Alright !!!!!! I was just scanning the PDGA web and I came upon the Southeast Collegiate Open that happened over the weekend in Appling, Ga. !!!!!!! Our very own Arkansas Razorbacks competing for a championship !!!!!!!!

Awesome to see locals striving to achieve excellence on the disc golf course !!!!!!! :)

Just let the local disc golf community know what's going on, so we can enjoy your experiences with you !!!!!!!!

Congratulations on the second place finish with a (-19) just two strokes out of first !!!!!!!

Also JoBee let us know how Rock Hill is going !!!!!!!!! ;)

Hey everyone, this course is by far the hardest I have ever played. It has very few ace holes for me! But I will ace hole 1, and play smart layup golf the rest of the way! My tee time for Wed. is 8:56 here, that's 7:56 in Arkansas! I will update my scores on here each night if I have time. Now its time for me to sleep and dream of winning the USDGC. Then get up in the morning and go get it for real!;)

Thanks for spreading the word Roger!

We had an amazing time out there at idgc playing some solid disc golf and chillin with all the other schools. We got to camp out at their awesome camp site with Alabama right next to us and we became Arkabama at night. I love the atmosphere of the collegiate tournaments because we are all competing but at the same time are looking to meet new people and just have a good time. It is way different than just playing for yourself and to win a bunch of meaningless plastic. We competed to the best of our ability and came out with 2nd place which was what we deserved and I am happy with that. Our final round we played alternate tee best shot doubles as a team and played solid. Unfortunately South Carolina didn't make any mistakes and made to many clutch shots to beat us by 2 strokes so they definitely deserved the win. If you wanna know anything specific about our/my experience just let me know and I would be happy to share.

Thanks for all the support that you all give us, and be sure to try and make it out to the razorback classic on november 13. I'll post more info about it very soon.

Looks like Joseph will never look at yellow rope the same way again :)

he is projected to shoot a 79 and shot a 90 which at Roc Hill on the 1st competitive round really isn't horrible, it would chew most of us up, totally different style than any courses we'd be familiar with

looking forward to hear Jobee's take on it

lots of golf and fun left ;)

Well day one was a rough day for me. 90 was my score, which is 11 over my projected score. That puts me close to the middle of the pack at 70th place, but there's still 3 days left. My highest score on a single hole was an 8. Every other player on my card had at least a 12 or higher on one hole. I went OB 12 times, I think. hard to count them sometimes. So there is a lot of room for improvement. My 2 least favorite colors are now yellow, for the OB rope. And Red, the color of the flag they wave when I go OB! I had a lot of mistakes today, but believe I can play smarter tomorrow and come back and win this thing! I tee off at 9:44 tomorrow, that's 8:44 in Ark. :)

Joseph did a solid round of 75 today, 38 strokes better than yesterday :)

only 3 OB's today!

for anyone not familiar with OB at the USDGC, the after OB shot is taken from the same lie, not where it was last in, so penalty throw and distance can add up super quick on an incredibly difficult layout with OB everywhere

This last one is of hole 18 from the waters edge. Its about 50 feet from the basket. Still a very steep slope that discs can easily roll on!
