Is it just me or is anyone else ready to just play disc golf and have some fun

I'm always ready to play golf anytime anywhere.

Throw in some down east love with the Knapps and you got me REALLY ready to play some golf.

I just hope I get over this illness so I can come this weekend. I had to miss Kings Cup last year from being so sick and I'm hoping that I don't have to miss ANY tournaments this year, especially something like a Knapp event.

Is it just me or is anyone else ready to just play disc golf and have some fun instead of all this crap???
I saw this on another thread and had to ask (I am sure Schweb) can answer this). Why isn't cuTT coming this weekend? I got to play with 2/3 of TTrim at Buckhorn. I was trying to go 3/3 but that 2nd round killed it lol.

Sorry Scott and Moe...I am done ruining your thread about an awesome tournament that I would love to be a part of.

I thoroughly enjoyed WATCHING you play golf at Buckhorn...I can't really say that I played that first round though. My nephew has you up there with Schweb now.

Looks like there are a few spots left, after a long wait 1 month about, I thought surely this would be full by now. Knappy doesn't hold spots or reservations, so why take a chance. Now, who let the bagger in the Intermediate, gives all us Intermediate a goal to pursue, I understand, that advance division is really tough.Got my eye on the tiger.

Hey guys. Back to the "holding a spot" thing. If someone were to call me and say "Hey, I am definitley gonna be there". Then that is ok. I will probably have your card ready. But if the tournament fills with PAID registrations then you will be moved to a waiting list (if there are PAID registrations on the waiting list, then you will be behind them on that waiting list).
Unless, you want to join Onslow Flying Disc Association. And you can do that HERE! (http://www.ofda.us/membership.htm) Holding spot for club members is accepted at Knappy Brand Events.
I am sure that someone out there might think that is not fair. Too bad for you.
I am off to the course to do some work. And turn in my gas grill permit, and buy everyones favorite (especially MTLs favorite when its windy) Orange paint!

I'll get em there Knapp, even if I don't end up playing. Have you thought about getting tent spikes to anchor the baskets? Just thinking out loud. Also, you may want to metion in the players meeting that when a card clears a hole the last one out should check the chains as Discatchers tangle much easier than standards. I know you are probably wau ahead of me on this, just lookin' out for a friend. I may get those baskets to you Friday afternoon. I'll call you if that's the case.

Scott and Moe first class event once again!! had a great time all weekend long. so stoked on the weather yesterday and thanks to all OFDA for the great work on the temp 9 at J-ville. i can't tell you how much i loved those holes. it would be amazing if they could be perminent.

MTL21676
Feb 26 2007, 01:25 PM
I like the holes too.....here is some constructive criticism from me...

1. The idea of the hole is good, but it is really flukey. Also, the limb in front of the tee needs to be removed. However I do understand that it was a change and didnt have the time to prepare for it. Hands down the worst hole on the 9
2. Just a great hole
3. I liked this hole too - options of the tee
4. I like the idea of the hole and the shot, but the limb - well, mixed emoitions about it. I could see it being there and not being there and arguements both ways
5. My favorite hole on front 9 - i love holes that combine touch control and power
6. At first I didn't like the hole, but I do now. The left route was the tougher shot, but more open. The middle route was the easier shot, but tighter. Saw lots of differnt shots on this hole - I like the options involved
7. I believe Donnie said that the pin use to be around to the right, and that would be an awesome hole where it was. I thought that the 2nd shot was kinda flukly and saw lots of good shots hit trees heading towards the pin. The tee shot was really fun to throw though
8. I understand the left tree being a mando, but why the double mando? The left mando is all you really need there. This is a very tough hole - only saw one 3 on it.
9. A simple hole is never a bad hole!

donnie1980
Feb 26 2007, 04:07 PM
Thanks to everyone that came out. Glad to see most everyone enjoy the temp 9. Sorry about hole one we threw a few shots on it and I parked em all so I figured it was alright  Wish we could of kept hole 7 pin where it was but I lost that battle. Hole 8 I still love. Can't believe we held the rain off Sunday. Couldnt have worked out better. The sky bottomed out right after we left. We will give more info in the summer tourney after our next meeting. Great tournament! I am so proud of the Knapps, Donnie, and all of OFDA for their planning, hard work, and dedication to their event and disc golf. I loved the front nine and the use of the land. A little tweek here and there as mentioned and then pour those pads and place those pins. Awesome! Thanks to those that cooked as well. I think it is such a convenience and is much appreciated by many. I plan to try to incorporate this into the King's Cup II. I have nothing but love for you guys and am so thankful for you. Thanks Dave! You shot well yourself, no doubt! I have one more that was a 1004 it was .....in Richlands at my first Fall Disc Golf Classic.

Does any one have extra hard copies of the article? I'd love to send one to Joey and some of my family . I have only two. It was a very well written article.

Dustin was on fire, great shootin' man!

Nice shooting yourself Joe, I definitely learned a thing or two about headwind putting from ya, I don't think you missed more than one putt on Sunday, that was pretty sick.
I had a great time meeting and shooting with a bunch of cool guys out there...Joe, Dave G, Daniel, Adam, very fun guys to play with.
Richlands is by far the hardest treeless(almost) course I have ever played. :D

yeah i see that now. do you know why that round is not included in your ratings detail?

Just like at 1 moe, I beat ya by 12 strokes but since you got your crappy 3rd rnd dropped we shot the same 971 golf. Dumping your 3rd rnd at CPWO leaves you shooting 1002 golf for the weekend, which is WHACK! Get it together on the 3rd rnd Ivvl and you'll be playing some golf. Or just keep getting them tossed out and you'll be over-rated... :o:D

Great post - lol

I swear, I just have these thing about third rounds as of late. I feel that no rounds should ever be dropped, but so be it.

I was happy to finish so high in a great field with such a poor third round. It seriously gave me some confidence.

Joe, as noted, you're going to have to teach me how to putt in the wind. I obviously haven't a clue on that. I have learned that thumbers don't work well in the wind, but still I thumb. Fun for me. Thumbers rule, blow away, but rule. Congrats Joe, photogenic hybrid disc golfer.
