I am working on an article for PDGA.com on the Fly Ink Open. I need a picture of Live Oak or McClain to put in the article. The picture must be 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall. Get out there and starting snapping photos. Send submissions to [email protected] or post on the facebook page. I like the Judson Route better. Just seems like it would be easier for out of towners to travel back and forth. It's pretty quick too.

Its the most direct route, and the one calculated as fastest by google maps.

Once you got across the street after 17 instead of going to 18 you stay to the right and play one hole along the street up towards 1604 (17A). Then you'll play back to basket perched on the burm near the street (17B).

If you can�t or don�t want to play in the Fly Ink open but still want to be involved come be a volunteer. Volunteers are needed on Friday December 3rd, Saturday December 4th, & Sunday December 5th for a variety of activities. For volunteering you�ll be provided with a player�s pack and some other swag, plus you�ll get a firsthand opportunity to meet and have one on one interaction with some of the world�s elite disc golfers. As you can see this event is quickly filling up and with lots of out of towners too. Make sure you get signed up for this even soon before time runs out and divisions fill up.

That should help entice some more top pros to play.

We are at 110 players regsitered for the Fly Ink Open. I see a lot of local names missing from the players list. With 9 different division, and 2 pools this event is close to filling up. Divisions will start to close next week as additional players sign up and I don't want any local players to get frozzen out of this event. Please pass this along to others who may not look online.

Bird and I put in some work at McClain on Sat. morning... hole 11, 12 and 14 look sharp now!

If anyone goes out for a practice or casual round this week... please take a trash bag with you. There is a lot of small trash around the course that needs to be picked up. Let's get this course looking great so the big names will come back!

I played the LO courses today. There's a 4 man blocking sled parked fairly close to the Lake course's first hole (normally #6). It's right where you want a righty sidearm to come in to skip up to the basket (yes, I hit the sled on what should have been a park job).
Can we get that moved before the tournament?

I am withdrawing from the tournament. The 2 rounds I played yesterday were a test of how my knee would stand up (so to speak) the day after playing 2 rounds. Unfortunately, not great. So, rather than risk reinjury playing 3 rounds in 2 days, I will not play.

However, I am now available to help you with running the tournament in any way needed. Let me know what I can do.
