Looks like 2 of our faithful admins have left us high and dry. Do not worry though cuz the TDSA always finds a way to make things happen.

Myself and Scott "Furdog" Schumacher plan on taking the helm on the Chandler Tornado this year.

Yesterday while Wise and I were loading baskets he told me that Chandler was not going to happen unless we have someone step up. I decided I would present my services to run this tournament and about an HOUR ago I got confirmation that the tournament is mine. Furdog graciosly offered to help and I took him up on it immediately.

I'll work on a flyer this weekend and hopefull Mr. Ward can get it up on the site early next week.

More info to come very soon!!!

Thanks ChrisP, I'm looking forward to running this event with Furdog.

Remember everyone, this is not a sanctioned event, it is a PARTY event. Don't forget this is the only weekend of the year where the Chandler parks dept allows people to CAMPOUT!!! Bring your tent, RV, Van or you can sleep under the stars with just a pillow and sleeping bag, WHATEVER!!

You will be surrounded by disc golf baskets!

This will be a great time!

KUDOS to MC and Furdog for stepping up and continuing to make this event one of the classics in the Tulsa area. It's that kind of commitment that makes disc golf events as special as they are.

First of all I want to thank John Green for all that he has done and all the love him and Diane have given away so freely. I will miss them both and hope to see them whenever possible. Having seen them exchange wedding vows out there reminds that their loving spirit will always live and walk upon that ground.

Yesterday when I found out John was stepping down I was saddened by the news. I made a small inquiry to Wise about who was going to be the next TD and what all does it involve. Well one challenge led to another and when he called me "The son of a flee infested El Gotto"...... that was it. There ain't no cat hair on my butt.

So I want to thank the Academy for letting the dog in.

I want thank my momma and my brothers and sisters back at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Having been the runt of the litter I have often dreamed of an opportunity like this.

Momma always said "You've got to find a place in life where your short arm can do the most good."

Chandler park....(aka: "Furdog's Mountain") is the place for me.

I'll be working on some idea's over the next few weeks in hopes of bringing more peace, love, and happiness to a place that has always been known for those very things.

Last night Marie and I played nude golf at Chandler in the dark and she beat me by ten strokes so there's more idea's where that came from. ;)

By the way Wise, "Furdoogo" is my Vegas stage name courtesy of Mr. Twisted so spell it right or you'll find yourself on Mitchell's card at everyone of my mini's. :o

Ok Connors. Since you're still fairly young and inexperienced in such matters let me give you the low-down on " The Kitchen ", according to Furdog.

In the beginning God created man. After a while man got tired of eating in the garden so God created " The Kitchen " and in " The Kitchen " God stocked the refrigerator with fur-tacos and milk.. But despite all his best efforts man could not learn to heat up the tacos or shake the milk to make milkshakes so God created woman to hang out in " The Kitchen " to heat the tacos and run the blender for milkshakes. Man was happy and for the most part, woman didn't seem to mind. Life was good for many years until one day man told his buddy to grab a beer out of " The Kitchen ".... :(

The moral: Unless you want to go back to spending nights in the garden eating lettuce, be good to your woman and don't let your buddy in " The Kitchen ".

m_conners
Mar 22 2006, 02:40 PM
That's good Furdog, I like your breakdown of "The Kitchen" :D

I guess you missed muy kitchen review from last night.

I would like to express my sincerest thanks to Furdog and Marie. Furdog invited myself and my wife over to Marie's last night for dinner. Much to my surprise He invited me to have my dinner in the Kitchen. I walked in, she pulled the pizza out of the oven and I stood there and had my pizza while my wife watched. It was really an amazing experience.

I don't care what anybody says about FurDog, any man that will invite a buddy over to have a meal in his kitchen is a buddy for life.

sschumacher
Mar 22 2006, 03:26 PM
Hey buddy. Pizza is a totally different country when compared to Furtaco's. Just because you ate pizza in " The Kitchen " doesn't mean what you ate was cooked in " The Kitchen ". Besides that, " The Dining Room " is where the real meals are served at the Moose house. Unfortunately for you, you're not worthy of a meal like that but your wife has a lifetime free membership due to the 24/7 " Drive Thru " she maintains for me and all your fellow disc golf buddies. It's even better than Jack-in-the-Box........The only reason she let's you hang around is because someone's got to take out the trash. :D

Only one thing to say. Moose Lodge is heaven and a great place.
All it needs now is a few moose grazing in the back yard. I bet if some one gets some moose antlers and staple to fur dogs head and chain him up in the back. Marie would keep him.

I wanted to give a shout out to the guys who offered their services at the Tornado next month and to the people who have helped in past years and are doing so again this year:

Pat Standingbear - he is in charge at Chandler and is the person who is letting us camp in the park

Joyle Deering, Tony "sky" Walker and Billy "Bowflex" Juby - in the past these guys have done a great job of setting up the alternate course, expect some cool changes this year cuz Joyle just got permission to use the North end of the rock.

Steve Naegle, Aaron Swygert, Gary Nail and Martin Norris have all offered there services for this event. Thanks guys!

Thank you Steve Ward for posting the Chandler flyer on the TDSA website.

Thank you Wayne for printing mini schedules with the chandler flyer on the back.

Thank you Jason Schwake for priting flyers and getting them out in the OKC.

Ok You Trash Talkers and Wanna-be Sponsors

The animals have taken control!!!!

Back by popular demand, now is your chance to tell the world how great you are or tell your competitors how much they suck. :p

I will be laminating and placing sponsorship and trash talk signs on the course again this year to raise money for event costs, payouts, and the Am Worlds fund. These signs will have a nice thick laminate and will be suitable for framing if you want them back afterwards. Price will be:

$15 bucks or a donated prize(s) of equal value for one sign.

or

$30 bucks or a donated prize(s) of equal value for three signs.

Use your imagination and put some <font color="red">color </font>into it. If you saw the "Twoputt Loves Sheep" signs I made last year then you know what I'm talking about.....Keep in mind that little kids might see some of these so please avoid using the seven dirty words that Rhett would feel the need to censor. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif....You still got a couple of weeks to think about it and if you need any help trying to think of something to say about Mitchell, Coach, or Twoputt, then let me know because I've got plenty of ideas.....Artwork or slogan must be on a 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. Deadline for submissions will be Monday April 17th.

Also.

The design for the tie-dye t-shirts are coming together and I'm telling ya that they're going to be sweet. If you want be a super sponsor and/or get your name or logo on the back then get with me or Connors. Space is limited so if you're interested let us know now because we need to finalize the back design soon and get it to the screen printer. Keep in mind that any excess space not covered with print may be covered with dogfur instead so don't let that happen.

More info to come later...... :)

Well if your choice is getting hammered by sandbagging am's that are under 30 and should be pros, or having 15 year olds that don't score in the advanced am range play and lose by 20 strokes a round to the leader card then i guess you can call it fun. but remember that when hitting your head with a hammer it feels real good when you stop.
If the only Divisions are AM PRO and Ladies then i guess i will just hang out with the dog for free.

Apr 03 2006, 02:44 PM
If it has half of the participants than last year it would be a HUGE SUCCESS!

There were tons of people trying to rack up points for AM Worlds last year. This years crop is in it for "GOOD TIMES" not the competitive side of things.

Apr 03 2006, 02:51 PM
I'm not running the event, but I would say I agree with everything MC and FURDOG are going to do.

Don't judge the book by its cover.

You have no idea how this tournament is going to be ran and your already criticizing it. If it was a $8 mini there would only be 3 divisions so why not for a weekend $30 mini event?

Apr 03 2006, 02:55 PM
Conners has mentioned the FLIGHT system as a payout for AMS

which that means example:
1st-5th get paid
15th-20th get paid
30th-35th get paid

It eliminates sandbagging completly

This event does sounds fun, and I know that is the name of the game...but when I figure what'll cost me and my hubby to play ($100 with camping and CTP's...that doesns't even include food or drinks) I can stay in OKC and compete against Barb for fun...and it won't cost me $100 to do it.
I do see the "other" side of it. And I hope you see where some of us are coming from as well.

I'm not getting it? What is wrong with the format?

twoputtok
Apr 03 2006, 04:08 PM
Pure and simple it's the cost.
I have heard from more than one or two locals that they will not attend strictly due to the cost and these people are not your usual complainers. They make a good point.

This is not a question you can answer, Kevin. You have grown acustom to fewer people playing for higher entry fees.

If it is for fun, then make it a price that people won't think twice about and more of them will come for the fun.

IMO- leave the entries for Pro and advanced alone. For women cut it in half. $20 for the Jrs and you still need to have an Int division or a Novice division for around $25 -$30.

You could have 30 players show up at $50 each or 60+ players show up at $25. Now, ask your self, if it is for fun, wouldn't it be more fun if more people attended?

See, that wasn't hard.

I understand Conners wanting to make it simple and easy. I don't disagree with that. I do how ever disagree on an entry for a non-sanctioned event being the same as a sanctioned one.
Open it up to all, make it affordable, make it an event that all want to play.

Wammy
Apr 03 2006, 04:11 PM
What is the women's turn out usually like? I play Int normally. Will I be expected to compete against any Pro Women that show up? Would any male Int Players like to pay to compete against a Pro?

Apr 03 2006, 04:18 PM
I doubt that any Pro Woman will be attending, I can't speak for Jenifer Allen but I can say if C. Peavy plays, she would probably play Pro Men. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think Melissa Stacye is our best woman player from this side of the state and shes a 760 golfer.

The Int men will play in the AM division, most of the ADV players are going to take this chance to make some money in the PRO division without ruining they're am eligibility.

In an earlier post I listed that Conners was talking about the flight system pay out, so not just the top placers will get paid.

Apr 03 2006, 04:20 PM
OHHHHHHHHH

I thought it was $30 for AMS

OOOOOPS ;)

Apr 03 2006, 04:22 PM
Tammy doesn't need to pay $30.00 for a entry fee to play against me, when we both can stay home and play against one another for FREE and still have FUN.

I'm not following a Women's Only Division at this tournament

And one more thing I'm NOT the GRANDMASTER women.

I know that I can play in the WOMEN's division, but what about those other women (for instance the Rec women or even Intermediate women for that matter) you honestly expect them to come out and pay $30.00 to play against pro women just for FUN. What kinda fun is that

How do you expect me to encourage women to show up for this event and say to them "Please come and play the Chandler Tornado, it's only $30.00 and you will get to compete against the pro women, but don't worry because it's all for fun. WHAT A JOKE.

I don't think the other women are going to like it very much.

I'm out on the golf course running women's league/lessons, giving individual lessons, and running Mixed Doubles tournaments to encourage women.

In my opinion this tournament format for the Chandler Tornado is not encouraging to the women at all.

It certainly will not encourage the women to come out and play, but on the other hand maybe you don't want us there at all.

Just my 2 cents for now.

twoputtok
Apr 03 2006, 04:22 PM
I notice you answered her question but side stepped mine.

Would it not be more fun if more people could attend. Especially the lower rated players?
$50 is way to steep for them, IMO.

I understand he will flight it as you said but I really don't think the lower disvisions or Terrill will understand that and they will just stay away. That is the part that concerns me, they will stay away.

More players = more fun.

Apr 03 2006, 04:29 PM
PRO WOMEN?

Where are all these PRO Women your talking about?

J. Allen and C.Peavy would both prefer to play Open Men if they were going to play Chandler, they are pro's, they're in it for the cash.

Apr 03 2006, 04:31 PM
Thanks for the SLAP in the FACE.

I forget that we only have 2 Pro Women in the State of Oklahoma. Jennifer Allen and Courtney.

I thought I answerd your question when I said I didn't realize it was $50 for AM.

Another thing I would say is that this is MC's and Furdogs first attempt at running a weekend event, and I would think you guys would cut them a little more slack than that. Every event that MC has touched has been golden. Your doubting this event before you even know what is going on. These guys are first timers and its not a good thing to welcome 2 new TDS with ridicule.

I must say I'm a little dissappointed :( These guys won't let ya down!

twoputtok
Apr 03 2006, 04:43 PM
Did I say anything about the quality of the event they would run?
NO

Did I say anything about the quality of the TD's for this event?
NO

Did I question the cost and the lack of other divisions for Novs, women and jr;s.
YES, I did.

Whats wrong with that?

I am concerned with the number of players that may not attend due to the price. I'd say that is a ligitimate concern.
I have always been a firm beleiver in that half of something is better than all of nothing.

Now, answer my other question, wouldn't it be more fun if more people could attend?

Apr 03 2006, 04:43 PM
PRO as in OPEN,

Your rating as a Pro Masters is close enough to have you playing with the ADV girls.

So Barb how many womens divisions do we need? There hasn't been more than 7 women attend a Tulsa tournament other than Double O

Apr 03 2006, 04:45 PM
No cuz I could use some workers out at MOHAWK :o

Apr 03 2006, 04:53 PM
There is NOTHING wrong with the format! I can see where $50 for AMs might be a little pricey, but if MC is paying out in flight system it doesn't matter that there is only one divison of AMS. You can finish 35th and win more than what 3rd place gets, thats the beauty of FLIGHT payouts, it simplifies everything. Now the sandbagger showing up to collect isn't going to like this formula, but it works.

PRO as in OPEN

I didn't know there was a difference between PRO as in Open and Pro as in Open Masters, they still are the same.

I'm fully aware of my rating and certainly don't need to have you point it out to me. I never said I was one of the TOP pro women players. Just because my rating would allow me to play advanced women, doesn't mean that's the division I'm going to play in during any tournament. This is not the topic of discussion here anyway.

I'm not running the tournament and certainly can't tell the TD's how many divisions for women to have that is there call to make.

I can tell you that there were 9 women at the Chandler Tornado last year.

If this tournament changes from the past 2 years. It will be a dissappointment to alot of people and girls and women that come from out of state to play.
The format of playing 4 rounds for all is whats its all about. Its not a Major PDGA tour.
Lets not take the fun for all out of it.

If the entry fees are too high, then don't come. Don't try to ruin an event for everyone that will be there having a good time. What good will attempting to strike a local disc golf tourny do anyways, obviously not everyone is going to strike, so you will basically be wasting a good weekend of disc to attempt to bring negative feelings to the sport of disc golf, and thats just not needed. Well its not going to be like last year.

This was never an issue of trust. It was an issue of cost of entry and divisions being offered.

I have no problem with the flight system, I have never cashed in it anyhow.
I, personaly don't have a problem with the entry but I was expressing my concerns of how it could effect a lot of the players. For instance, James Diel and others. I know Darrel Baily from Ark would like to come play but with himself and two kids I'm afraid that would be impossible.

I was just suggesting that lower entries would result in more players, meaning more fun for all to have.

I have never been to a MC event that wasn't a GREAT event and fun for everyone. I wouldn't know what the payout system is like though. ;) But, I always look forward to the next one and for this event with the added FurDog influence it should be off the chart. :D

You are missing the whole point Kevin. YOU are NOT running this event, but you are the one telling all of us what is being done, and why is it that you know so much about it all, when others do not.

Are you even reading what is being said here. There are people indicating that there should be more than just 3 divisions. Why is it that is such a problem for you. Anytime people suggest or make a comment about something that you do not agree with, everyone else is always in the wrong.

I trust MC and FurDog that they will run a great event.

I would appreciate it Kevin if you would take your negative personal comments at me elsewhere.

I am sorry Furdog and MC. When I asked my question I had nothing to refer to other than the flyer- that is why I asked. I have never been to Chandler and don't really know what to expect. I really thought it was a harmless question. I truly meant no harm!

Now my question is...dare I ask?....what is the general opinion of children being in attendance?

During Golf and day time activities it will probably be okay. If you plan on camping, I would suggest a spot away from the crowd. It can get a little wild at night but it is a great big park with lots of room to find a quiet spot.

i saw food and keg with the words players back below it.
was the food and keg the players pack??
The family friendly aspect was brought to me by the parent of another child not me.. My 15 yo can cuss and scream and make a Billy Swanson of him self quite well. i was refering to the under 14yo crowd (yeah i know it's only 9 kids) but some parents don't always have automatic baby sitters. From all I am reading about this event, it is an event with Disc Golf as a side issue. i suppose my mistake was to think of this as a Golf Tourny and not as an overnight party in the park........
I can't even do that part due to health problems...... oh well :(

No i don't think it is part of the players pack.

Are the parents looking for someone to watch their kids while they are playing?

Thong- I do not have anyone here that can watch my kid. If I knew someone I could depend on, you would see a lot more of me in Tulsa! :) In order for both my hubby and I to play, she will be with me while I play. I know Melissa would be cool with that and I hope anyone else would be too.

what my post was about was that from time to time there are children under 12 years old who play because their parents play. they need to be stationed away from some of the rowdyness that may well happen at a nonsanctioned party. this applies to both on and off the course. you know that when nonsanctioned rounds are in progress certain rules of play are not in effect and this can be rough on little ones. Or i guess you could just advertise this as an adults only bash

Howdy!! I see there has been a lot of "discussion" going on since I've been out. I trust everyone has been respectul to one another????

Yeah right :D

I've only read a few posts so I don't want to address much until I read it all.

But right now I do want to address the Ladies. I want all of you to know that I have never let a female go home empty handed. Any female who has ever participated in one of my events can tell you I cater to them and I LOOOOOOOVE watching ladies throw frisbees. If we have a Pro female playing in the ladies division then obviously she will dominate against any AM ladies...saying that, I believe it would be wise to create multipe divisions ONLY for the ladies, this will happen only if the situation calls for it. If a Courtney Peavy or a
Jennifer Allen show up I think I can speak for them saying they will most likely compete in the Pro division. Trust me ladies, you won't be spending much $$$ to compete in this event and I promise you will enjoy yourself.

Martin,

Were you at last years Chandler Event? Did you see the amount of partying going on out there? I did not hear you complaining then when John Green was TD'ing? I am pretty G*D darn sure I saw families with kids last year camping out so I don't want to hear it. This is a DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT, not a "pay your entry at the door" and let's get crap faced event.

Has anyone ever been to the Frizz?? Have you ever seen the BIG sign in main building that says "NO WHINERS"? That was a brilliant idea by Mr. Harvey Barger and I'm going to give him a big hug next time I see him and give him props on his sign.

Also, I created the flyer and I came up with the format so
those of you who are calling out Scott Schumacher better shut the freak up or you will have serious problem with me. Again, if you have a problem with how the tournament is set-up then direct your commets towards me and not Furdog.

OK, I am going to pop a brew and begin reading ;)

MC, sorry but I have to disagree with you on this one. CP and I played Chandler a couple months ago, and we weren't just fooling around. She only beat me by 2 strokes. She's a 930 golfer...I'm a 760 golfer...so she should definitely beat me by at least 15 strokes on any given day or on any course. But she didn't. Chandler is a TOUGH course for some pro golfers. And in this case, it leveled the playing field.

But you're right, she'll definitely play Open if she plays. She likes playing with the men...it makes us competitive females much better golfers. That's another reason I am all for just having one Ladies division. Playing with better players will make you a better player.

Melissa
Apr 04 2006, 04:30 PM
On the other handMC DOES know how to treat ladies. Im sure no lady will go home empty handed regardless of where she places. The first baskets and bowling event was my first disc golf event ever. My experience during that event is one of the biggest reasons I have continued to play disc golf. All the T-Town guys have shown me nothing but support since I started playing.

Good grief, I had to drink 3 Bud Selects just to get through all those posts! AAAHHHHH, so where do I begin? HMMMMMMMMMM? I'm thinking and I can't figure out where to start? I can't think of what to say? What time is it? Is my dog still outside? When is the next work day? Is Terrell going to be there?

Now I remember where to start!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Paske, just in case you were thinking about attending this marvelous shin dig that Furdog and myself are putting together, I would like to kindly ask you not to attend this event. The fact you disrespected my ideas and my ability to run a golf tournament from the start was enough to request your absence from the Chandler Tornado. For some reason I think we will be just fine without you. Have a nice day.

Quick Note: I have decided to reduce the entry fees for Chandler. Driving to Bowling Green and back I discoverd just how expenssive gas is right now. And for no other reason than gas being so ridiculously high the fees will be as follows.

Pro (OPEN) - $40

AM - $40

Ladies (multiple divisions if necessary) - $20

Juniors - $20

There are a lot of details about this tournament you can't fit on a **** flyer...YES, there will be a flighted payout just like ALL MY OTHER EVENTS. This eliminates sandbagging and complaining. You shoot your best and see where you end up at the end.

Also, just like the Frizz I will have hole assignments for every round. I do not mind at all if you switch cards/holes with another person as long as you stay on the course you are supposed to play on. I was going to wait to tell everyone this but now seems like a good time to say it. If you want to play golf with your homie (who is in your division) all 4 rounds you can do that. You see, I like to run my tournaments with a little modification to them.

I'm not naming any other names other than Terrill Paske, but I really feel dis-respected by some golfers I thought were my friends including some local guys. I don't like holding grudges but in this case I think I just might.

By all means keep the constructive criticism coming.

MC

So here we go: You guys do not want to miss out on the players packs. You will have a choice of either a disc or a one-of-a-kind Jay Slack product. Obviously children will only get one choice for their players pack, and it's not the Slack one-of-a-kind product :DThanks Jay, you are the bomb!!

Thanks Slack ... Sounds like alot of fun. I like the changes ...

A few questions every good player (obviously not me) can ask themselves:

1) If it isnt sanctioned what difference does it make anyway?

2) If you are good enough to "merch" consistently in advanced why not play open? Or am to advanced or whatever...

3) Does anyone that has played for any length of time need to take plastic out of a new players hands?

4) How many stinking divisions do we need anyway? Maybe they should be based on demand...

-on a side note-
I have never really understood any of the people who could play for cash (and probably do very well), but continue to want to AM it up for the rest of their life. - Im not mentioning any names but if your offended the chances are that you are being spoke of....

That being said ...thank you to the TD's and everyone that will contribute to making this a great event. I only hope MC and Fur (two people I only hear good things about) dont grow weary and leave everyone looking for something else to do next year at this time.

..See everyone in a couple of weeks

Also, MC is very open to properly presented suggestions...
not attacks.

As well as volunteer as much time as you have

Thanks Again MC and Furdog.

As for Kev. I understand that you really believe pro growth will help our sport the most.

Thanks Thong. I'd love to make it, although to be honest I'd rather make it down for a work day. We'll see.

Wish I could move to Tulsa.......

.
.
... that would be too cool ... if possible ... this Saturday(8th) is at Haikey ... Sunday(9th) is at Mohawk ... if you "pop in" with a little help ; you might catch some time to play a round in the later afternoon ...
.
... thanks for thinking about it ...

F-THAT i'm gonna go play this weekend /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I'll just know not to show up at these 2 parks on those days!

Furdog and I met last night and worked out some details with the tye dyed shirts, they will be really cool just like in years past. We can most likely sell them cheaper than last year so don't forget to grab yourself one.

Also, if you want to be a "sponsor" it does not take much $$$ to get your name on the back of the shirt...last year Green was selling sponsorships for around $30.

And don't forget about the custom signs you can purchase have placed on the course for people to read. Furdog has the prices on the signs.

This year as part of the musical entertainment and in a further effort to raise money for the Am Worlds I will be roaming the courses during the rounds with my guitar singing the following # 1 single.

" I yai yai yai.....I am the Frito bandito!"
"Give me a dollar and I'll go away!"
"If you can't spare it then I'll have to stay!"

If that doesn't work then I've got many other annoying top hits on my playlist I can share with you. Surely a four player card could come up with four quarters to send me away to bug someone else's card. ;)

Maybe I'll just save myself the walking part and just go rent a 5000 watt PA system, set it up on the big mound and share my musical stylings with everyone at the same time.

At least until the kegs are gone. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Just a couple of observations.
MC and Furdog are having a Tournament,
..........WITH 1 MONTHS NOTICE..........

I know people don't like change.... but
It would be a huge change if there were

...........NO TOURNAMENT...........

Also, MC is very open to properly presented suggestions...
not attacks.

Thanks MC and Furdog for stepping up to run this....
As well as volunteer as much time as you have
helping put in the new courses,
I know you guys have been there everytime I have been there...
and even more.

Thanks Again MC and Furdog.

As for Kev. I understand that you really believe pro growth will help our sport the most.
We ( the PDGA and its players) may not quite be ready for that yet.
Time will tell who or whom is right.

D.P. :D

WELL PUT DALE.
I'M ALL FOR GROWING THE SPORT..
JUST REMEMBER IT IS A SPORT, AND EVERYONE SHOULD BE PLAYING FOR THE FUN AND LOVE OF THE GAME.
IF THERE WERE MORE SUPPORT AND RESPECT FOR THE PLAYERS, THE GAME WOULD GROW BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS.
SOME OF US ARE NOT PLAYING FOR MONEY. JUST TO PLAY AND HAVE FUN... AND WITH ALL THE FUN I HAVE HAD IN THIS GAME, THE MOST FUN IS BEING ABLE TO WATCH MY SONS ENJOY THE GAME.
SO ALL THAT ENJOY THE GAME DON'T LET MONEY RUIN THE SPORT. PLAY FOR THE FUN OF IT.

Ok....deadline for sponsorship on the t-shirts is Two's-day April 11th. T-shirts are going to print the next day. If you have a logo or something to contribute as a sponsor for this event then contact me now on my cell ( 636-5704). If you are in need of artwork then give me a general idea and I'm sure that I might be able to pull something out of my donkey to suit your needs. Get it together now and I will make it so!!!!

So, did this thread get Rhett-anated? I though it was....

Journey Log: April 10th year unknown

I have been stranded on an island for what I think is nearly 11 days. None of my party has made it ashore, and I fear the worst for them.

I have been satisfied with eating coconut and what tropical fruit I can find. But it will not last.

Two days ago I saw a man on the horizon. Down the beach a little distance from where I lay. And you know it was the hottest part of the day. I could have been seeing things...but for an instant I though it looked a lot like Jerry Garcia. But as I ran toward this mystical figure he faded away into the breeze.

If only I had my skipper here. If the Capitan was here everything would be alright again. Ah yes Captain Commish. Most seaworthy mad I ever knew.

Once, in a bar in a small fishing village in Thailand. The Commish, as he was known throughout the world, was insulted by the town drunk. He told him how he couldnt handle a ship and crew and that "he was a smart kid" but was "still in the learning process".

Needless to say the Commish was angry, and he picked the drunk up and threw him into the sea.
Ahhh well I've written to long now, I think this island sun is getting to me...

See you at Chandlerstock.
