I just want to say that the new Innova banner ad is REALLY irritating. I DO NOT like coming to the site and having a loud noises everytime I change pages or slide my cursor over the ad. It's disruptive to what I'm doing and I would like it very much if it went away, at least the noise.

I'm not a fan of the sound either but I just hit the mute button when on the site. I suspect the sound thing is an experiment to see the reaction so now both of us have given some feedback.

Cool beans. Yeah, if no one voices their opinion, I'm sure it'll remain, or get worse. I just wanted to make sure the powers that be were aware that I, a frequent user of the site and supporter of the PDGA, don't appreciate it and would like to see it gone ASAP.

Also, if you use Firefox, like I do, none of the banner ads even show up with the ad blocker add-ons they have. I don't see the top banner ads or the side ones.

Not to mention its file size.

Sound ads are very annoying for all sorts of reasons. When I encounter a site/advertiser doing this, my initial reaction is annoyance along with disdain for whichever party is responsible.

At work i do not have control of internet and web browser settings. and i am not going to mute my computer every time i go to the PDGA website.
I love innova and support them in all they do but this ad is a MISTAKE!

I find the ad very annoying. At first, I thought someone had hijacked the site again and put those cat screeching sounds on as a result of a tense discussion topic. But no, it was a completely legitimate and annoying advert.

i don't care for the sound either, not everyone has a 'mute' button they can push instantly, most people have to click a few places to get to the volume control.

The whole site is moving slow lately as well, not sure if its related or not.

I agree with the sentiments in this post. Lose the sound it is unnecessary!

innova is a great company of engineers , but this design is not desirable , please remove the sound effects

I want to thank Innova and the PDGA for disabling the sound effects on the banner ad. the ad looks great and it is a huge help to people like me at work who surf on the job.
