What's on the line for the final nine?
ozdisc
Jul 10 2006, 03:27 PM
Still working on it James. Still negotiating with Budweiser some info and working on the hole layout. I will however be avoiding safari holes. Also only the top 4 (plus ties) to a max of 5 players will be in it. I will have a tie breaker in place to allow only a max of 5 play the final.
vinnie
Jul 10 2006, 04:10 PM
you could always do top 4 open scores in final nine
james_mccaine
Jul 10 2006, 04:24 PM
I think that is his plan, unless there are less than 4 open players.
Don't you ever read the program!!!! :D
maverick
Jul 10 2006, 04:27 PM
Chris you could always make it one pro division and that way all of the pro's get a chance to play in the final nine.

Things are coming together well. Thanks everyone.
I will spend the afternoon listing all the OB's for the rules handout. I would recommend people read it on Saturday morning. That goes for the Pro's as well. :D
Not that I should have to say again but...sign up now at www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com) Do not expect to drive in Saturday and get in. Then again you would get to spend the weekend at the beach.
We now have enough Open Pro's (MPO) to make a good field and to have them in the Final 9 as listed above.
If there are any ladies that want to play let me know. A few more would be nice. I know "Hot Sauce" wants some competition

What a fun weekend in Corpus. The weather was hot but I think we all survived. Even those huge storms at lunch on Saturday just missed us. The mosquitos finally went away a little on Sunday so we could all see in front of us.
Thanks to everyone that played and enjoyed themselves. We had players from all four corners of Texas.
Congrats to Pete Lopez and Trey Clarkson for hitting the only 2 aces of the event. Trey even hit his on his birthday. Happy birthday mate.
A huge thanks to our sponsors for making this event special. Budwesier, Chili's, Innova all were great. Thanks to those that also chipped in for the raffle.
I couldn't have done all this without all the help from everyone this weekend. Billy, Third Coast Club and everyone that stayed around and helped pack up. You guys were great.

Great job 3rd Coast - lots of OFF, lots of FUN. Any truth to the rumor of an October CC Open next year? Cooler weather (ha) and fewer mosquitos (HA!) would be a welcomed change.
ozdisc
Jul 17 2006, 03:36 PM
Yes rumor has it the CCO or CCC will be held in October or so next year. The most likely thing will be a switch off the Ingleside and CC event dates.
The other thing is the event may go to a 4 round, 2 course event using Ingleside with a hotel at North Beach and all that fun stuff.
All of this of course is up to the Third Coast Club but things are looking good after a successful last few years events.
To answer Vinnie's questions about his Bud Girl...we expected to get golf carts to assist in the Final 9 along with the girls staying for the presentations. Things happened and the carts couldn't make it and the girls had to leave earlier than expected. However Vinnie I know the girls were fighting over who would have caddied for you, you should have seen them going crazy. :D
Thanks to everyone that followed the Final 9 around the course. I took a few photos of the gallery as well as showed the Bud Girls around. All this will get back to Budweiser and help make gaining more sponsorship in the future.
Just like Saturday night at Chili's. 40 people supported the sponsor and enjoyed dinner and drinks. That will definatley help next years cause. I just wish they had of put up the banners like Budweiser asked them to. Did anyone see the CCO table tents?
