After the SoCal banquet in a couple of weeks it will be too late. Also, Mike Byrne is already hard at work setting up the SoCal team for the NorCal/SoCal team challenge, and initial invites are based on total points. He also typically hands out invites at the banquet, and once the invites go out it also too late for corrections.

Please accept this as your personal invitation to attend the 2010 Year End Challenge and So Cal Series awards banquet at El Prado Regional Park in Chino this Saturday. We use this occasion to honor the top So Cal Series points earners thank our volunteers. We hope you will be able to attend to congratulate the winners and show your appreciation to the Tournament Directors and volunteers that made the 2010 So Cal Series possible.

There will be an 18-hole fun disc golf event in the morning at the beautiful Prado Disc Golf Course (non-PDGA, non-So Cal event). Following the event, we will have the So Cal Series Awards Banquet and annual So Cal Membership meeting at the banquet facility in Prado Regional Park.

Sign up starts at 8:30 and the player meeting is at 9:30 AM. The So Cal Series awards banquet and elections will follow at approximately 12:30pm. During the banquet, we will also be handing out awards for 2010 Bag Tags, so don't forget to bring it with you.

The Awards Banquet will be held on site at the Prado Regional Park banquet room and features grilled Fajitas with all the trimmings. The $15.00 cost includes the 18 hole fun event and banquet. It DOES NOT include admission into the park. Cost to enter the park is $10.00 per vehicle. Alcohol is permitted in the park during the event and the banquet, however, none will be provided. There is a full campground on site offering full hookups for RVs or tent sites.


This will be the first opportunity to renew your 2011 So Cal membership and pick up your 2011 Bag Tag. You can also renew with the PDGA and take advantage of a $5.00 discount. This is also the full So Cal DGA membership meeting and elections for the 2011 Board of Directors. It is not too late to volunteer to help or serve in 2011. This year Evan Taylor is stepping up to run for President of So Cal DGA. We hope with new leadership, maybe others will be willing to help. Please consider serving in 2011. Call Suzette if you are interested or have any questions about what you can do to help.

As this is a catered event, we really need to know by Wednesday, December 8th how many will be attending. If you are interested in attending either the Awards Banquet or Disc Golf event please call or send an email confirming your plans. Please let us know if you need a vegetarian option.
