If it seems like Garrett Gurthie is playing like a man trying to make up for lost time, perhaps that's because he is.
Plenty changed in the three years he was away from disc golf, and the Florida native took notice. Now back on tour full time, he's making good on his decision to hit the road. And he's ready for his close-up.

Paul McBeth was on a historic pace Friday at the Waco Annual Charity Open. A near impossible eagle connection through a wooded jail on Brazos Park East’s 15th put him at 10-under par through nine holes, and it looked as if a vintage performance was in the making.

With a combined slate of 15 events in 2018, the PDGA National Tour and the Disc Golf Pro Tour are creating an opportunity for more professional disc golfers to pack up their cars, vans, and RVs and trek from sea to shining sea. Add in the various PDGA Majors and the Pro Tour Championship, and that number swells to almost 20 stops – and that doesn’t include the well-attended A-Tiers that provide players another shot at competing in the interim weeks.
