Well we Swedes are a humble people who find it difficult to brag...
For example we do have the most beatiful girls in the world, the best cars you can manufacture, the best music export in the world and now the best "candy" plastic disc you can buy! But we really dont like to talk about it ;) :D
Comments from people who have tried and felt the new OPTO plastic says. Good grip, better than anything else in this segment on the market. The quality and the looks has an edge over everyone else. The OPTO line Vision fly like a Sidewinder but faster and with a good glide.
How about that for bragging :o
Ps. Primitus is discontinued from 2008 and will not be availible in OPTO line Ds.

Hi guys
Here you have some pictures over our very well recieved and reviewed discs in our New Opto-Line plastic. Some of the discs on the pictures is made in what we call Sparkle color. They will be sold under that name in the future.
Infact our new midrange Core is the top seller of all discs in 2008 at one of the largest disc shops in Sweden. It have never happend before that another brand than the "big machine" has top the chart.

The core is the best midrange disc i have thrown, flies very flat, very straight, and with very little fade. And the opto line plastic has an excellent feel. Plus how could you go wrong with sparkles. I ordered one and when it arrived i threw it a bunch of times and got right back on the phone and ordered another.

The core looks like it will be similar to the buzzz so it should be nice in some sparkle plastic. So what's up with the Vision? It is very understable considering the company producing it is aimed at more advanced players.
Basically is anyone throwing LAT 64 over there using it?

Vision Opto is an understable driver good for 9/10 people if they like a good turn-over disc with lots of glide. Our company policy isnt to make discs only for the advanced player. Infact this is what we write on our website. Latitude 64 has a vision of standing in the midst of the sport we all love, and to make products that will please all. We will make Discs that are reliable, durable and easy to control.

I can add our description of the Vision from our website too
Developed to suit beginners and amateurs. It has an understable flightpath and a good glide. The Opto Line plastic makes it reliable and durable under all circumstances. It can also be used as a roller by more advanced players. This is the driver of choice for players who throw up to 350ft.

So how does the Core fly? Where does it sit in terms of stability and fade? It kind of looks like a Breeze...
We rate the Core as a +0.5 at the stability scale. If you throw it with a good release (no flutter etc.) it will fly dead straight with very little fade at the end. This is based on a 330 feet throw, in calm conditions.
This is quotes from players who have tried the Core (players from the states)
*** I threw the core about 5-7 times in my backyard after i received it today My yard it about 275 end to end, and i would say i was throwing about 265-270 with it easily. Thrown flat the disc held a nice straight line with good glide, and little fad at the end. just as described. Definitely going to be an addition to my bag after a few round with it. Plus i love the OPTO plastic and can't wait to see the mirus and the spike in the same plastic.
*** Got a change to rip the Opto core. Overall its a nice disc. It handles power very well. I got a sparkle yellow and its been a lil tuff to find in the grass. It has a nice feel and has a glide similar to a beat roc.
*** I played in this past weekend's 2008 Philly Open and the Core found it's way right into my bag after one practice round with it. The core helped my Capture 2-3 birdies off the tee. Great disc. Straight as anything with very very very little fade at all.

C'mon, just say its, its ok...it looks like a Buzzz, and it sounds like it flies like a Buzzz. Definetely prettier than most Buzzzes...I'm not going to go out of my way to procure one, but I will throw it first chance I get. These should SELL very well and be useable for all skill levels. Thanks Lat 64 for getting in the ring with this one! Now there will be another stable premium plastic midrange on the market for a price that Innova has nothing to match!

oops, forgot to post.... First Discspeed, I know you have DiscPlasticoliosis, and that is like a tape worm, it needs fed frequently... grab one of these discs and try it. at worst you have a sick sparkle for the wall. at best it will be in your bag like mine is...
The super sweet sparkle core is in my bag and I threw it a ton at the Ironwood tourney last weekend with lots of success. (wish the rest of my game had success :o)
its a straighter buzz. IMO, not as fast, however, just as far D wise.
exactly how you throw it is how it flies.
It has NO fade. This disc drops down only a few feet off of its straight line once speed is lost.
in wind and when throwing with full power, throw a small amount of hyzer on it and the Core will flip up and hold the line without flipping.
Anyhyzers do not come back around to stable and fade out, they just keep going on the anny line.
I can say I am definitely purchasing more for backups. I dont see this disc leaving my bag any time soon. I really do like it in all aspects.. grip, flight, durability, even appearance.
Thus, I would say if you LOVE Buzzzes this disc PROBABLY wont give you anything different, however, with that said I do love Buzzes and the Core is now in my bag. take all that for whats its worth.

I finally got to field test the Core in Opto plastic. I was impressed from the first throw. Right off the bat, it was raining, and the champion-like plastic is slightly gummy and grippier than Champ or Z. Throwing nose nuetral, I was really laying into it and it flew dead straight. Its not overstable, but is very resistant to turning and turning-over. It never once turned over and didnt really fade when it slowed down. It holds lines really well and just seems to get out a long way in a hurry. I can't tell if it was the glide or the speed, but I was throwing it farther than some of my overstable drivers. This disc is definately going in the bag. I haven't thrown Buzzz's in a while, but from other's descriptions, this seems to fly similar to what I've heard about 1st Run Buzzz's. I throw Comets and I would describe this disc as a less nose-sensitive Z-Comet that you can really lay into and get a straight flight without worrying about flipping it over. I am really impressed with disc and the plastic.

Oct 13 2008, 04:27 PM
The measurement is similar to a Wraith but with a more tilted inner rim which gives it a better smoother grip, especially for players who dont have monster hands. The flight is overstable and the disc have a lot of speed. Very good for low hard shots!

Oct 22 2008, 02:27 PM
Hi
Discgolfcenter took the describing text from an interview we posted on our website. The interviewed guy, Daniel Strandberg likes to roll with overstable discs and also have the arm to do it. If you read Tomas description of the flight above you can see that it is overstable. With lots of power it will turn up a little bit and then go fast and straight. I guess the best way to find out is to buy one ;)

Not as overstable as the XCal.

I doubt it. Those are sick stable and have a wider rim than a Wraith.
dgdave
Oct 23 2008, 04:11 PM
That's what someone else said, but the one I got is so workable. Its almost like a faster Teebird that's a bit easier to turn. Its a supur long and straight disc. I was tossing it today with a 25 mph L to R tailwind and was out driving my bosses on a tighter line. In no wimd my bosses are longer, but the DD is more consistant.
Anyway, back to the Roit, I think I'll be getting one when I get paid. Is the inner rim hard to get a consistant release?
dgdave
Oct 23 2008, 04:13 PM
Also, what's the purpose of the tilted inner rim?
dgdave
Oct 23 2008, 04:34 PM
Is it to add weight to the wing to make it more gyroscopic without making a wider wing?
Paavo
Oct 24 2008, 06:08 AM
I haven't thrown my Riot a lot but the rim configuration seems good to me, feels like it's a bit easier to release. And it's a great disc on low straight lines.
david64
Oct 26 2008, 12:15 PM
Also, what's the purpose of the tilted inner rim?
The purpose of the tilted inner rim is to make it much more delicate to hold in your hand, the release will be smoother, the blisters will not build up because of the wide rim. More people can fit their fingers around the rim, it actually feels less wide.
Sum: Great grip, great disc

Last week PDGA approved XXX
XXX is our new extra overstable control driver. XXX is sincerely a disc for the "big guns" and not for children. As already said its overstable, its a headwind driver, its a hurricane season driver, its a disc you will love to have when you need to bomb over something, its a disc you can rely on in any condition, it will do its job every day! XXX will be released in our well received OPTO line plastic early in 2009. Do you have the power to shine with an X-rated disc? If so, good for you!

Apr 08 2009, 11:04 AM
The Striker and XXX are AWESOME discs. The Striker is like a seasoned Champ Teebird, but slightly faster and more glide. It doesn't handle wind as good as a teebird. I was getting about 20 extra feet from the Striker.
The XXX was very similar to a Pred. Not as overstable as an Xtreme as I'd thought it would be.
The plastic is some of the best in the business.
RhynoBoy
Apr 08 2009, 11:47 AM
I threw the Striker quite a bit the last couple days. I also think that it flies much like my teebirds, but if thrown hard or into the wind when flat, it will turn.
Vision is pretty flippy. it is more understable than my used star roadrunner. But its very fast too.
Riot is good and overstable, much like a firebird. This disc never flipped for me. I threw it into some pretty good 25mph+ headwinds. Very flat, reminds me of the feel of an 11x FB
dgdave

Interesting. Thanks for the update.
I got a Striker from a friend that went to the BG AMS. I've only thrown it a couple of times but so far I like it. Similar to an Assassin for me from what I have seen with two throws. May turn out different after I have thrown in different conditions.
