Roc I've ever thrown, But I think it's a lot to do with the stability of the disc and the fact that it doesn't have many nicks and such. Maybe I'm crazy.
You so crazy!
