I've read in a couple places about separating PDGA League Ratings from PDGA Tournament Ratings; most recently in the Fall Summit minutes:

For what will the new PDGA League Rating be used?

What purpose will this split serve? It seems to run contrary to the originally stated benefit of PDGA Leagues (https://www.pdga.com/leagues).

Once we've started down this path will we split C-Tier Ratings from Major-Tier Ratings? Clearly there's more pressure at the latter.
