About 24 hours remain to pre-register for your global event. Deadline is 8pm your local time Thursday night. We've already topped 500 players entered around the World at 15 locations. Ams get global player packs with two discs and a DVD. Ams are not only playing for global bragging rights but whatever merch they can win in their local event. For pros, $25 of their entry goes to their global purse and the rest goes toward the local purse plus any added cash supplied by the TD.

Almost last chance to qualify for USDGC. 30 spots available based on how well you beat your rating over the three rounds.

If you can't make it or there's not an event near you, watch live updates online Saturday and Sunday on discgolfplanet.tv Check their website for the live update schedule.

Are you playing in the biggest sanctioned event of the year? Total registrations moved past 560 players today making this the PDGA sanctioned event with the largest competition field in 2011 topping BG Ams at 544. Amateurs still have time to enter at several events not yet filled but online pre-registration is closed except for Maple Hill. You'll have to contact the TD directly to register today or just before the event tomorrow.

The Japanese are about halfway thru Round 1 and the Aussies are about ready to tee off for Round 1. Hope to maybe post Japanese R1 results by Midnight EDT tonight to get this party started. Chuck, great concept. Thanks to you and others that have worked to get this off the ground. I had been looking forward to playing this weekend, here in Orlando, but a minor back injury has put me on the D.L.

I'm a fan of the ratings system and think this event will open a lot of eyes as to creative ways that ratings can be used for fun competitions.

Chuck,
St. Louis Disc Golf thanks you so very much. What I absolutely loved is the scoring we uploaded was posted within 15 minutes. The concept was great, we set up the course in a configuration that was never before used, and Nikko still nailed it. I am very excited how this tourney went, you can count St. Louis in for the next Global Disc Golf Tourney. My only complaint is what was Innova thinking DX????, they better thank DGA and Vibram. Come on Innova have some faith!

Thanks Mark. I think most things went well and the things that didn't we can tweak for the future. We'd like to figure out how to do some sort of global payout for Ams but dealing with merch value currency conversions and/or shipping globally has to be figured out. Remember that Innova also gave us a good deal on the fundraising discs that were Star and Champion.

With the Leaderboard sorted by average rating there are players who DNF'ed listed higher than players who completed all three rounds. The Leaderboard should be sorted by total ratings points, right?

I have a final results board that has people in the proper positions that will be posted to replace the live board from the event. Gentry knows that for the future, we'll need a way to get the DNFs to sort to the bottom perhaps by giving them a zero round rating instead of none at all. That will drive their average to the bottom for sorting.
