The PDGA seeks a highly organized, project oriented professional for the position of Membership Program Manager. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize, develop, implement, and manage high-level programs geared towards membership benefits and growth that can be directly applied to PDGA initiatives.

Responsible to: Director of Membership & Growth

Position Responsibilities

  • Create and implement innovative campaigns to increase PDGA memberships and enhance member retention
  • Develop, oversee, and manage the PDGA’s membership benefits program
  • Design the annual PDGA membership package
  • Order and schedule the delivery of membership package items to our fulfillment office in advance of each membership season and as supplies are needed
  • With the PDGA fulfillment partner, develop and implement member fulfillment programs and ensure the timely delivery of the organization’s fulfillment activities
  • Develop and present proposals to solicit new global member benefits
  • Assist the PDGA Memberships Manager with service-related duties
  • Assist underserved demographic committees with the development of membership growth programs
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends, issues, and strategies in areas related to membership associations and fulfillment services
  • With the Director of Membership & Growth:
    • Compile and analyze memberships data to identify trends and growth
    • Develop policy and procedural changes to improve the membership structure and systems
    • Manage the annual PDGA elections process
    • Develop, refine, and administer PDGA grant programs
    • Manage the PDGA Affiliated Clubs program
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Membership & Growth

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in Project or Program Management fields with skills directly transferable to developing membership programs and services
  • 4+ years formal education or job experience a related field; non-profit sector experience is an asset
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills; public speaking experience
  • Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and project management skills
  • Proficient in using email, browsers, Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communications.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills: ability to tactfully communicate and work with PDGA Staff, members, volunteers, external customers/partners, and spectators
  • Professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, flexible, and able to deliver results on time

Desired Qualification

  • 3-5 years experience with membership organizations, programs, or services
  • 3-5 years experience with program development, community outreach, or similar field
  • 3 years experience in public relations
  • 1-3 years experience developing inclusive programs with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Grant writing experience
  • Research experience

  • This is a remote work position
  • Successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours
  • Moderate expenses-paid travel is required
