Well here we are, time for another year of great disc golf in East Texas!

This year the 12th annual Pecan Park Open will be played on all THREE local courses. That's right, you will be finally able to play on our tough (tough) lake park course. We're a B-tier run by the Nacogdoches Crushers (http://naccrushers.com/) and we're one of the longest running tourneys in the state. Please any past players feel free to share how your experiences have been in the past.

Sign-up is posted here at PDGA. Sign-up now! (http://www.pdgasignup.com/Qstore/Qstore.cgi?CMD=011&PROD=1296587378) All other info will tried to be relayed as quick as possible to both this thread and our club website (http://naccrushers.com). All info that you would like to know about, please ask. We'll try to get it to you as quick as possible.

Also, as we're a local club event, we are always in need of serious sponsors. We've always met our goal of at least an extra $1000+ added to the pro purse, but it takes help. If you would like to get in on our good and effective sponsorship levels, let me know. The Nacogdoches Crushers support their sponsors.

End of April, beginning of May is a beautiful time in East Texas. You will not want to miss this great weekend of disc golf!

Just a little update.

Food this year will be catered by our club sponsor, Olde Towne General Store (food and discs - who could ask for more?). He will be set up at Pioneer Park Headquarters all weekend with tons of goodies. Pizza Hut will also have pizza slices for sale at the other parks during the lunch hours.

Hotels: I've been trying to get the best deals for our out-of-towners. Super 8 offers $70 (tax included) rooms with you PDGA discount and early booking. Days Inn is $60 (tax included) with the same PDGA discount. I personally recommend the Super 8 as it's the newest place in town and it's in a good location to reach the parks.

Looks like we just might get double chains in time for the Open at Pecan Park. All you who have had splash-outs rob you (Yes, I'm talking about you Matt) can rejoice in our good fortune!

I don't complain about spits anymore and have moved on to courses in general.

Having a second set of chains at Pecan for the 1st time would be a great thing for the event since it is the usual complaint heard every year.
