Once again Sparks American Sports grill will be a cash sponsor for the Buckhorn open. Scott Anderson and I will be at sparks no later than an hour after the last card is turned in. The Scoreboard will be located at Sparks all night. Please see me if you need a place to change, I live five mins from sparks.
The owner is G-ville alumni who loves Disc golf. I'm working out the details this afternoon.
The bar is about 8 miles from Harris lake. Please find the map below.

That was sick this weekend, 7 aces at the horn.....WOC.
hole 5 short pad EOG
Hole 9 short pad Kevin Heathcock, and Brent Mabry back to back groups
Hole 11 short pad Chaca Chaca
Hole 15 Jay Lockamy and ???
hole 17 short pad 351 ft with the last 200 feet over water.....Snoop Haney, Was in my group 1st round of the tourney......funny thing about it was, there was a 3 group back up on this hole when we got there. most peeps lay up short of the water on this hole then throw across. Whil we are waiting Snoop is calling everybody that lays up wimps, so finally it is our groups turn to tee. I tee first and park it, I was going to lay up b4 I saw most everbody else that threw go in the water. Snoop is next and he throws a Star Wraith that just misses the right side tree and slowly fades towards the basket and destorys the chains just left of center for the ace. What an awesome shot.
Now the Real funny thing is on Sunday, playin with Snoop again, I have the Tee first again I got across again but was 50 feet long looking back at the water for the deuce puTT, I lay up easy 3. Snoop takes a 4 this time.
Saturday I lost the Tee honors with a Deuce, Sunday I kept the box with a 3. Shows the beauty of that hole and golf.

That was sick this weekend, 7 aces at the horn.....WOC.
hole 5 short pad EOG
Hole 9 short pad Kevin Heathcock, and Brent Mabry back to back groups close, there was a group inbetween, but we still saw Kevins as there was backup and Kevin was on the other side of the water and saw brents - very cool.
Hole 11 short pad Chaca Chaca
Hole 15 Jay Lockamy and Kevin Burgess
hole 17 short pad 351 ft with the last 200 feet over water.....Snoop Haney, Was in my group 1st round of the tourney......funny thing about it was, there was a 3 group back up on this hole when we got there. most peeps lay up short of the water on this hole then throw across. Whil we are waiting Snoop is calling everybody that lays up wimps, so finally it is our groups turn to tee. I tee first and park it, I was going to lay up b4 I saw most everbody else that threw go in the water. Snoop is next and he throws a Star Wraith it was actually a pro wraith that just misses the right side tree and slowly fades towards the basket and destorys the chains just left of center for the ace. What an awesome shot.

Yeah I layed up, got across, and got my three with Schweb and Snoop.
We get to 18 and they asked what I got. I said I'll take a Schweb plus Walt.

My first tournament at Buckhorn and I must say what a nice course. Have to play smart for sure, or get punished. Had great groupings all weekend and had a great time. Can't wait for next year.

Nice shooting to all the winner :) good job CLEEtus!
Same weekend Schweb doesn't win his tourney and Barry doesn't win his. Weird. There's like, fierce competition and stuff out there. Too bad I'll only have one sanctioned event through May...guess I'll just have to win Vegas.

I remember a few years ago JJ hit hole 17 so hard that it kicked out and went 20-25 away from the hole. I am pretty sure he still hit his putt for 2.

I found a chocolate-colored proto terd in the pond on Sunday. It was still floaTTin! No name in it, pretty beaten in, is that you Mitch? Smelled like it had been in there a while....couple pieces of corn & peanuts stuck in the rim.

Yeah that sounds about right. It had some bright green streaks in it and my initials carved in it so you might want to get in real close and take a look...i also made it scratch and sniff.

Great event, great weather great fun.
Congrads to CLee in open. Hot shooting to Sheets. Nice effort Clizzark.
Even though I had a roller coaster style event (leading to not cashing lol) I still had a blast and had fun in every round. Yes, it hurts not to have cashed, but I did 2 things I had never done before. I lead a PDGA pro event after a round and I also took a 2 on 6 from the blues.
I learned 2 valuable things. The first is no matter what keep having fun (Walt can attest that I never stopped having fun). The second thing is practice before events
Thanks to RADL and Scott A and all the staff. See everyone at CPWO.

Scotty, I see no DEP Cup on that list for NC points. What happened?
The power that be has decided that the DEPC was not going to fit in his plans for the NC points series. This was disappointing when I heard (albeit from someone other than the head source).
While this decision has me confused and more than a little upset, I will continue to support NC and the series since it means so much. I do think that some changes are needed but I think that some of the ones taken are not in the best interest of the entire state. I do plan to discuss this more with certain individuals. I will say in the defense of some that none of the parties I am upset with were at Buckhorn.
The DEPC will still be a great event and it will still be a part of a points series. The series it will be a part of is the new Coastal Plains Points Series. If you want more information, check the Greenville thread here CPPS Information (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Courses&Number=215488&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=637)
