A big ol' Texas "Howdy" to everybody, I'm Park Jarrett, the owner and operator of TPCC. Tennessee born and bred, I came to Austin via an eight year stint in Los Angeles. I apologize about the delay in posting, but I've been going crazy over here with trying to get this place up and running. With help from our members, disc golf and mountain bike enthusiasts, and Waterloo Disc Golf club, we're getting closer and closer to achieving our dreams of a top-notch country club. I've also been fortunate enough to be able to surround myself with an excellent course pro in Justin Landers, and the best international events director that I've ever met in Chris Himing.
With these productive additions to the Twin Parks team, I'm confident that at $200.00 a year, TPCC membership is a comparitive steal. After tomorrow, Jan. 18th, We will have 59 of our 82 tee pads completed; Parkshire being finished and Park Hill only lacking the Ace and Championship tees. We are laying carpet this week and expect to be able to start stocking merchandise (hopefully) by our first tournament, The Romeo Round-up, on February the 12th. The tourney is just a little social gathering designed to reaquaint our old members with our new facilities, and introduce TPCC to those who haven't had a chance to make it out here yet. I'm trying to keep on my web guy about updating our pictures, so keep tuning in to TwinParksCountryClub.com for the latest developments.
I'm really excited about what's ahead for us in 2005 and hope that I've piqued enough interest to warrant a visit. I'm absolutely certain that anyone who gets a chance to experience the beauty of the Texas Hill Country and our challenging Himing/Landers designed courses will have no problem investing in our future. Just give me a call at 512-796-3075, and I'll set you up a tee time and you can play your first round as my guest for free.

Sincerely,
Park Jarrett
CEO TPCC

"you can play your first round as my guest for free." This does sound familiar. I was going to visit but I could not make it the weekend my group wanted to go. Everyone helped around the park and still got charged full price. I am sure it is a great place to play but I think I will wait until the park is finished and the price goes down if that ever happens. Sorry Park, just to far for me to drive for the price. Get those photos up, cant wait to see the additions.

Don't come down on him so quick Mike- did your buddies tell Park it was their first visit? We did when we had large group, and were not charged one cent. Plus, Park himself gave us a full tour of the clubhouse, and main house- and let me tell you, my mouth was gaping open the whole time. TPCC is what I dream of if I were to hit the lotto. This is going to be a world-class facility, and we are lucky to have it so close (too far mike? what is it, 35 minutes from your apartment???).

I for one appreciate the efforts going into this place, and I hope to get to play it often. Marking my calendar for that first tourney...What are the chances of divisional winners gettin a membership ;) ??

Well said Josh. Things out here are moving along well and on a daily basis things are getting done. I am sure Park will be glad to hear you had a great time.

For anyone that has any idea about what it takes to build something like Twin Parks will be patient and appreciative. Something people like Grunion need to remember that TPCC has only been open a few months. If this much has been built and completed in a few months what will the next year hold?

What Park did not mention is that if you do live more than 50 miles from TPCC then the yearly membership is only $50. :)

As for you Josh since I hear you won a Advanced tournament I think if you win a Pro event here we can talk memberships :D

I will post info on the 1st little get together mini on Feb 12 in the next day or so. It will be a fun one round deal with free lunch, free drinks, and no greens fees either. A fun day to play and enjoy TPCC.

Back later,
Chris

!) I am not coming down on anyone.
2)Yes, they did tell them it was there first visit.
3)Might be a world class facility, I do not doubt that., but I am not going to pay $200 to use it for a year if it is 35 minutes or 3 minutes away.
4) Maybe the solution is to also advertise the daily green fees.
5) I am sure everyone that visits will be happy with the resort.
6) Not sure everyone will be happy with the membership fees.

Maybe its just me, I don't know. Can you please tell me why your asking for a free membership if you would be happy to pay to play? I am not dissing the park or his business. I am just relaying an opinion of price and convenience. Obviously you have to agree to some point, otherwise you would'nt have asked for the freebie.

All I stated is the fact that I am going to wait till the park is finished or the price goes down(if it ever does) before I personally contemplate purchasing a membership. It is not to far from my house, just to far for the price. I hope this cleared things up.

I just think you open your mouth before finding out some facts about the place. ;)
Have you been to the website? They have daily green fees available without forking over the membership dues. However- membership has its privileges. I would love to have a membership, but will likely pay green fees when I go to play, which is no big deal.

I realize that "all you stated..." was your skepticism, but your tone was obvious. My point is to not diss a place like this until you have given it a fair chance. Say positive things- not negative. What is the point to point out things you don't like so quickly? You made the second post to the thread- with your recent DISCussion experiences, I thought it would be more suitable for you to come across as supporting something as big and unique as a disc golf country club.

Just my opinion...To each his own.

Its all about the marketing bro. I am not doubting the potential of this resort. I just think the local membership is high. I doubt I live 50 miles from the park so this does not apply to me. However this should deffinately be included in the marketing with the daily greens fees.

The only way to find out what can make consumers happy is to hear there input. If everyone gets blasted for trying to recognize issues that deal with them, then nothing will be resolved. I just want to see the park prosper like everyone else. Until these issues are recognized I cannot lend a helping hand. I have alot of usefull resources and beleive I can benifit the techno side of things but that is in a future chapter. First we have to recognize the problems at hand and then work on a resolution if there are any feasible.

Sorry for coming off like a jerk in the beginning but I dont have time to sugar coat.

Since Park doesn't spend too much time on the computer I will make the announcements on two subjects.

1) I am now a full time employee (well 4 or 5 days a week anyway) at Twin Parks. In the coming few weeks I will be moving to live upstairs in the Clubhouse. Anyone want to buy the Outback?

2) Greens fees as confirmed yesterday are this: $2 per day for members and $10 per day for non-members.

If you have any concerns or suggestions Park is always available to listen to you.

The mini and open house on Feb 12 will not have any greens fees and will include free lunch and drinks. Come out and see for yourself what the deal is. Camping will be available with use of the clubhouse showers and bathrooms.

Info on the mini will be posted Thursday when I get back out there.

The website is in the process of being updated with photos and mountain bike info. I will let you all know when that happens.

Thanks
Chris

Jan 18 2005, 08:51 PM
a membership to TPCC is exactly $16 a month for one year.

+ $2 per visit.

Which comes to $240 if you play 20 times per year.

If you pay the $10 non-member fee, you could play up to 23 times per year and still come out ahead.

For me, there is no way I would make it out there twice a month. And I only live 20 miles away.

As an active tournament player, I play in tournaments on almost half of the weekends of the year.

During the week, I work. And with non-day light savings affecting 5 months of the year, that rules out playing after work from November to April.

I'd really like to support this enterprise, 'cuase I think it's going to be a great thing. And I will support it via 10-15 daily fee visits this year, exculding any/all tournaments.

But it's just not economically feasible for me.

Which raises another question: during tournament play, will $10 of every entry fee (non-members) go towards green fees, similar to the $5 greens fee to play at Wimberley?

ozdisc
Jan 18 2005, 09:03 PM
Rooster in regards to greens fees during tournaments at Twin Parks I don't think Park will be charging them at all. I have to confirm this but he understands the exposure from a large event and a free greens fee event is worth the cost to draw a huge crowd as will happen during the Texas 10's. I will let you know.

Don't forget Twin Parks is more than just 2 courses. As a member you will have full access to clubhouse, and all the facilities in it. Discounts in the pro shop etc etc.

On Thursday I will post all the info on the Feb 12 mini. I encourage everyone to come and play (no greens fee) and show your support for this great place. Park will be there and would love to hear all your thoughts, ideas and suggestions.

More news and pictures soon.

Thanks

I will email you the membership privledges later Frank. I am in San Marcos now and will be at TPCC on the weekend.

Family memberships are 150% of the single fee. So that means $75 for a traveling family membership.

There will be 2 rooms for rent upstairs in the clubhouse. Both rooms will feature TV, satellite programs, and internet connections. A private bathroom will serve these rooms as well. The games room off the bedrooms will have a pool table, big screen TV, poker tables, and a bar. These are in addition to all the downstairs facitlites.

I am not sure how much these rooms will rent for but will let you know once that price is worked out.

See you soon Frank. :D

Josh, I have to admit that your Jedi mind trick almost worked, but something snapped me out of it at the last second, I don't know what it was...but keep trying, I'm sure soon enough you'll be grat at it.

About the Romeo Round-Up, here's what I'm thinking...It's the Saturday before Valentine's Day, right? You've probably (if your seeing someone, that is) got to do something special with the significant other, right? Unless your one of those rare and fortunate couples who both love to play Disc Golf with each other every weekend, you're probably out of luck, right? Wrong! That's where Twin Parks comes in. We're "date-friendly". We encourage you to bring those golf widow and widowers. Our club house has plenty of stuff to keep them busy. What's that? Hows about some big screen televisions, huh? With satellite so you won't miss your shows? How about a pool table? A ping-pong table? A restaurant? A pro shop with all the very latest disc golf fashions from Milan, London and Dripping Springs? Wow them with your obvious style and class when you tell the TPCC chef to "put it on my account". Tres chic, mon amis, tres chic. So, get a little romance back into your golf game and make our Round-up full of love by being there. See you on the course, I'm the guy in the mule...

ozdisc
Jan 30 2005, 05:52 PM
Good question, I have been waiting to explain.

In order to get a true feel of the scores that the course will produce everyone will play the Pro Tees on Parkshire. This will allow me to gauge how they play relative to different divisions.

Maybe next mini we will play all the Championship boxes, then the Ace tees.

By the time of Texas 10 in May I will then have a feel for which tees each division should play.

Does that sound correct?

This section was added about four years ago as a supplement to the basic PDGA course design guidelines www.pdga.com/makecrse.php (http://www.pdga.com/makecrse.php)

From what it sounds like, your Championship could maybe be Gold, Pro-Blue and Ace could be White or Red depending on lengths but you're on the right track as it is.

TEE COLOR RECOMMENDATIONS:
Here are the recommended color guidelines to identify different sets of tees on courses with more than one set of permanent tees. The tee colors getting progressively longer are: RED, WHITE then BLUE. These colors are already widely used on our existing courses and parallel the most common sequence in golf.

On courses with two sets of tees, any two color pairs can be used. However, typically Blue is used on the longest set of tees on an 18-hole course, especially if they are over 6000 feet. Likewise, Red is typically used on the shortest set of tees on an 18-hole course especially if they are under 4500 feet. These are suggestions, not hard and fast rules.

On courses where most holes have two tees and several have just one, recommend marking these single tees with both colors used. Likewise, on courses where some holes have three tees, some two tees and some one tee, recommend using all three tee colors on the single tee holes. On the dual tee holes, decide whether the longer tee should be blue and white or the shorter tee should be white and red.

Sometimes temporary longer tees are marked for tournaments. If the longest permanent tees are already marked Blue, recommend using GOLD to mark this temporary set of even longer championship tees. If these temporary championship tees eventually become permanent, it's okay to use Gold rather than shift all of the other tee colors just so Blue would now be on the longest set of permanent tees.

Course pros are encouraged to move toward these guidelines when the opportunity presents itself for new installations, redesigns or course upgrades.

The weather has been a problem out here for the last 2 weeks. The road and area in front of the clubhouse is ready to have road base applied when ever it dries a little more. In the mean time it is a nice big flat piece of mud. The contruction guys has graders and rollers here ready to go as soon as it dries a little.

For anyone that saw the place a week ago would not recognise it right now. All the contruction trash is gone and the land ready to be landscaped. Hole 18 near the clubhouse is having a island green built right now from the dirt moved to level the road. It will look awesome.

The course however is in good shape and very playable. I may even sneak away to play this Saturday as well. Time for me to confirm the course record. :D

Due to the weather and work days in Austin and UC I am unsure of numbers but whoever comes out will still have a fun day. Lunch will still be catered BBQ from a local business and drinks will be served.

Any questions or whatever just ask.

Thanks
Chris

I am here all day Friday and the weekend.

I feel like we are in an episode of "Extreme House Makeover" with all the workers everywhere and time deadlines.

Garzi the 9 point buck has been feeling frisky this week so watch your backs. Don't feed him unless you want him to follow you the whole round.

60% chance of rain showers from 9am to 9pm. High is the mid 50's with a 5mph south wind advancing to 10-15 mph in the afternoon. Looks like those concrete tee pads are gonna kick bootay! Rain or shine it will be fun. Lets hope mother nature looks down upon the golfers and smiles. :D

Feb 12 2005, 08:54 PM
First round I scored a +17 on the Parkshire course. The freaking wind was brutal to play in. I know J Reading took the first round with -3. The next best score I heard of was Blair with even. Second round doubles there was a pair sitting at -3, next was even followed by +2. I scored +3 playing with a guy named Kansas. From what I heard there were alot of 3's

G'day Everyone. Just wanted to let you know that the next one round mini at Twin Parks will be on Saturday, March 12. This is the same weekend as World Pro Doubles. Check in time will be 1-2pm with tee off at 2:30pm.

This mini will have the Pro's and Advanced playing the Park Shire Championship tees while the Intermediate, Rec and Women playing the Ace Tees. We will see how scores are on those.

After March we hope to have mini's every Saturday afternoon. We may even do late starts (6pm) so we miss the heat a little and everyone can stay over and eat, drink, and enjoy the clubhouse as it gets finished. Hopefully by then all the solar lights will be installed on Park Shire so a night doubles league can start either on the Saturday or mid-week.

If you haven't been to Twin Parks yet you are missing out. Come out for a tour and see what it's all about.

Thanks
Chris

Golf carts? Lazy Ba%(^^y%.

Tee 4 on Park Shire is likely to stay the same for a while. It's still a fun shot with the mistake and not that much different to the line I intended. A tree line however will be done.

Yesterday the Ace tees were poured on the Parkhill. I haven't been over to see them but once the clubhouse is done we will start to spend time working on that course in time for a HUGE Texas 10 here.

I am still the Table Tennis Champion! Bring it boys and girls. :D

Steady's Grill is getting close. All the restaurant equipment is on the way. Steaks anyone?

Good news if you like Mountain Biking and don't have a bike. A major mountain bike manufacturer KONA is getting us $25,000 worth of bikes for people to use/rent/break limbs on. For those that know that is 10 bikes. These babies are awesome and not your average bike. Only the best here.

Back to work. :D

Twin Parks Country Club
March Mini

Saturday, March 12th
Signup before 2:30pm
Tee off 3pm

Come out and enjoy the day at Twin Parks and see what all the changes are. Hole 18 on Park Shire has had a massive amount of rock moved in to make an island green that looks awesome. Things are happening everyday, and everyday this place just gets better and better. Most of the shorter Ace tees are now poured on Parkhill and it is proving to be a fun course up and down the hill. We just need to remove a few more cedars and it will be all go.

The bedrooms are now furnished and available to rent for the night. Give us a call if you would like to reserve a room for anytime this year.

Steadys Grill will be ready to serve by the mini date. Corey Mathews has left his position as chef at the Austin Omni and is now on staff as Head Chef at Twin Parks. As the kitchen gets fully complete look for a full menu all expertly cooked and served by Corey. Personally I am looking forward to the Grilled Shrimp.

Dont forget about the new $20 per month membership deal if you live within 50 miles of Twin Parks. Cheaper than a gym membership and with more facilities including 2 great 18 holes course and awesome mountain bike trails. Its still $50 per year if you live more than 50 miles away.

Last month everyone teed off from the Pro tees. This month everyone will be playing the Park Shire course again but here are the tee locations.

Pros and Advanced Championship tees

Hello folks. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Corey Mathews. Most of you already know me or have seen me around at the local courses, or out here at the club. For those who don't, you will soon. I have just came aboard here full time and I expect to be serving food here very soon. Unfortunetly, since construction still has my hands tied, I will be starting with a limited menu, but will be expanding as work progresses. I'm always open to any suggestions for things you'd like to see on the menu. I know steaks were mentioned. Sorry, but they're not gonna be on the menu just yet. However, if any groups make plans to come out, and you call me with enough notice, I can have steaks prepared for you when you come out. For the time being, I hope to see everyone here on the 12th, and there will be food and drinks available for purchase. Sorry guys, we can't give it away for free at every mini :) See you there...feel free to post with any questions.

Intermediate and Rec Ace tees
Ladies Ace tees

The course record for the Ace tees is only -7 which I am sure will be beaten soon. All but one hole from the Ace tees is reachable. The Championship Tees are another story. Anyone shooting under par will be playing lights out.

G'day Everyone,

The Clubhouse at Twin Parks is coming along well. Here are a few pictures I took over the weekend.
www.discgolfpromotions.com/tpcc.htm (http://www.discgolfpromotions.com/tpcc.htm)

This Saturday and Sunday will be a big day. We have a mountain bike event that will attract anywhere from 100 to 250 riders from all over. KONA is bring there demo trailer for everyone to try out the latest bikes on Saturday then the racing starts on Sunday.

If you haven't seen the trails here come out on the weekend and watch these guys get crazy and spill some blood, it should be fun.

More news later,
Chris

For those of you that don't know KONA IS THE ABSOLUTE SHIZZNET IN MOUNTAIN BIKES. I have been to TPCC and I can say the Mountain Bike Courses are BIGGGGG willy style for sure. Anytime you have the Fox Racing Team lining up to shred your sheesh thats the POOP! If you are a golfer and want to be treated to some Stump Jumpin, Ground Pounding Real life sheesh that looks like the Downhill Mountain Bike Playstation 2 Video Game...TPCC is your place for sure. :D
If you are a Disc Golfer and want to get rocked by a Mountain Course, Play an Elk filled Meadow, Get whooped at Ping Pong or order a gourmet meal while golfing...Then TPCC is DEFINATELY your place. I can tell you from experience...THAT WAS THE BEST BUTTERFLIED CHICKEN BREAST STUFFED WITH MUSHROOMS AND VENICEN THAT I HAVE EVER HAD AT A DISC GOLF COURSE (or any place for that matter) :D
Place is looking great can't wait to return!!! Golf Vs Disc Golf Challenge Baby!!!!!

...and who would do the whooping Joe? Coda may have tied me on the short Shire tees but I detroyed him in ping pong.

I forget to mention that Fox Racing are also sponsors of the weekends event. Already have some very cool giveaways. This place must be okay if the FOX sales rep is helping work on the track.

The KONA bikes are awesome. These are the same ones we will have for rent. KONA is bringing the HUGE demo trailer. Did anyone see the full color ad in the Austin Chronical on Friday?

Chris,

This is one of the most enjoyable threads on the message board, period. The visions a person gets in their head from the descriptions and list of available amenities make this seem like one of best things to happen to disc golf in Texas. Of course, we've all come to expect nothing less from you.

I'm so happy for you and so impressed by you and Park both for doing this the right way.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to come out to see it yet, but I have an idea for my first trip out.

The City Manager in Llano, where I work now, has mentioned to me several times that he is interested in putting a disc golf course in a future park development in town. He's talked to me about designing the course (which of course I would be thrilled to collaborate with you on) and other aspects of the game and its impact on parks, tourism, etc.

He's played once before (McKenzie in Lubbock, I think) but I think it would be a great idea to drag him out to TPCC to see what you guys are doing out there, especially since there are different sets of tees for different levels.

I'll let you know if I can line this visit up and then we can impress him. ;)

Keep up the great work.

(Besides, its about time I shut you up about all this ping pong nonsense. You can't handle my serve, but I'll let you try.)

Great photos Chris! Wow!!!

No doubt about it...I'm gonna have to give serious consideration into looking for work up in the Austin area! I gotta live closer to this stuff!

I'm gonna throw my GT mountain bike in the truck next trip up there and check this place out on my next climbing trip! I thought I'd found Nirvana when I could climb on Saturday and play Circle-R on the way back on Sunday, now I'm gonna have to figure out a way to take 3-day weekends so I can climb, golf AND mountain bike!!! Sheesh! Give some of us workin' saps a break will ya? :D

Seriously, are there directions posted up-thread someplace? I get up that way 1-2 times a month...

Thanks Vinnie. I am taking a lot of personal pride in the design and the building of that course.

We had 11 players come out with 6 pros and 5 ams. Justin just beat Vinnie and myself by 1 shot on the Pro tees. Mr.Bogeyman Park won in a playoff in Ams from the Ace tees.

After last night we have decided to hold mini's every Monday night from now on. This allows us not to conflict with any other Austin minis. Once Monday night football starts the clubhouse with the big screens will be the perfect place to hang out and watch the game and eat at Steady's. I will post more info later about the Monday night deals.

so next monday is the first mini?

ozdisc
Apr 08 2005, 06:20 PM
That's right, every Monday from now on.

I am thinking of these prices but may change as we go along.

Last signup at 6:15pm
Tee off at 6:30pm

Am's $5 (merch payout)
Pro's $8 (cash payout)

$3 Optional ace pot (carry over from week to week)
$2 Course fee

So as an Am that would be a total of $10 with the ace pot and as a Pro $13 with the ace pot.

On Monday Night Mini's we will experiment with $2 course fees after 5pm if you are playing in the mini. If not then the usual prices apply. We aim at showing everyone just how cool this place is. Once you come out and experience it you will want to become a member.

After every mini we will have hot, freshly cooked food and cold drinks.

The more people the more exposure, the more things we can get for the members that come out. Monday night mini, hot food, poker and pool (soon) along with football later in the year.

On Monday nights the place to be will be at Twin Parks.

The ladies that I have played with and still do occasionally don't really have the bug the same way that I do. They enjoy it, but at this time have not felt the desire to get to a point that they would be able to compete. I mostly end up playing with guys, either that I meet when I go out alone or one of my friends, if they are available. It's just tough not knowing any other women that are competitive with me. I'm not trying to brag at all! It's just that I truly want to continue to improve and eventually compete in a tourny.

Anyway, thanks for the invite to play with you Vinny. I may take you up on that, if I can get out of work in enough time to get there before 6:15 tonight!

And that goes for anyone..I enjoy sharing my experiences with disc golf and find it very fulfilling watching a player improve their skills and what better place than THE CLUB. Many times I have scheduled sharing my time with a golfer at a public park, only to be joined by other golfers. This defeats the purpose of one on one golf and THE CLUB offers the opportunity for sharing

It was fun. No food this time but on Saturday Corey will be firing up the grill for everyone.

Vinnie was on pace to set the Pro Tee record all the way until "Black Friday" where he took a 5 again. Going into the last hole he was -4 which is one better than the record. Bogey 4 on the short 18th cost him the lone record. I finished a beaten and tired 2 shots back.

This Saturday will be fun. One of our newest members Michelle came out and played and did excellent. She will give many of the other girls a run for their money come Saturday.

I attempted the downhill last night but the passenger wasn't leaning in to the corners well so we lost valuable time :D

The Twin Parks Monday night mini is on again tonight. Signin before 6:15 and tee off at 6:30pm.

After the round we will have big new hand made 1/2 pound burgers ready to eat. All the other menu items will be available as well. Even some CFO's.

Come out and enjoy the evening at Twin Parks. If anyone wants a ping pong lesson come on out :D

Thanks

I got to make it to this place for the first time Sunday. All I have to say is AWESOME. Way more than I expected. Played the Hill course and had some lunch, cooled off and had to get back to Victoria due to work. This place is great and I think everyone should become a member and check it out for sure. I would like to thank Kacie for hooking us up with lunch and cold drinks. It was much needed after that hot long round on the hill. You guys have done a great job with this place.. Keep it up.

I was planning on heading to Houston to practice the Spring Valley course, but now I'm not leaving till tomorrow morning. So, if it's possible, I was hoping to come out to Dripping Springs and getting in a few rounds of practice...

Things are coming together nicely thanks to the hard work of Danielle and Laura. At the moment we have around 15-18 ladies coming to join in the fun on Saturday.

Don't forget this is a fun day out for the ladies to show others how to play disc golf, relax with friends, have a nice meal, drinks and swim. Sounds like fun girls?

If you would like to join the Texas Outdoor Womens Netwok, Ladies of Live Oak and guests please contact Danielle Vargas or myself so we can expect you.

I will not be running this event or getting in the way. Chef Corey and I will be serving lunch and drinks and letting the girls do what they want at Twin Parks.

See all you ladies Saturday bright and early.

Thanks to all 16 ladies that came out on Saturday and enjoyed the day. We really enjoyed your company. From all the positives from the day we will definately be doing it again soon. I will let everyone know that Ladies Day at Twin Parks will be a regular thing.

Here is an email I was forwarded this morning from one of the TOWN girls...

This outing ROCKED!! It was a total blast.... sorry you missed it! (heard you had company in town).. anyhow... Danielle, Laura, and Tara (Ladies of Live Oak or "Lolo's") did a fantastic job, and OMG, the meal was incredibly delicious!! I had to leave after lunch to take my bike to Decker for the Danskin race... so I missed the pool party and 2nd round of disc golf, but hated to leave. Was really glad to be able to do the Hill course. Good turn out... at least 10 of us...Thanks for organizing this.... hope we can do it again!

Good job Corey on lunch...that is the way to enjoy the clubhouse and day out.

Danielle needs to learn to make Margarita's or was it her plan all along so the girls could have their own personal bartender all afternoon by the pool? :D

Untill next Ladies Day...thank you

But yes the "pool boy" as we liked to call him was GREAT. ;)

Thanks Chris, Corey and Park for a wonderful time.

THANK YOU to the women who came and played.

A big THANKS to "Baby" Karshis, Tara DeLeon, Patty Justice and Michele Williams for helping teach the new women what this game is all about.

We all really enjoyed it and there was talk of another gathering before this one was even over. I think we got some hooked. :D

Chris, which course is the mini played on? If it's the Parkshire course, which tees are you using tonight?

Do you have mini-glo sticks available for night play? Or do we need to bring our own?

ozdisc
Jun 27 2005, 04:45 PM
The mini is played on the Parkshire. The tees depend on the heat and how we feel with the numbers of people. Tonight we will play the white tees.

We have some disc lights if you need them. They are the cool little red ones you can turn on and off. They are $3 each.

Good practise for this Sunday nights big Solar Round. :D

A very excellent evening of disc golf at the Parkshire Course. My card started on Hole #10, and I was sitting at +5 after the first 9 holes.

I had the box on the 286' #1, and banged straight chains for the ace and the $132 ace pot. I also birdied 5 of the last six holes to finish the round at even and tied for the win in Adv.

Would love to see more people try to make this mini...it's such a great course for mini. Oh, and wait until you see the 18 baskets all lit up with the solar lights...amazing. There's nothing like it anywhere else in the state. Looking out at the course, it looked eerily like ghosts out in the meadow.

Nice call Larry, you know your pool tables. Corey and I just finished up breaking it in for a couple of hours and it works great. :D

Rooster great ace mate. Not an easy hole at all and you did it with a hyzer. No aces for 10 years then 2 in 4 days. :D

Yes the look out across the course at night is amazing. Little ghosts out all over the place. Imagine what people driving past think?

Good to see you guys out here tonight. We are looking forward to a fun weekend. Don't forget we are having a basket raffle for everyone this weekend. It's a new Innova metal mini basket.

We only have one room left and that is for Saturday night so call if you are interested. In the camping area we now have 2 BBQ grills cemented in the ground and a decent size bonfire ready.

Thanks

This question and answer is from Disctance on the Pease thread. No need to talk TPCC on Pease's thread. :D

We have stock Am's can choose their payout with, they can use it towards memberships, food or anything else they want. For any reason we don't have a disc we will get it. Pro's get cash as always.

There were no Open players last night (since they weren't playing Am Doubles at Pease, where were they...I don't know).

But in Adv, I tied Blue Romero for the win with an even-par 54 from the White tees. I'm not sure who won the Int. division.

*** NEWS FLASH ***

On Friday this week a shipment of 100 brand new red and white DiscWing Quarter K's are expected to arrive at my door. Be the first in Texas to own this amazing and long awaited disc. Previously selling at $25-$60 these will be only $15 each while stocks last.

Come out to Twin Parks Country Club this weekend and get yours. If there are any left I will sell them next week in Lewisville at the Texas 10 so they won't last.

Please don't ask me to hold any for you unless you plan on being at Twin Parks this weekend. If you are going to be there email or pm me and reserve some or all of them.

Did I mention a free keg of beer this Sunday night for the Solar round.

Every player that plays a mini over the weekend will receive a ticket to the raffle drawing for a Mini Innova Basket. Each mini you enter you get a ticket. The top 3 in each division will also get an extra ticket to increase your chances. Other tickets will be available for $1 each with all the money going to fund benches for the courses.

We also have on display in the Clubhouse a beautiful new Banshee Scratch mountain bike worth $1000. This bike will be given away during the July 16th races. Come out to that and see the action.
