To one and all, first I want to thank all the players that have been asking if there is to be a PWO this year. The answer is yes, however......

First of all, the event is being scaled back to a B-Tier. The main reason is because I waited so long to set this up that it will not have the time an A Tier should have before the event. The second reason is that for the past two years this has been two events at one time, a B Tier for the Intermediate and Rec and and an A Tier for the Advanced and Pro divisions. This requires twice the paper work and almost twice the cost for the TD. I do apologize for those of you that wanted to finish the year with an A Tier, but I had touring pro after touring pro tell me they would not make it because they were ready to head home for the holidays.

Second, this will more than likely be my last tournament. I respect the TD's that manage to run an event year after year, but for those of you that have never run one, the work is grueling and takes away from your family life. I never started this to make money, I did it for the joy of the tournament and to benefit several of my favorite charities. After years of seeing how tournaments should be run and then helping with other tournaments, I had some ideas on how one should be done. From the responses I have had, my format was well received by just about everyone. I believe an event should start on time, PERIOD. If a time is posted, that is when the rules/round/payout should occur. Players that want to register late should not be allowed to hold all the pre-registered players hostage. They just don't get into the event. I have turned players away and strongly feel all TD's should. But that is just me.

This year pre-registeration will be on www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com) and I will try to get this up before the end of the week. Read this carefully and share with others, THERE WILL BE NO REGISTERATION on Saturday morning. You will either pre-register on www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com), fill in a registeration form and pay before the event or you can pre-register on Friday, December 9 at the park, until 6:00 PM. After that it is to late. The reason for this is because we must start early to finish while there is still sunlight left. I cannot take registeration on Saturday morning and get everyone off on time. I will not subject my family to a phone ringing late into the evening because a player either could not make up their mind until late or because they ran into some difficulty.

I am very sorry, but maybe some of you are seeing the kinds of things I have had to put with. Last, but not least, if you have had problems registering on www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com) it is your responsibility, not mine, to get a registeration form and mail me your entry fee before the event. I have one individual that had issues and I let him slide. A year later and the player still has not paid.

Please forgive me if I sound strict, I have been told the PWO is one of the best run tournaments around. This year will not be any different. Pre-register or you will not be getting in.

Doubles will be held Friday starting at 1:00 PM and running until 5:00 PM. If you sign up after 4:00 PM you better know how to play in the dark, because you will be finishing with the sun going down. I will be limiting the fields for the Advanced and Pro divisions to around 60 each, but may be able to juggle it a bit. This is to speed play through the event. Hickory can be hard, but Dogwood can take some time.

Got any questions please call or email. I will be posting more info in the next couple of days. This is very important so keep it in mind. Since I am limiting the fields it may well fill early. See everyone in December.

www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com) now has PWO VIII up for registeration. Fields will be limited this year so sign up soon or you will miss out. It will be a first come first serve basis. No excuse will get you in if it fills. I will be limiting pro and adv divisions to 60 players per field. So sign up today. As in the past, the first player to register receives a InColor disc!

ALERT!!!! ALERT!!!! ALERT!!!! ALERT!!!! ALERT!!!! ALERT!!!!

We are taking pre-rigisteration only this year. Please pass this on to anyone you know that is planning on coming. I WILL NOT take registeration on Saturday morning. Saturday I will have cards completed and hole assignments done when I get to the course. I apologize if this inconveniances some of you, but last year we had several cards finish in the dark and this was the solution that the club and I came up with.

You can sign up on www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com) , register up to 6PM Friday at the park the night of the event or I can mail you an entry form. You can fill it out and mail it in or I can take payments via paypal. My email is [email protected]

The reason we are not taking entry the moring of, is due to timing. December 10-11 are not the shortest days of the year, but they are darn close to it. We need all the daylight we can get. Event opening and rules will be promptly at 8:00AM and expected tee off will be at 8:45AM. Did I say promptly? If you are late..... well depends on how late, but the event will be run on time.

I truely am sorry if this is a problem for you. If you do not preregister and show up late, I shall not let one or two individuals hold the rest of the entries hostage. Tournament that are not run as per posted times, is a pet peeve of mine.

Enough of an alert, come join us for some of the most challenging courses in Texas. Dogwood can make or break a good man or woman. See if you can beat the dreaded Dogwood! By the way, Dogwood is for Pro and Adv divisions only. If you wanna face the beast, you will have to step it up. Int and Rec will still play some great courses, including Hickory and Cedar.

Schedule:

Saturday Dec 10 8:00 AM preamble, rules and hole assignments
Saturday Dec 10 8:45 AM Round One Tee Off
Saturday Dec 10 12:45 PM Approximate Round Two Tee Off
Sunday Dec 11 7:30 AM Updates, hole assignments
Sunday Dec 11 8:00 AM Round Three Tee Off
Sunday Dec 11 12:00 PM Approximate Round Four Tee Off

Hope to see everyone next week!

Three days left to register. We are over 1/4 full and by tomorrow evening should be at 2/3. Please pass to everyone that registeration will be closed on Firday Evening. I will not take any registeration on Saturday morn. Current on line registeration can be seen on www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com). This does not include the locals that have preregistered, only those that registered on Titledisc.

If the number of calls I am getting is any indication, we should see the entry number jump significantly in the next two days. I will NOT over fill. Adv and Pro fields will be capped at 60. Saturday morning sob stories will not save you. See everyone soon.

Total attendance was 93 this year. Not a bad amount for a B Tier, but about 40 short of what I expected and about half of last year. I blame myself for that. I did not advertise this year like I have in years past. We did raise at least $15600 for the Children's Miracle Network and as I sell off the remaining discs that number should go up.

I want to thank everyone that made it. With the exception of Saturday morning, we ran everything exactly on time. This was to the determent of a few players that were unaware that when I post a tee time that means the players will be throwing at that time. I should have scores posted this evening and apologize for not getting them out before. For anyone that would like a CFR roc for the event, I have a few left. Please email me at [email protected] and we can work out an arrangement to get you one.

Have a Merry Christmas and see you all later.

Am ratings in Oklahoma. Lol

No those are am players too scared to take on the open field. They say year after
Year that we want to go to Am
Worlds one more time to
Give it a shot. Then they don't even go to am worlds. It's pretty comical at best.

For this reason I am glad that the pdga am payout is so weak. When I started playing if you won an adv tournament you would walk home with a box full of discs! Now you can win an adv turney w a huge field and walk home w a couple discs. It's funny!

Then the AM players biatch about the payout.

Comical!

Hell yea I can tell that was shot right at me. obviously my post about the rating in Oklahoma was a joke.

Not just a shot at u BIG HEAD. There are plenty players in Oklahoma that can compete in the Pro field. They and YOU obviously dont have the balls to play it. I guess you can never have enough plastic.

See the difference in me and you bub is that I dont really care, nor do I have an ALTER EGO that tells me my Shiit doenst stink. I play 3 tournaments a year. You play in 3 a month. I run tournaments. You sit on your arse and biatch about them. Big difference!

Your full of S**T Jason and you know it. If you don't care you should have kept your mouth shut.

What is the ALTER EGO stuff about...What do I do that makes you think that about me

I made a joke and you decided to pop in with your two cents targeted at me and for you to say I complain about tournaments is bogus and you know it.

The difference between me and you is something I would rather not post over the internet.

I stand corrected. Your right bubba. You haven't complained about the payouts. Just some of the people you run around with have. I was wrong. And shouldn't have stated you complain about them.

I have no beef w you bubba.

I think you have the game to play pro! With some of the best! You have a world title! What the hell else do you need to accomplish in the am field? Besides people talking about you playing am for life?

Good luck
In your journey.

Thank you.

I have no problems with you either Jason felt like your first post was targeted directly at me.

I know I should be playing pro but I started playing this sport because I had fun...I've talked with Pros and have played on the pro cards and it just wasn't fun at all...everyone was quiet and just seemed stuck up.
