Attention disc golfers!! I encourage all golfers to take a moment to search for Washington State Parks. Write out a request on their Facebook page to install disc golf courses in Washington State Parks. The State Parks system is in need of a financial boost and I think that our sport can provide just that. Please take a moment to help boost the number of courses we have. There are some amazing places that could be home to sweet courses. Thanks

Michigan State Parks in the past few years have been installing courses and they have been happy with the increase in park users. Like the Washington State Parks, Michigan State Parks require an annual or daily pass, so they can tell how installing a course increases the number of passes sold.

One way you might be able to sell your parks people on the idea would be to give them the phone numbers of the state parks in Michigan that have courses so they can talk to other park professionals about how it is working for them.

Both of these parks are so happy they want to add a second course:

Holly State Recreation Area (248) 634-8811
Sleepy Hollow State Park (517) 651-6217

There are other Michigan State Parks with courses, but I know these parks view their course as a positive thing.
