Course Grand Opening

On Saturday morning, the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Jim Warner Memorial Course, presented by Discraft and the Atlanta Disc Golf Organization, will take place just before the tournament tees off.

Jim Warner

Jim Warner

Jim Warner was an Atlanta area player and promoter who passed away several years ago. As a lasting tribute to Jim, his family and the Atlanta club raised $25,000 to name the course in his honor, and his ashes were interred into the tee pads on his memorial course. Jim’s widow, Priscilla Warner will be on hand to cut the ribbon to officially open it for play. The Atlanta Disc Golf Organization will also be treating everyone present on Friday evening to a cookout in Jim’s honor, immediately following random draw doubles, which begins at 4:00pm.

"Steady" Ed Headrick Bust Unveiling

Following round two and prior to the barbecue dinner on Saturday evening, special guests Farina Headrick and Josh Orzech of the DGA will be on hand to unveil a bronze bust of “Steady” Ed Headrick which will grace his memorial museum at the International Disc Golf Center.
