This tournament was an exiting event to cover last year, and will be covered again this year.
This will be the 48th Disc Golf Monthly program and will be shown in May on Demand with Comcast and on Youtube.
Good luck to all teams playing in this fantastic match play tournament.

Because Seneca, Unit-Eat and PADE are all-star teams with ringers and questionable boundaries, and RADL used to have Walt and Larry.

i played 54 at HH yesterday (beautiful weather).
i was waiting at 1's tee at about 9:30 AM while my card mates were warming up over on extras A B and C. the big cows were huddled around the trough eating while about a dozen calfs stood there and stared at me. over the course of about 5 minutes, all of the calfs (and none of the adults) had slowly surrounded me right up on the tee and just stood there and stared. it was very twilight zone and almost cute enough to make me consider veganism. then two females tried to hump each other and we got a very beavis chuckle out of it.

no bull in that field right now- the fact that the cattle are mounting one another indicates that their heat cycles are returning after calving so it's almost time for him to be put in there again (or for erik to get really busy). funny- the first few days the bull is in the field he's all over the cattle, a couple of days later he'll be standing by himself on the opposite side of the field... kinda like shawn kemp.

Obviously they must've sucked at sports or never thought second of them in the 64 v 1 game.
The year that Michigan lost in the title game to UNC (1993, well, actually since Michigan cheated, this never happened according to the record books), UNC matched up against ECU in the first round in the 16-1 matchup
ECU kinda kept up with them, but obviously feel short.
UNC then beat either 8 or 9 seeded Rhode Island by around 30 or 40 points in the second round, much much easier win than the Pirates.
Also, ECU excels at baseball. They have a few NAIA national championships and made the super regionals (equivalent to the sweet 16) quite a few times. They have also won the C-USA tournament a few times.
LaShawn Merritt set the world record for the 100 meter dash in the 2003 -2004 track season. It was broken a few weeks later by a runner from the University of Flroida. Merritt then left school and now runs professionaly and last I heard was sponsered by Nike.

Another of the many examples of MTL talking out of his *****. Here is the progression of the 100m world record for the last century:

1921: 10.4, Charles Paddock, USA
1930: 10.3, Percy Williams, Canada
1936: 10.2, Jesse Owens, USA

1960: 10.0, Armin Hary, W. Germany
1968: 9.99, Jim Hines, USA
1968: 9.95, Jim Hines, USA
1983: 9.93, Calvin Smith, USA
1988: 9.92, Carl Lewis, USA
1991: 9.90, Leroy Burrell, USA
1991: 9.86, Carl Lewis, USA
1994: 9.85, Leroy Burrell, USA
1996: 9.84, Donovan Bailey, Canada
1999: 9.79, Maurice Greene, USA

wow, I was completly wrong. I have no clue why I was thinking 100 M instead of 400 M.
I know he set a big record with it, now I'm thinking that he set the NCAA record and then it was broken later by a college guy who also set the world record. But apparently I'm wrong about that too. Maybe that guy just broke his NCAA record?
its something along those lines.
And yeah, I was completely wrong, but guess what, I always admit it when I am.

Mar 14 2008, 12:05 PM
If you come up from I-64 via 522, make sure you keep your eyes open when you get on 719. I just did this route last Sunday and there is one point where 719 goes to the left and you take it, then another where you don't. The second one is where 719 makes a left turn and you actually want to stay on 652 which goes straight.
The quick rule for 719: Bear left at the first intersection, then stay straight until you see HH on the right

Thanks so much to Biscoe for everything this weekend!
I had such a great team and such a great time hanging with all of them and want to thank each of them for adding to my experience this weekend. And how about our secret weapon and team MVP Stephanie Greene. Lowest rated woman in her division and goes 5-0. Holy smokes!!
It was awesome to see Markus and Dave and Avery crush all over that place and watch Mose throw in crap from everywhere. A note to those playing match play against him, you will never win. Ever. Give up.
Congrats to PADE for taking it home - a bunch of classy classy guys. Congrats to Charlotte, UniTTy and the HHome team for thier strong showings as well.
And as a final note, we were 1-0-1 against teams in the finals and 0-1 vs. teams who got eliminated. Just saying. :D

Had a lot of fun at my first VTI. the matchups always look different on paper. I was impressed with everyone I battled against, it really was a chess match.
Big props to all the teams that got into the semis, It was a close race from beginning to end, and I'm glad I got to experience it. Wish we had tie to stay for the finals, but 3 days of hiking the Biscoe property has me totally worn out.
Really appreciate all the generosity and good spiritedness from all the competitors and especially the Trapassos and The Grange, never been to VA for a tournament and I will definitely be back. Maybe when diesel isn't $4.00 a gallon. Ouch.
Congrats to all the winners, cashers and MVPs. Heck, who isn't a winner in simply getting to play? Now on my list of favorite courses. Next year I'm training on the stairmaster!
Thanks Biscoe, Spotsy, and HHome.

btw, i will get a more detailed report up by tommorrow night- in the past i have done all the compiling when i wasn't in the playoffs.
i went to the course today to take the trash to the dump and other than the stuff nicely compiled in one area i picked up a total of 6 pieces of trash on the parking area, the yard, and the top of the hill combined. (along with the requisite 4 umbrellas- eventually i'll open biscoe's used umbrella emporium...) everyone should be proud of themselves. the fact that disc golfers have consistently proven themselves so conscientious in the use of the facility is a major point in the perpetuation of both the course and the tournament. :):D :D

Might be tough without a QB, RB, or Wrs this year. I really hope Pryor Sucks
MTL21676
Mar 20 2008, 04:47 PM
Man Pryor would have been PERFECT under Rich Rodriguez's style of offensive for Michigan. Not only does he not choose Michigan, he chooses Ohio State. Salt in the wound.
But Rodriguez is a great hire for Michigan in the long run.

BTW, I had an amazing time, and cannot wait until next year.

HOLE #12 It has my number. In practice I cleared the creek every time. In play, not so much. I killed myself on that hole and more importantly my team trying the hyzer. I will spend mucho time on that hole next time I see the course.

Roc off the tee and then a Putter and you're there. Either push with the three or let them f up and take your pt while giggling like a schoolgirl to the next tee. Now the next shorty killed me.
