Alright, VPO time is upon us!!!!!!!

I am headed out to run the last minute errands and then will be at the park. Should be great weather all weekend and some very fun rounds of golf!!! Andrew will be working on some of the old holes to clear some area's, but allot of it is going to be in the rough. We will not string a yellow rope on hole c as the city has not been mowing that area like they used to. It will be tough enough from the tee area (which will not be the pad, I would have to cut the entire tree down in order to open it up enough) to get over the tree's.

If you have any questions you can reach me at 817-690-1077.

Lets not start rumors about Waco/Texas States.

Joey wanted to take a step back, anyone who has ever run an event as large as he has knows how much work it is. He will still be running a great event, just it will not be a NT event next time.

Joey, Nez and the PDGA have been talking about this for a while. Don't forget, it was Nez who got Waco to go NT as it is.

Darn it! I woke up this morning hoping it was Saturday....hoping that the VPO that i participated in was just a bad dream.

Had a great time while suck..ing. Couldn't have played with a better group of friends......Kitner, Payne, Rameriaz, Brumit, Garder, Flesner, Rose and Pennington.

One thing is for sure. Nobody on this message board has a truer name than Pennington...AKA...."Codage' " I would forget who i was playing with at times...is it Coda, or is it Codage'. Good times!!!!! Already looking forward to the 16th annual. :D

Great job Toolen, ADGA, & Staff.

Nov 07 2005, 10:42 AM
Uh.............

Was this the 14th or 15th annual VPO?

The artwork and discs say 15th, but on the PDGA tour link and schedule it says 14th. :D

What a great event to be a part of. Speaking from the side of "Staffer, Spotter, Errand Boy" all I can say is this was awesome. I felt bad that we didn't find one disc in time to avoid a penalty stroke for one golfer this year. We didn't find his disc until much later in the round. We had five people in the trees looking for this one disc for 20 - 25 minutes during the only gap in play and couldn't find it. Brandon found it when someone else threw onto the same spot. I've been spotting at the bottom of hole 8 for four years now and we have only lost one disc (Sorry JD) and now this one player got a stroke because we didn't find it in time. I guess those aren't bad odds.

Big thanks to all of the players for coming out but I especially wanted to congratulate all of the local "advanced" golfers that stepped up to play open this weekend. There were a few and I'm impressed by you all. Great job!

Congratulations to all of winners.

We hope to see you next year!.

Brian
