Only reason I played the event earlier this year was because Brad and I heard we would play some of the Beast.

Nothing against the courses but in general I am trying to stay away from birdie fests this year as they are starting to get OLD and are not my kind of golf.

There are many birdie opportunities at Woodway. However, not many took advantage of those opportunities last year. With 21 holes, par is 63. The lowest score was 53 shot by J.D. and that was with one bogey. The average score for the A-pool (Open, Adv) was a 65. You shot a 61 (961 rated round). Maybe you'll hit those birdies this year. :D

You are teeing from the OB side of the sidewalk, but the teepad itself is IB. Sidewalk and beyond is OB. Flowerbed and wall surrounding flowerbed is OB. All Redwood Shelter is OB including wall surrounding the structure. If your teeshot never crosses the in-bounds line before it comes to rest, re-tee with a one-stroke penalty. Note: There is no limit to the number of re-tees.

I've seen this hole annihilate scores!

1st round...blind...spits (not chain-outs).....Ian's "Ace runs"....and general mood= 961 round.....JD and I were tied going into the last hole of the final 9.

Anyway I hope to play better on that course although a hot score of -10 is what I dislike about DG at the moment and currently I am liking courses with an SSA around 56-60 on a 18 hole course.

Congrats to all the Winners this weekend.. I was a brutally HOT HOT weekend.. But yet again Waco came through with another awesome tournament. Very well run and smooth. Channon and staff did a wonderful job with the courses and running the tournament. Looking forward to next years event when the BEAST will be back in play...
