this is one of if NOT the biggest payout for a B-tier in TEXAS. so don't miss out. Alot of work has been taking place on the course and we will continue to do more. I will let V fill you in on more news but the gaol is to have a permanent 21 hole layout and are doing our best to have concrete tee pads.

Hey Vinnie, I plan on making this event always a fun tournament, and the course is awesome. I have a quick "?" Is it up to the TD as far as what the payout is or is it determined by what tier the tournament is. I read you are doing 100% + payout to top 1/3 for the Open. Which I think is great. I have been to several tournaments where the payout is top 1/2 in the Open...Just curious...If anyone else knows the answer I'll read. Thanks alot....See U N Roundrock Vinnie.....peace..

Aug 13 2005, 04:41 PM
Couple of questions...
-any word on the concrete tee pads??? Vinnie, if you get this done, a shrine will be built in you honor!
-correct me if I'm wrong. The old hole 11 is now considered 12 due to the extra hole inserted between old 10 and old 11. This would then make old holes 12-15 now 13-16. Two added holes would then follow making them #17 and 18. Old 16 would then become #19, old 17 is now #20, and old 18 is now #21?
-where's the teebox for the "new" #17 (to the new basket down in the drainage area that's wide open). Will it be on the ****?
Just a little confused....
disctance00
Aug 13 2005, 05:08 PM
Don't be confused Jon...it goes sumthin like this.
after 10 it is 10A,then after 13 it is 13B,after 15 it is 15C.
I'm probably wrong on the exact hole numbers but the existing holes are not going to change as far as I know.
What up Rockers looking forward to playing some Texas DG again, the ROCK on Sunday hurry up!!!!!!!
seewhere
Aug 13 2005, 09:02 PM
okay it goes like this. 10, 10a,11,12, 13, 14 15 than 15a which is off the dam by the bush. than 15B (not cart friendly) than walk back up the dam to 16,17,18. your #' ing is correct that 16=18 17=20 18=21. 21 HOLES at the ROCK best score I have heard in dubs is -4 59.
so after 15A walk towards 16 leave the cart up top take your bag and putt out on 15A than play back towards your cart. only way I see a cart being used.
seewhere
Aug 14 2005, 08:15 PM
-4 is still the best. All I can say is you better be in good shape for allot of golf and Texas heat.

Yeah, I want to look at this throw. If it looks challenging, but doable, I'll add $50. If it looks impossible, I'll add $100. :p
However, you need to set up some criteria: have throws/rounds where people alternate, and the first person gets the cash. If two or more people get it in the same round, then they split.
All in all, if it appears that the shot is hard enough to warrant a bounty, I'll add $50. Any others? I'm sure Vinnie the carny operator will deal in smaller contributions.
vinnie
Aug 18 2005, 01:10 PM
looked at it last night and it will take a 700' + FLAT throw to get over.

But James give me a $100 for each one that doesn't!

Hey Vinnie I am sending in my registration in a day or so and don't think it's a mistake that I signed up for MM1. It's not.
Can you tell me if there is a motel close to the course that's somewhat affordable? (cheap!). Will be coming in sometime Friday P.M.
Trying to get some of these other Temple folks to sign up but you know how they are!!! :D
Have you talked to Rocco to see if our club has anything to donate? Knowing Rocco it got spent on Train Wreck funds, or investing with Big Hate, or paying Missy for the blackmail. :D

seewhere
Aug 29 2005, 06:05 PM
dont hold me to this but I think it is:
3 rounds of 21 than a final 9 with a safari SKINS 9 for top 4 OPEN., should be LOTS O FUN
Anyone looking to watch the OU / TCU game is in luck. I will have a canopy with chairs, cooler full of cold drinks and a t.v. with the game on which starts at 11. We should be able to catch most of it and we likely won't need to watch it 'til the end.
Vinnie, My friend owns Roly Poly, a franchised wrapped sandwiches shop down on campus, and will give us a good deal on wraps for the tournament. If we want him to set up a tent, we should contact him today to give him time to get an employee signed up to run the booth. Call me at 565-0739 if you're interested.

that depends on the answer to the question a few posts up...if yes, then I probably will have to work pretty hard to win. Also, if I can manage to NOT take a 10 on hole 16 during the final 9, which pretty much sealed up not winning last year.

Flex start from 3pm - 5:15/5:30, 21 hole format, must have atleast 4 teams to make a division, $20 a team ams - $30 a team pros, no whiners, no whimps (light may become an issue for late comers). I will light the BBQ around 8 and all donations will be cooked at that time - again no whiners. I will have Outlaw entry forms and will be happy to take your money (I mean sign-up) then. He will also have chips and cookies. I assume 11 is a good time, please let me know if we expect the first round to get over after 1... the wraps will be in coolers and we don't want them to spoil.

#4 will have a ob pond in the middle and a ob line from the side walk to the road (keeping everyone inside)
# 10 has a ob rope down the hyser line.
