No worries - tendonitis kept me from playing most of the season. I'll bump back on after Sept/Oct. as I'm gonna get a few more events in. Thanks Steve. Hey - any lost and found come out of the Maple Hill pond yet? I got one back at Paw Paw - hoping to see that old purple aviar agin some day :)

You dropped one position and two new folks joined the rankings above you. Relative to folks that used to be on the list, you moved up one. (Doesn't make it feel any better does it? /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif )

I would bet that after the USDGC and Player's Cup, we'll get another handful of folks in the top 50 as they become qualified.

One thing your post points out is that it would be nice to see what MWP is doing week to week. I bet your MWP got better, but that other folks just jumped in ahead of you. I'll look into the possibility of tracking this.

It's a joke that Jennifer Allen isn't in the top 30 Pro Women!

She's won the Duncan Hillclimber, Norman Pro/Am, Griffin Park Open, Flightline Open, Ardmore Summerfest, Twin Oaks Open, 5th Emporia Glass Blown Open, Mr. Jim's Carrolton Open, and Big Arms on the Brazos all this year and look for great finishes for her at the Oklahoma Open and VPO in the next couple of weeks! :D

Jennifer is ranked 31st on the PDGA World Rankings (not Marshall Street). She could be higher but hasn't yet played in any of the four major events against other World class women in Worlds, USWDGC, Euro Open or Player's Cup.

We have Jennifer at #30 in the Disc Golf World rankings as well. I think Jennifer is more talented than that, but she's chosen to stay closer to home more with her family (Kelly and the kids), and she has not played in any NT events, nor any majors. I feel if she played more in bigger events (and she has not even played in the Wide Open recently, which is only a 4-hour trip from Tulsa), she'd probably be in the top 15 at least. However, Jennifer has different priorities, and I think that's pretty cool.

Strictly on PDGA ratings, Jennifer is ranked 24th which better indicates her fundamental skill as a potential world class contender. But all three of the World Ranking systems add more weight to performance against other world class players in higher tier events, as they should. If you don't actually play in events that bring together the best players, your developing potential hasn't yet been tested against the best.

I think USDGC is in. Sorry I've missed posting the updates lately, I am trying to get the MSDGC DVD completed then I will come back to this. Unfortunately, gettting the tourney data is not automated and it takes a bit of time. Give me three weeks and I should be caught back up.

Without looking, I would guess that Jennifer Allen has not played in enough events, much like Jesper Lundmark up until the last update.
