North Carolina Disc Golf Champions Series Event

Early registration is highly recommended – this tournament will fill quickly! Waitlist registration for any available spaces will open at 8:00am on Saturday, May 19th at Hole 1 at the UNC Disc Golf Course. Players meeting at 9:30am, Round 1 tee at 10:00 AM. Round 2 will follow the 1 hour Brixx Pizza lunch break. Round 3 will tee Sunday at 9AM, Round 4 will follow the 1 hour Brixx Pizza lunch break. Non-current PDGA members will pay an additional $10 fee. On-line registration includes an additional DGU fee.

I will be taking registrations for Tar Heel at Castle Hayne this weekend

Course Layout and OB (all divisions will play same layout all 4 rounds)
All paved surfaces, concrete, and over all fences is out of bounds. Above or inside buildings and electrical structures is OB. Certain low ropes elements have non-penalty drop zones, see hole for details.
Hole #1. 250 ft Bathrooms/ workshed fence left is OB.
Hole #2. 381 ft Pond OB, lost disc from tee: proceed to drop zone (short pad)
Hole #3. 274 ft (tournament pin is long right) Pond OB, proceed to drop zone
Hole #4. 408 ft Casual relief from zip-line platform (drop zone, no penalty)
Hole #5. 371 ft (short tee) Creek is casual, if wet, play directly behind lie
Hole #6. 333 ft Fence right is OB. Creek is casual, if wet, play directly behind lie
Hole #7. 236 ft (pin right side) Road, parking lot and beyond is OB
Hole #8. 290 ft (long tee)Road, parking lot & beyond is OB. Electrical box & foundation OB. Creek casual.
Hole #9. 210 ft (long tee) Fence right is OB. Creek is casual, if wet, play directly behind lie
Hole #10. 286 ft Fence right is OB.
Hole #11. 237 ft Fence right is OB.
Hole #12. 180 ft Fence left and right is OB. String extends OB line from end of left fence.
Hole #13. 467 ft Fence right is OB.
Hole #14. 410 ft Fence right is OB. Play Left (original) pin
Hole #15. 350 ft Road and house left is OB.
SKIP normal holes #16 and #17 (normal hole 18 becomes tourney hole #16)
Hole #16. 258 ft Ropes course fence right is OB, tennis courts left OB.
Hole #17. 671 ft Pavement, concrete, pavilion is OB. High grass is in bounds. Climbing wall on left has non-penalty drop zone. Ropes course on right side take nearest safe stance directly behind disc.
Hole #18. 505 ft Ropes course on right and see-saw on left, take nearest safe stance directly behind disc. Buildings, road, concrete sidewalks and beyond are OB.

Attention!!! To all those practicing for the Tar Heel Tourney this weekend!!
There will be a Low Elements Ropes Course Event on Wednesday May 16th, from 1pm to 4pm. During this time, you will not be able to throw on tournament holes #17 and #18 ( the two temp par 4's). Anyone caught throwing into these groups will be disqualified from the tournament (Carolina Adventures has the power to cancel the entire tournament if golfers are behaving irresponsibly!!)

Please plan your practice rounds accordingly.
