Two men. Both rated at an abysmal 839. Locked in a battle for amateur supremacy and a free lunch in 2004. Who will come out on top? Place your vote now, and feel free to pontificate and prognasticate now and throughout the year.

Well it will be worse if the voting accurately predicts the outcome. Imagine what a long 2005 I'll have then. Clearly the public is unfamiliar with my potential. I might have to put that avatar back up of me with my shirt off.

I've got to give Hawk the edge. Judging from tournament results, it looks like Hawk plays in more tournaments and has beaten md21954 in the tournys that they both have played in.
It also appears that Hawk is a more consistent golfer. Md21954 seems to usually have a good first round but [*****] the bed in the afternoon round. Maybe that lack of fitness Hawk pointed out? :D

Thanks for the vote Jeff! The check is in the mail. Finally perhaps the tide is turning. :)

With ratings that low, the added age/mellowness of the Hawk will raise him up.

how can a guy whose consistent from 25 feet have a 839 rating?
I'm not consistent from the distance and I'm 918

i mean i guess if you are hittin 25 footers for five, more power to ya
md21954
Feb 20 2004, 10:27 AM
yes... my drives are really bad. most say, i'd be pro if i could putt, i say, i'd be advanced if i could drive it straight consistently. i think my putt/approach is decent simply because i get more practice at it during casual rounds than most golfers :p
i drive RHBH and have almost gotten over my chronic yanks (grip lock) after switching from being a primarily RHFH thrower. distance is not an issue when i click.
my game is heating up w/ the weather and hawk will pose no threat. scrimmage set for saturday, rocburn, high noon. stay tuned...
md21954
Feb 20 2004, 10:31 AM
also, my $ is on me because those rounds i bombed are having a greater impact on my rating than hawks lowest are on his (i think).

it's funny how at all the non-sanctioned events, hawk winds up on a card w/ the juniors in the second round  it's ok though, i think he does it on purpose. he has a thing for little boys :D
Dick
Feb 20 2004, 02:24 PM
no offense paul, but having played with you both, i think hawk is improving quicker and therefore will be rated higher. hawk has a poor putting tchnique, but lays up alot to offset his weaakness. you on the other hand, approach very well, putt streaky, and drive like crap alot, with the occaisional good one. if you kept out of trouble on your drives you would compensate for your weakness and probably beat hawk. i had a big problem early in trying to overdrive when i played with people who can throw farther than me, but i've learned that if i throw 300 accurately, that extra 50-75 feet won't help me in the bushes off the fairway!
md21954
Feb 20 2004, 02:44 PM
no offense taken rich. i agree w/ most everything except the part about hawk finishing higher than me. rubbish! :D
i'm working on dropping the power mind set. when i do that, i drive more consistently. that's easier said than done.
time will tell... but tomorrow, i will give hawk lesson #1 at the roc. he's already making excuses!
Dick
Feb 20 2004, 02:53 PM
i think the real question is will either of you ever catch up to me? i'm hoping this year to really improve in my decision making at tournaments and add 30 points to my rating.
Dick
Feb 20 2004, 02:57 PM
it's funny, those 30 points represent about 3 dumb decisions a round, not even poor throws. like gunning a putt with a dropoff behind it and doing a blow by, so that i can't even make the come back putt. or yesterday's decision at the rock on 18. instead on conceding the 4, i tried blasting through the trees twice and hitting one both times, and taking a 5.

I'll be honest. I voted for the younger player. I think you should let us know a little bit more about your game, like what's in the bag, what course you primarily play, and what is an average score on that course.
I love gambling! I think i'm going to designate an entire thread to gambling.

Okay I'll pony up the info first, and Paul can provide his later.
My bag contains Beasts for driving, Spiders for mid-range, and Aviars for putting.
My home course is Patapsco, and my average score there is 63-65 with a personal best of 59.
You can follow details of our play on the Maryland Amateur Tour under the Other Clubs thread. First face off of the year is tomorrow.

i primarily play druid (live 2mi away) but i play a lot of different courses on weekends. at druid, average within 2 strokes of par (up or down) w/ best round -6 (mixed positions). second course would be patapsco where i am the two time am defending ice bowl champion :D personal best would be a 58 (everything in short from short) and a 63 from the pro tees to mixed positions. i average 60-63 from the shorts.
in my bag... valks, vikings, and teebirds for BH drives (170-172), i also FH the viking and a firebird, rocs also for BH drives and approach (heavy), stingrays for rollers, and aviar to putt.
hawk, how'd you do this weekend?

faceoff at patapsco, next saturday.

hawk, how'd you do this weekend?
Well let's see Mr. Druid at 3:45. I beat you by a stroke on your home courses actual 18 holes. I lost out on the x-holes that I was playing for the second time. For those not familiar the x-holes are nine holes in the woods (and I mean woods!!!) where you are hacking and whacking more than playing.
On Saturday you beat me by three when I played my first round in a month vs. you playing practically daily. An example...

So upon review of these activities, and considering my inactivity, I would say that you beat me by three at Rockburn my first day back after a month, and then I beat you by one on your home course...the next day.
You practice/play several times a week to my two rounds on the weekend. I think you can throw the x-holes out as nothing sanctioned will ever go on in there! :D
As always all results available on the boards hottest thread...Maryland Amateur Tour.
md21954
Feb 23 2004, 11:53 AM
i like this thread! though i suspected from the start that this would become a forum for your excuses, just not that quickly :D
it is correct that i practice/play several times a week. all the more reason that poll at the beggining indicates i will have a greater rating than you come '05! /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
ps... i had an 'off' weekend. that was the best chance you'll have to beating me for a good time to come. as a matter of fact... i don't foresee you beating me once during '04! btw... i'll be at druid today at 3:30 :D
md21954
Feb 23 2004, 11:57 AM
and since when did you beat me at my home course? you said we'd play the x-holes and i beat you 101-104.
ok... if we don't count these holes and those holes over there, you might have beaten me, but that's not how you keep score. take notes hawk... you might learn something.

i'm taking you down like a fat ***** in dodge ball
This merely confirms the rumor that you have issues with women.
No need to putt greater than 10' when you keep parking the basket. You wouldn't be familiar with this since most of your drives take off at a 45 degree angle to the right.

LOL!!! your scores clearly indicate that you have no problem "parking the basket". this rubbish is exemplary of the self-aggrandizement that provoked your simple mind to start this thread. it's all the more fuel for me to point and laugh while you bring up the rear w/ the juniors! :D

it is unfortunate that my clutch decided to stop working somewhere of 95 on my way to seneca to beat you there also. next two-or stop, loriella.

Tournament Results are what count Paulie. PDGA first, then the others second. By clearly rejecting my offer to carpool this weekend, then orchestrating this charade of mechanical breakdown, and then weaving your Druid cohorts into this conspiracy, you've reached quite possibly a new low.
I finished third in Craigs handicap tourney, and you finished in Baltimore County. :D
Dick
Mar 01 2004, 11:01 AM
oh, i'm so scared
does this mean you care to wager on loriella paul? i know a few places to eat down there, loser buys dinner?
md21954
Mar 01 2004, 11:10 AM
you are correct to be scared rich. i barely lost to you at patapsco on saturday and i'm regaining confidence in my game, playing smarter and returning to FH on straight narrow fairways. i'll take a wager, but not dinner. still a bold maneuver for an 839 vs a 910. needs to be smaller (remember, i'm replacing a clutch this week and going on vacation next, just in case i lose, my $ will be better spent on seafood and singapore slings w/ mezcal on the side)
curious... if i'm playing better than my rating, what rating should i be? i'm shooting for 900 by year-end. the way hawk is playing, he should be shooting for his rating not to go down!
as for hawk... dodging? i think not. i even called you while i was stuck on the side of the road, asking for a lift to the event. you laughed and pointed as you drove by. a convenient way for you to avoid yet another humiliating defeat. i called everyone i had in my cell phone, hoping to catch a lift.
again, 3 courses, 3 wins, 3.7 avg strokes per victory. that's pretty dominating, no?
hawkgammon
Mar 01 2004, 11:20 AM
i even called you while i was stuck on the side of the road, asking for a lift to the event. you laughed and pointed as you drove by.
While that scenario is very plausible, the record should note that it did not happen. :D You called me at 0830 when I was already in Damascus after I had called you at 0800 telling you I was rolling out.
Rich I don't think you need to worry about Loriella since Paul is clearly content to "beat" me in practice rounds, but fearful to face me in actual tournament competition.

ok... i forgot about the rockburn icebowl. no excuse there. it's always most humiliating to lose to someone w/ as little skill as you.
the druid ice bowl is different. it was the first event i've ever td'd and was a little distracted. if you insist on counting that, at least point out that i td'd and only stepped up to play at the last minute. i'm willing to forgive any events that you td.
so... my record vs. hawk.... 3-1, year-to-date margin of victory (strokes) is 9.

so the md am tour is strictly a "practice" venue? i might have to resign. it's nice that when i beat you (even at your "home course" from the big boy tees), you fall back on the "that was only practice" excuse (the least valid of any).

Whatever happened to the Patapsco Putters?
md21954
Mar 03 2004, 02:09 PM
i'm not so hot on starting a patapsco club. i do see a need for an organized association to represent dg to the park, but starting a whole new club might not be the best way to do it.
i think the calvert flyers are a very well established club that would do well as a state club, w/ commitees for each course. i know making the flyers "the state club" has been considered, i don't know if it has legs, but i'm all for it (and would most definitly join then). people could be on multiple commitees for multiple courses. the club structure and communications are there, the club's identity needs to be defined. i'd be all for working with patapsco, druid and pine grove.
if the flyers are not heading in this direction, then maybe consider multiple course specific clubs, but i think the flyers are in a perfect position to be the "mother club" for all MD courses. all about unity here. FREESTATE FLYERS!
we're spoiled at druid because the city maintains the course very well with very little hassle (as far as i can see). tony has been a great liason in that regard. they mowed the course so much last year, throwing plastic around mowers became a pain in the [*****]. <insert more mowers than crackheads joke here>. a druid club could immediately focus on more, bigger sanctioned events or regular weekend tourneys. as i see it, the patapsco club would need to focus on park relations and support for current tourneys.

now that's thread drift!
How can there be thread drift when this is nothing but stream of consciousness?
As much as this disturbs me, I have to agree with Mr. 839 over there that starting up another club is rather impractical. You have two handfuls of people in the state who are willing to do the grunt work at courses. You're just going to have the same ten people in 19 clubs. How many membership cards does Lindsay really need?
For doing work at Patapsco that should be coordinated through Jim since he is the course pro of record. Just as at Seneca it's Craig. Bill at Rockburn etc.
Rich if you want one of my old headshots for a disc those are still available. The one of me in the pirate shirt is hot! ;) If you don't like that, how about me and Ski standing back to back shirtless? I'm talking major money making potential there. Wait my cell's ringing, I think Blute is already ordering 5!

To maintain the drift...
The need at Patapsco is a core group of users who feel a responsibility to maintain and improve upon the special use area designated for Disc Golf.
I think there are many recreational players who use the park and don't know that they can be a part of helping to maintain it.
So, in part I agree... the Flyers is a great group to be a part of what happens at Patapsco. But I also see a greater need to bring the other people who use the Disc Golf course into the fold.
Paulie and Hawkster - would you have any interest in helping me & the Ranger to remove some trees at Patapsco?

isn't that what i was getting at? i still think the structure and communication has been established by the flyers. wouldn't the local recs be just as attracted by a state club w/ a commitee devoted to patapsco? i still don't see the advantage of trying to duplicate something that's already there (web page, concerned dger's that communicate, consolidated knowledge of history and goings on, etc). please explain the advantage of doing this from scratch and having multiple clubs that might require "memberships". we all know the bulk of the work load will not be shouldered by the rec players, but by that handful hawk mentions. if it is the rec players efforts we should pursue, then we should focus on that w/ the tools that we have-- not starting something new that already exists.
don't you think a statewide club might carry more weight than a fledgling group of rec players?
Paulie and Hawkster - would you have any interest in helping me & the Ranger to remove some trees at Patapsco?
i'd be more than willing to help, but you need to set a date before anyone can commit. i'm going to be tight on time over the next few weeks. maybe the sunday after next?

Paul, I think you really have something good going on in your head . I don't think it needs to be a new club. I like your idea of a statewide club and different committees with local/seperate club focus points. The communications have been re-opened with the Park by yours truly. I will work on setting a date for the tree removal - thank you for helping (if the date meets your schedule) :D

as far as i have been able to ascertain, the flyers as state group has no legs. they are mostly only interested in calvert, though i'm sure they could be counted on to help. i think each course needs it's own core of people, no matter how small who act as liason and work on upkeep and improvements. no matter how small the group. it doesn't even have to be official really, it could be more like the rockburn crew.
maybe a better way to go is advertising to the recreational players. i saw alot of them out there last week, i'm sure some would volunteer to help, and a list of people would at least be a start to convincing them there IS a core of regular users...

I take exception to that rhmiracle, most of the Calvert Flyer's take an active interest in other Maryland courses as well as the beloved Calvert Road course.
I am not saying that the Calvert club should be THE Maryland club or that other Maryland courses should not have their own clubs.

Rich,
You are correct that people don't rush out to do the grunt work. Last year before the Patapsco Open it was Jim, Tom, a tardy Blute and myself doing the work. 60 will show for a tourney, but not to shovel.
Dick
Mar 03 2004, 05:19 PM
if you read my post, it's more that the flyers don't want to be the freestate flyers, a md umbrella club. i specifically said they could be counted on to help though. if you think otherwise, why don't you try pushing something through at a meeting about representing patapsco also.

What are you trying to say, rh? Are you formulating a 'new business' item for the Calvert Flyers to consider at the next meeting? Something about expanding efforts to Patapsco? A possible solution or leg for MD DG to start hopping around on? I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say about how to make something like that work. :D I'm not ragging on ya - I'm serious. Well I'll be the better sport and report that Paul won our first head to head showdown of the year today at Loriella 120-127. We tied in the first round 60-60, but he handled the big winds in the second round better for a 60-67 edge. :(
Hopefully he will go to N.C. this week and get roughed up by the locals, and again in the Azalea Tourney. :)
On the plus side the MILF in the red shirt and jeans said howdy to me as we passed after the tourney proving that I've still got that going for me...which is nice! ;)

Ratings for rounds at Loriella:
Paul - 843/877
Hawk - 843/801
Rich - 926/931
You guys have a lot of catching up to do. Hawk, you shot worse the second round over nearly the same course! A lot of those holes were 2 easy throws and a putt. Maybe instead of working on a forehand, work on playing for a three on holes like #3 down the pine tree tunnel! Paul is just lucky he was short on money and didnt bet dinner(at least that was his excuse)

Mar 15 2004, 03:25 PM
LMAO!
Actually the Craiger method would afford us the following strokes based on our current ratings in a handicap event.
Hawk - 13.09
Paul - 13.685
Lindsay - 21.08
The difference between our handicaps is 7.99 rendering me 8 strokes per round from you and the difference between me and Paul is 7.395 rendering me 7 strokes per round. I decided to leave the decimal places off in order to avoid the difficulties in calculating final scores (you know the park closes at dark ;)) and simply round the numbers with anything .5 or over being rounded up and .49 and under rounded down.
If you would like to make any alterations to our bet, please present your suggestions prior to the start of the first round :Dand they will be discussed.
PS, I know you're scared! :p
hawkgammon

I believe we are doing the standard dollar ladies bet? If we tourney together enough, Rich can eventually get desert on the way home from one of these roadtrips.

Actually Hawk - when you consider what gnduke is proposing... the handicap system DOES work best when applied to one round vs. multiple rounds...
So, how about $1/$1/$2?
Wait, let me break that down for you so you don't get confused  :D
$1 on the First Round
$1 on the Second Round
$2 for Overall
The 8 stroke/round handicap still applies...
Get ready to lighten your wallet :D

So let's see I win one round and a dollar. You win the second round by a smaller margin, and a dollar. Then I win $2 for the overall. Hmmmmmmmmm...I think I prefer the simplicity of $1 per round. That way you only lose two dollars.
Is Duke bankrolling you? :)

It's okay to say it, Hawk! I understand that you don't have that extra $2 to lose to me so I'll let you off the hook on that one. :) $1 per round for each round.

looks like it may be windy sunday. will hawk have the advantage with his new wind discs? will he be out all day friday(it's supposed to be real windy) practicing? will paul's talk about how he is the better wind player turn out to be hot air? it's all on the line sunday! these 1$ bets are weak. how about loser pays for gas, or first round loser buys us lunch?
md21954
Mar 17 2004, 04:36 PM
hawk, between rounds at loriella, score is tied---
paul has no stamina, he'll choke like he always does
i went on to shoot seven strokes better as my near masters age adversary complained that he has no game in the wind and his back hurts.
puhlease... hawk has no skills or chance. i'm focused, my game is coming around and i will take any and all bets hawk wants to step up to. it's like taking candy from a baby :D
although 70% were proven wrong on the 'me vs. girlie' thread, 70% will be right here. how come hawk didn't see fit to announce girlie thrashing him (w/ the handicap)?
hawk-- bring that laminated excuse card and whiny voice. "my back hurts", "but you practice all the time", "i can't play in wind", "it was courageous of me to challenge you in the first place" (i'd almost agree w/ the last one sans courageous, more like foolish).
btw... the idea is for your rating to go up (nice 801!) :D
hawkgammon
Mar 17 2004, 04:48 PM
Well now if you are referring to Lindsay beating me at Seneca (w/ handicap) that didn't happen. I came in fourth, to her ninth or so. Rumors of $ exchanging between myself and Mr. Gangloff are greatly exagerrated.
Rich my windy discs aren't scheduled to arrive until Friday, so Saturday will be the test run. Though I have thrown all of them in the past, so adjusting shouldn't be to hard if I need to use them.
Very "masculine" avatar Paul.

Dick
Mar 18 2004, 09:34 PM
rich - 60
shark - 62
paul - 66
not positive these are actual and correct as shark had the card. shark put on a hard run to try to close at the end, carding like a 75ft putt for a duece on 16. then i put my second shot on 17 behind a tree and missed a forehand lean putt. shark smelt blood and called long on 18. but i matched him 4 for 4 and snuffed his valiant comeback attempt. paul beat the hell out of some trees with some really shanked drives , but kept fighting and i think finished at a very respectable 66.

Today at Sherando Paul squeaked out a narrow two stroke win over me in even worse winds than we experienced two weeks ago at Loriella. It appears that the pressure is getting to Paul. This would explain his unprovoked physical assault on me during pre tourney putting warm-ups where he attempted to re-injure my sprained throwing wrist with some sort of karate chop. It was also amusing to watch him frantically calculate the scores every two holes on the second round back nine to see where things stood. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Kudos to Paul though for winning the CTP on hole #4 in the second round. :D

funny thing is, i'm actually worried about that bet because it'll probably be close. what's that say about hawk's game? i'm worried about losing to kelly, but not hawk. /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
i was practice putting yesterday for a good while (200x) and emptied my bag a few times. let's see if i can top my 5 TNT wins this year (only twice w/ myers).

I too would accept Kelly's year long ratings bet, but clearly she views me as more of a threat than Paul since it wasn't offered to me. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiight...
i'm sure that's the case :p it's kind of amusing to see the BS smack you've tried to lay down on this thread, and have yet to back it up.
i'm almost starting to feel bad about leaving you in the dust so bad hawk. maybe you'll find your niche at the olympics you seem to be so excited about. you know... those "special" ones you're looking forward to so much?
what's that excuse you laid on me at paultapsco last saturday when i beat you by 8 strokes?
md21954
Mar 25 2004, 11:01 AM
is there such a thing as an "age" handicap? i'll consider giving that one to you, if you want it.

I would take that bet simply because it would save me money on all those individual dollar bets!
Ahhh, how quickly you forget! I thought our wager was already locked and loaded- do I have to beg? :D

And, to clear up any confusion- I see neither one of you as a threat... I see you as being EASY MONEY  :D

you were pretty familiar w/ sherando and loriella right? nice wins... i know you're getting better fast, but let's see what happens at paultapsco! what did we shoot last time we played there?
md21954
Mar 25 2004, 12:22 PM
don't worry, i found the scores....
Shark-60
Rich-61
Paul-63
Hawk-68
Kelly-69
(from the big boy tees)
even hawk beat you /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif now THAT is bad! :D
imapackerfan
Mar 25 2004, 12:53 PM
Loriella, yes- but it was only my second time playing Sherando. If you want to draw swords regarding winning at home courses, wouldn't that explain how you won at Paultapsco? I've played there a total of 5 times, twice from the big boy tees. Just wait until I get some more practice there, you'll be sorry... :D
imapackerfan
Mar 25 2004, 12:55 PM
Big deal- so you beat me by 6 strokes from the long tees. :p Care to post the Sherando results, for our viewing pleasure? :D
md21954
Mar 25 2004, 12:59 PM
actually, hawk is the one who lists paultapsco as his home course, LOL :D i just happen to play well there (relative to other courses). druid is my homie course, and i don't play as well there as i used to :(
keep your chin up hawk, there'll be better days! :D

I find Paul's self destructing avatar sooooooooo ironic. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
how so? who's been self destructing?
let's see...
loriella-- paul shoots a 60/60-120, hawk shoots a 60/67-127.
sherando-- over 2 windy 20 hole rounds paul shoots a 71/77-148 but put on the afterburners after falling behind by 4 strokes on the first 5 holes of the second round to take the round by a stroke, hawk shoots a 72/78-150 to lose, again.
i think the record speaks for itself. keep livin' in that dreamworld hawk :D

Curious how Paul always wanted to stress the importance & value of these casual rounds in the past, but now that he got spanked...while I was testing a new disc mind you...he changes his tune. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I guess we now know why he didn't show at Bluemont. ;)
none of us smoke cigarettes (anymore)
Well you started huffing away about seven holes into the round yesterday. :DWas the pressure getting to you?
didn't keep a card, but it's a safe bet i beat your 73
Please see above. Note this was from the shorter tees yesterday. This was also after Paul received a one round private lesson from local pro Glen.

hawk finally eeks out a casual victory and the flood gates open! how long have you been planning that one? when was the last time you beat me before sunday?
so i had a bad day. i didn't make any excuses. learn from that! let's see how we do when it counts on saturday. again, you have yet to beat me in any single round at any event that matters to this thread. ya know? ratings wise, i mean.
i might not have kept a card last time i played paultapsco, but i know for sure my pro tee score was under 70.
btw... you can't come up w/ anything better than paula? i used to think you were wittier than that :(
hawkgammon
Apr 05 2004, 10:24 AM
Well how can I beat you at an event when you keep ducking me?
Though to your credit, unlike Raines, you knew the correct day of the Bluemont event! :D
After your narrow victory at Sherando, you've decided to play two divisions above your rating in a desperate attemtpt to avoid a head to head battle.
Your margin of victory lately runs something like:
-6 strokes better over two rounds at Loriella.
-2 strokes better over two rounds at Sherando.
+6 strokes worse in one round at "Paul"tapsco. :D
md21954
Apr 05 2004, 10:37 AM
no ducking at bluemont. you even admitted yesterday that you are lucky i couldn't make it. and besides, in this contest, there is no ducking on an event by event basis. the real event is boosting ratings all year long. showing at bluemont would have only helped me. if you placed second there, i certainly would have won!
again, please figure this one out-- when was the last time you beat me, anywhere, anytime, before sunday? months ago?
After your narrow victory at Sherando, you've decided to play two divisions above your rating in a desperate attemtpt to avoid a head to head battle.
again, even though i've beat you at all events we've played head-to-head at, i'm more concerned about boosting my ratings. is this your way of trying to get me to wimp out like you and play in the lil kids division again at paultapsco? not gonna happen. i'll be pointing and laughing when you get stuck on the card w/ the juniors in the second round (like you always do).
i've raised the bar. i DARE you to follow! :D

you even admitted yesterday that you are lucky i couldn't make it.
Curiously I don't recall saying that. I do recall saying you should have come.
Well there are those two Ice Bowl victories over you that you oh so conveniently forget about all the time. Then let's see I had surgery, and was out of action for a month, and now after being back in action for a month, the noose tightens. ;)

Saying that it suited your "game" is not the same as being worried. You and worried don't enter the same sentence for me.
Can you still claim the course name after finishing a distant fourth in a four man field?
Playing up would only eliminate any defense you could make for your failure. I feel the need to give you an out in the name of sportsmanship! :D

Well, buddy boy - you've found me :D!
$1 says I beat your *** at Patapsco  - and I am playing advanced so we will be playing the same tees. Oh, and I don't need no stinkin' handicap :p.
I've got that good karma going for me because I DID SHOW for the work day last Saturday. :p And I plan on taking you DOWN this Saturday... (plus, I have beaten you down there before and my game has improved since so I'm really not concerned)
Oh, a word of advice... when you say you're "playing up" I hope you don't mean to the PRO level, because then you will be competing against Schweb and Mad Cracken (opps, I meant to say that you will be adding cash to the purse for the Caro boyz :o).
See you all on Saturday!

sorry for not making it out on saturday. i had every intention to, but i woke up saturday morning to find myself out-of-state and not in the condition to help much. the course looks great!
i'm playing advanced and (though i feel weird saying this to someone who has yet to beat me this year even with a BIG handicap) you're on! thanks in advance for the dolla!
who's off on friday and heading to paultapsco to practice all day? i'll be out there a couple times this week also. i love daylight savings time!

That was the very tournament where after you saw my performance in the first round you indicated to me that you no longer wished to grant me handicap strokes for future bets :p.
Well, bring your dolla 'cause I'm going to pry it from your grubby little claws after I beat you on Saturday !
